Nevaeh has had enough of living the fast life and wants to concentrate on her education and newly found relationship with her boyfriend Big, but her tainted past comes back to haunt her in the most unexpected way. Will Nevaeh and Shelly become big players in their game of Bait and Snatch or will they lose everything, including their lives with one roll of the dice?
The Authoress BlaQue, nicknamed the BlaQue Angel because of the twisted and dark stories she weaves, was born and raised in the Washington, D.C. area where she currently resides with her son. BlaQue began writing after reading several Donald Goines books and decided she would love to pen stories in the same gritty, fast-paced manner. After writing her first novel Dirty DNA and allowing several of her peers to read and critique her work, she decided to submit it to G Street Chronicles where in July 2012, she joined the ranks of some of the heaviest hitting authors in Urban Literature. To date BlaQue has written across several genres, including erotic, street lit, thrillers and contemporary fiction including a highly anticipated collaboration with NeNe Capri entitled Diamonds, Pumps & Glocks. Recently BlaQue started her own publishing companies, Pink Angel Publications (2014) and Fade 2 BlaQue Ink (2016) where she now self-publishes her own work. BlaQue is a jack of all trades and recently took on the role as agent to some high profiled clients.
EXCELLENT!!! Fun, fast & refreshing! I loved it!! All I could say at the end was, "Why?" Smh...I truly enjoyed that story. BlaQue did a great job of developing each character into an important part of the story. When you start reading it, turn your ringer off and tell your family not to talk to you because you won't want to miss NOT ONE THING! Good job BlaQue! ~BOSS LADI
It is truly a thin line between love and hate! I wish Nee Nee would have used her brain more and then she wouldn't have found herself in some messed up situations with Big and the crew.
BlaQue gets me every time with these astonishing endings. I started reading Bait and Snatch on the day it came out and for some strang reason, that I cannot explain, it got put on the back burner and I'm just getting back to it. Now I can officially say that I have read every book by BlaQue and this one isn't anything short of brillant! I am so happy that the sequel will be out on Thursday! Every page of this book had a little something intresting going down on it, causing this book to be the ultimate page turner! The ending....well let's just say that what I thought was going to happen didn't. If you don't know, then you need to sit down start reading! What I will tell you is that every book that BlaQue pens has a message or lesson to be learned for her readers. This story is no different. There will be several morals to this story. Some that stuck in my mind were: Watch the company that you keep and Keep your enemies close and your friends closer! Another astounding, legendary read goes under BlaQue's Belt and onto my bookshelf! BRAVO!!!
FROM THE VERY BEGINNING I WAS INTO THIS BOOK.. WHEN YOU START READING Bait And Snatch YOU THINK IT'S THE USUAL STRIPPER MEETS DRUG DEALER RELATIONSHIP GOES GOOD UNTIL DRUG DEALER FLIPS, BUT THAT COULDN'T BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH. THIS BOOK WAS HOT JUST AS YOU START TO SETTLE IN READING YOU'RE HIT WITH A SHOCKER & THEN A REVELATION & THEN ANOTHER SHOCKER.. THERE WAS NEVER A DULL MOMENT. NAVAEH & SHELLY TOLD THE STORY OF HOW TO BAIT AND SNATCH A BALLER, BUT THEY DIDN'T ALWAYS PLAY THE GAME HOW IT WAS MEANT TO BE PLAYED. I LOVED NAVAEH'S CHARACTER BECAUSE SHE HAD THE RIGHT MIND SET, BE INDEPENDENT, GO TO COLLEGE, MAKE A FUTURE/CAREER FOR YOURSELF AND SHE WAS DOING THAT UNTIL THE GAME CAUGHT UP WITH HER.. NAVAEH WAS BOOK SMART, BUT SHELLY WAS STREET SMART YOU COULDN'T PLAY HER & PULL THE WOOL OVER HER EYES CAUSE SHE WASN'T HAVING IT. SOME OF THE TWIST BLOWED ME AND THE OTHERS STRAIGHT UP SHOCKED ME! I LOVED THIS BOOK AND WOULD RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE!! NOW I'M OFF TO READ Bait And Snatch 2: HIDE AND SEEK
"Bait em and Snatch em" is the saying of two friends Nevaeh and Shelly. Things change when Navaeh find her perfect mate in Big. He is just what she needs as she continues to concentrate on her education. Soon things turn out too good to be true for both Nevaeh and Shelly and many secrets are revealed, truths are told, and set ups take place. What will come of their "bait em and snatch em" saying? Will the girls succeed in baiting and snatching or will the past come to show them something different?
This was a good read by Blaque and I couldn't wait to find out what would come of the girls and would they be successful in their bait em' snatch em' plan. I was completely shocked in how things turned out because I saw it completely different in my head. There was one time in which the author had me confused based on contradicting actions by the characters. I would be willing to read book 2.
Mz. BlaQue you have done it again, Bait and Snatch was really a great read. Each time I go to pick up one of your books I am amazed with your ability to give your supporters another jaw dropping book filled with nothing but excitement as well as the twist and turns like you do. You give us something different each and everytime and I so love that about your work. This story was different and not like others that I've read. The ladies in the book I enjoyed...but the men not so much. I truly felt sorry for Nevaeh, Big did her so wrong he needed his ass beat for the thing he did to her. I enjoyed the bond that she and her friend had she was truly a ride or die friend. I just hated how it ended, but I guess all stories can't have a happy ending huh. Once again you delivered us with an awesome read. Thanks for bringing us this 5 star banger!!
Stripping wasn't enough for Shelly. So, she devised a potentially deadly game of baiting men with sex and snatching all of their wealth after they were down for the count. So much more happens in this story of deception and mayhem. Neveah learns that the actions of her best friend aren't the only acts of deception taking place, and she finds that her own brand of trouble lands her in much more hot water than she anticipate. As she and Shelly navigate the streets of D.C., they learn to watch the sudden movements of others. The ending left me anxious to see what happens next, and curious about the resolution to obvious drama introduced in this book.
Wow I wouldn't have seen that coming from a mile away. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth is a true saying. Great read looking forward to much more from this author.
Great book. Blaque did it again. Navaeh and Shelly were crazy. Big was out his mind. I couldn't believe how one person could have so much bad luck. Naveah I felt bad for. Would recommend this book.
This book was so tragic. The heroine had just about every bad thing that could befall a young woman happen to her. Absentee (both physically and emotionally) parents, a gritty, thankless job, and the wrong choices in men all collaborate to create an almost infinite, insurmountable stumbling block. Sometimes I felt sorry for her, and sometimes I felt like her naivety resulted in exactly what she deserved. Either way, the author did a good job keeping me turning the pages, often with my jaw on the floor. I've only just started reading this genre, and I'd recommend this book to long-time fans as well as newbies.
Shelly was a slick one! It's amazing she & Neveah remained friends for so long. This was a very good fast paced read about some of the tricks & stunts these 2 pulled--kept me reading non-stop! Never a dull moment wth these 2. Big was just scary, crazy & over the top with his antics! Good twist at the end --I didn't see coming made this book all the more exciting ! Good read!
