First, I want to thank Kate Frost, Boldwood Books and Rachel’s Random Resources for providing me with this book so I can bring you this review.

You may just want to grab some tissues and clear your schedule as this is one of those binge read type books! In A Love Like No Other Kate Frost writes an emotional story about couples IVF Journey.

For many who have gone through the IVF Journey this book will hit home harder than say me who hasn’t. However, I have a heart and totally could empathize with what these couples and women were going through.

One of the things I loved about this book is Kate Frost created and wrote these characters and stories from her heart and you could tell. Only to find out later she too went through her own personal journey with her husband.

I loved the Hopeful Years Blog that Pippa wrote of her emotions and feelings of what she was going through personally at the time.

Another aspect I liked about the book was the bond shared between Pippa and Connie after meeting from an online blog.

There are some ups and downs in the books when I was scared for one of the characters and hoped they would be ok.

Kate Frost would like to dedicate this book to her husband Nick, her son Leo, and anyone who has struggled with any fertility issues.

A Love Like No Other follows 4 women as they grapple with issues of motherhood, infertility, identity, and relationships. This book explores some very deep topics and may be difficult for some people especially those currently dealing with infertility issues. However, the story is well done and the characters are real and flawed.

Some of the story is predictible but not in a way that prevented me from enjoying the story. I definitely wanted to keep reading to see how some of the scenarios would unfold.

This book was originally published as Under the Apple Blossom.

If you enjoy women's fiction you should definitely give this book a go!

Kate Frost delivers a heartfelt and emotionally resonant novel in A Love Like No Other, a story that intertwines the lives of four women as they navigate the complexities of motherhood, identity, and relationships.

Pippa and Connie share a deep bond forged through their longing for motherhood, each grappling with unique infertility challenges. Georgie, already a mother, wrestles with the unexpected and overwhelming realities of parenthood, while Sienna thrives in her child-free, independent lifestyle—until unforeseen events lead her to reevaluate her choices.

The narrative beautifully captures the highs and lows of each woman's journey, weaving themes of hope, heartbreak, and resilience. Frost's writing is tender and evocative, making the characters' struggles and triumphs deeply relatable. The story explores sensitive topics with grace and authenticity, providing a poignant look into the joys and trials of different life paths.

While some elements of the story are predictable, this predictability doesn’t detract from the emotional depth or the connection readers will feel to the characters. The blend of drama and heartfelt moments ensures the novel remains engaging from start to finish.

Highlights:

The realistic portrayal of each woman’s journey, offering a sense of empathy and connection.
The exploration of diverse perspectives on motherhood and life choices.
A strong emphasis on resilience, friendship, and support.
Final Thoughts:
A Love Like No Other is a beautifully crafted story that will resonate with readers who appreciate women’s fiction and emotionally charged narratives. Whether you’re seeking a story of hope, love, or self-discovery, this novel is sure to leave a lasting impression.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing an early review copy of this touching and memorable book. Highly recommended!

This was a book I wasn’t prepared for, and it caught me up and left me in floods of tears. It's not all sadness; there’s plenty of joy around IVF as well as pain. I have a number of friends and relatives who have been forced down the IVF path, but they each have found some success, albeit after the actual treatment had allegedly failed.
A lot of the story includes Pippa and her IVF journey. She starts a blog to follow her story as she and her husband endure the highs and lows. I certainly found it interesting as I learned more about the process and felt real empathy for those enduring the regime. Coincidentally, a week later, I watched the film ‘Joy’ which documents the story of the pioneering medical team behind the IVF process. It was impossible not to be invested in Pippa’s experiences and I could feel her joys and heartache. Through the blog, she touches the lives of others who are also using IVF, most notably, Connie.
Connie and Pippa became bonded in their journeys, and a real connection was made between them. It felt natural that she formed that bond, as her immediate circle was all far less invested in the battle for a lasting pregnancy. Connie was a character that I also took to my heart, feeling her disappointments rather deeply.
Looking at Pippa’s circle, we meet Sienna and Georgie. Sienna, Pippa’s best friend, is completely married to her career and not even vaguely interested in marriage or children, and Georgie, Pippa’s sister, is far too selfish for a new pregnancy as she is immersed in her career and a burgeoning affair.
The writing is first-class, and the way the story switches between characters is beautifully handled. I felt a real connection to the IVF process, possibly because of the experiences of friends and family, and that may have added to my understanding on an emotional level.
All I can add is that this is a beautiful, well-considered book that helped me better understand the pain associated with childlessness.

Kate Frost’s A Love Like No Other is a hopeful and heartfelt page-turner that packs plenty of emotional punch.

Pippa Green can feel her dream of having a family of her own slipping through her fingers with each passing second. At thirty-four and about to embark on IVF, her feelings of hopelessness and despondency grow stronger with each passing day as she wonders if she will ever hold her own baby in her arms. Unlike Pippa, her younger sister Georgie seems to have it all. With a husband, a baby, a thriving career and a lover, Georgie seems to be living the dream until her husband drops a bombshell: he wants to have another child…

Pippa’s best friend Sienna has the world at her feet. Travelling the world and with a successful career in film, Sienna also has boyfriend Ashton by her side. However, Ashton wants her to commit to their relationship and when Mother Nature throws a curveball their way, will it make them or break them? Happily married Connie is sharing the ups and downs of her fertility journey with Pippa. But what effect will her inability to conceive end up having on Connie and her marriage?

As the four women’s lives collide in the most unexpected of ways, will they manage to find the happiness they seek? Or will their future end up being full of regret and heartbreak?

A Love Like No Other is a departure from Kate Frost’s escapist romance novels, however, its blend of sensitive storytelling, relatable characters and heart-wrenching emotional drama will ensure that readers who pick up this affecting and poignant tale, that beautifully explores the complex lives of its four female protagonists, will not be disappointed.

Written straight from the heart, A Love Like No Other is a wonderfully candid, touching and captivating novel by Kate Frost that should not be missed.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

In this complicated and emotional new novel, readers follow four women as they struggle with motherhood, pregnancy, and love in their daily lives. Connie and Pippa become friends and bond over their struggles with IVF, while Pippa’s sister Georgie is juggling too many plates as a married new mom with a career and a lover and Pippa’s friend Sienna, a successful location scout, as her partner Ashton wants her to commit to a future together before the decision is made for them. As their lives continue to collide and things become more complicated, readers discover how fragile lasting happiness is for these women and if their relationships with each other and their loved ones will make it through. Readers should be advised for discussions of infertility, miscarriage, and depression throughout the novel and adjust accordingly, but the emotions Kate Frost brings to life in this book are powerful and complex. The characters’ unique struggles are moving and deeply emotional, and the different perspectives are not overwhelming and balanced out over the course of the book, giving readers the chance to follow each story’s progression. With its emotional storyline and fantastic characters, this is a powerful and moving new release fans of female friendships will love.

Four women, four journeys, four trials and tribulations
Full of aspirations and hopes of different celebrations.
Each woman faces challenges in their lives now
But they'll make their way through somehow.

For some it is the impact of IVF and working your way through,
Others share the journey, creating friendships that are new.
For others pregnancy hopes and fears have a different impact
Colliding their lives in unexpected ways, that's a fact!

An evocatively portrayed story about their different lives
Sharing their hopes and just for what they strive
Showing how so much can be changed by what you're going through
Impacting your life and what you decide to do.

For my copy of this moving story, I say a huge thank you
As I share with you this, my honest review.

This was a much longer read than I typically go for, but I was invested in all of the characters to the very end.

Pippa’s experiences gave me a much deeper empathy for friends I know who have struggled with infertility. Georgie was the epitome of “short-term thrills yield costly mistakes” and “the grass isn’t always greener.” Sienna pissed me off; I wanted so badly for Ashton to walk away from someone so stubborn and selfish. My heart completely broke for Connie (and Nathan) who ended up with the shortest end of the stick when it was all said and done.

Overall, this was a great novel. It could be triggering for some with the themes of infertility and pregnancy loss. I enjoyed the pace, the way it was written, and how the author allowed time for the readers to get to know the characters.

This was my first book by this author and was a rollercoaster of a read. The story charters the journey of four women into motherhood and the struggles that they face along the way and also offers a very candid insight into the world of fertility treatments. I was throughly invested in this story which was a heartbreaking and emotional read at times but also highlighted the importance of friendship and the female bond.

I will definitely look out for more books by this author in the future.

This book should come with a warning because it's going to make you blub like a bitch!

Frost writes from the heart as she takes us on an emotion strewn journey with Pippa, Connie, Sienna and George as they navigate their way through life and its complexities.

Our four main characters are quite the mixed bag of personalities, they're realistic, relatable and I found myself emotionally invested into them and their stories immediately.

A thoroughly enjoyable and emotive touching story of love, life and hope.

This was emotional, candid, relatable and a vivid description of trying to conceive and getting pregnant without trying. It is a perfect narrative projecting what it is to be a woman in today’s world.

It follows the story of four women in varying stages of life- trying to conceive, motherhood, to marry or not and single-hood.

It deals with some triggering topics such as infertility, IVF, miscarriage and cheating.

I enjoyed it and could relate to some of the experiences in the book. I didn’t expect the plot twist and was glad it was dealt with way earlier than expected.

It had depth and the ending was wrapped up nicely and I would love to read more from the author.

Frost delivers a very emotional read about women, babies, fertility, and all the other emotions that accompany those topics.
Most of the characters are miserable for the majority of the book and some do irreparable damage.
I thought Pippa was obsessed with having a kid and was miserable. Luckily she had Clive.
Georgie was my least favorite character. I thought she was selfish and chucked away a very good thing.
Connie was probably the most sorrowful character but the ending for her was hopeful.
I identified with Sienna but felt terrible for Ashton for most of the book.
Sometimes longing for something so hard destroys what we already have.
Thanks to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for the early read.

The story’s themes of resilience and support linger long after the final page, making it a memorable and touching read.
