Silent Silver, the creator of the new literary genre "Animantasy" (anime inspired epic fantasy) is a debut author whose passion for storytelling has been a lifelong source of solace and inspiration. Born and raised in Slough, England, Silent faced significant challenges early in life, including childhood trauma, homelessness, and financial hardship. Through these difficult experiences, they discovered the transformative power of writing as a means of self-expression, healing, and connection with others.

Over the past decade, Silent has poured their heart and soul into crafting "The Secrets of Silver Clouds," a novel that draws upon their personal experiences to explore universal themes of resilience, friendship, and the indomitable strength of the human spirit. The story follows the journey of Goaden Reeves, Ashai, and their companions as they navigate a fantastical world filled with magic, adventure, and the constant struggle between light and darkness.

"I could run circles around you and still have time to braid my hair". This book... THIS BOOK. I cannot believe how brilliant this debut novel is frem Silent Silver. The story alone is incredible but the way it is witten had me hooked. Not ony is the world building amazing but never too intense, the chatacters have so much depth. The hidden easter egg links to Anime, Chamed and fantasy wilst having a modern day London setting is amazing, The twists and turns had me shouting out whilst almest throwing my kindle Being able to read this book like a privilege and ran to order cannot wait to see what happens with this series as it progresses. You can truely feel the authors heart and soul in this book and it makes it such a brilliant work of art.

incredible Read!

I absolutely devoured this book. The story gripped me from the first few pages. The writing style is poetic and beautiful. It flows incredibly well and paints a vivid picture of the world. The characters are diverse and well formed. Their individuality shines through from the beginning and only grows as we get to know them better. The story is interesting and exciting, full of mystery and intrigue. Set in a version of London where modern technology meets magic, we join the characters as they navigate their way through this world seeking answers to mysteries of their pasts, fighting for what they believe in and forging bonds with one another. The pace is not too fast and not too slow, a Goldilocks of action, adventure and beautiful world building, the culmination of which grips the reader and draws them into this incredible world. I truly cannot wait for the next book! An absolutely amazing debut novel. If you love urban fantasy, found family, anime, magic and much more then this book is for you!

I am not a fantasy reader as a whole, but from the beginning there was something about this book. It pulled me in and dragged me to an entire new world. The world building happened WITH the story not crammed all at the beginning. It was a masterpiece. The twists and turns kept me on the edge of my seat and the the author threw in a couple curve balls that were shocking but FANTASTIC. If I could rate this book on a 1-10 scale it would still get all the stars.

This book was freaking incredible!! It’s Urban Fantasy that takes place in London, England. Magic is absolutely everywhere in this book! The characters were amazing and the story was gripping! This is actually my all time favourite read! It has so much going for it. This is a high fantasy like no other I have ever read before. There are so many creatures and characters of such great imaginary creation and talent I sat truly amazed. The storyline was absolutely enthralling, action packed and full of so much dramatic tension it kept me turning the pages. This book is such a work of art it will be a reread for me at least once a year and will faithfully buy all the books. Thank you Silent Silver for a truly unforgettable book.

I feel so lucky to have had the chance to read this debut novel by Silent. It is amazing.

The story is based in London but with a magical twist due to the fantasy aspect within it.

The book is full of action, adventure and mystery mixed with betrayal, love and loss which keeps you on the edge of your seat always wondering what will happen next.

It is a story of good versus evil with the morally grey M16 (magical police) fighting against the evil fae for what they believe in, guided by and looked out for by their individual guardians (one of whom was my favourite character).

I won't say anymore as I don't want to spoil it but
I highly recommend this book, if you love fantasy books you have to read it.

I absolutely fell in love with the characters, the plot , n how unique this book really is, it is so different from the usual "fantasy " I've read before, silent has a way with words that builds the story perfectly, the action n mystery is perfect. So many emotions throughout the whole book felt every emotion, love, anger, I've laughed , I've been sad .. it's an absolute whirlwind , absolutely beautiful writing 🥺

Omg this is an amazing read
It had my imagination running wild and it had me hooked from chapter 1.
The only way I can describe this book it's like harry potter vibes but with a MASSIVE TWIST AND SHAKE UP!!!!!

A fascinating fantasy world, complex storytelling, beautiful art, and a diverse set of characters. This story feels like a manga/anime (imagine a manga version!). I love the descriptions of the holy items etc, it’s intriguing.
I will buy a paperback version if/when it’s available here.

It is pretty fast paced though, I hope the next one will slow it down a little bit, so you can get to enjoy and understand the story a bit better (I was confused at times, how things were moving). With a little more details, more time to connect with the characters better, and longer fight scenes (ha!), this would be even better. I am also curious how everyone looks like…I am bad with names, so a visual would be nice ;).

This book is one of my top reads of the year. This book is based in magical London. You have a morally grey team of loveable characters, magical police, and, of course, a gang of villains.

A nightclub in the sky? Betrayal? Angst? Love and loss? Found Family? Low Spice? Fantasy? Then this is the book for you.

If you enjoy anime, then this is the book for you!!!!!! My Hero Academia meets Harry Potter vibes! This has a very diverse cast of characters.

What a fantastic book with phenomenal artwork.

This is Silents debut novel and I am impressed! Fantasy is not an easy genre to write, but Silent absolutely delivers with a well thought out plot line, intracate characters and unique magic systems.

The vibes were immaculate and reminded me of so many things - Men in Black, Stardust, Harry Potter, Venom, Beast Boy, RoboCop, Zelda... The list goes on. There was such a diverse cast of characters and places.

The writing style Silent has is almost magical itself, unique and poetic, painting a vivid picture of the story in your mind. I could literally picture what was happening like I was watching a movie. I loved the style of world building too. Silent has created an entire lore book and has incorporated pages from it that gives backstory to not only characters but places, buildings and magical artifacts too. I thought it was such a powerful way to really immerse you in the story.

My reason for 4 stars is there was a bit of repetition throughout with some of the language used, and there were a couple of points where I got a bit lost when the story switched POV and I needed to go back and remind myself of what had happened.

Overall though, I loved it. I'd highly recommend this book and will absolutely read the next one.

I absolutely loved this book. Urban fantasy with a lore that belongs I'm an epic fantasy.
I loved the found family aspect and good versus evil done so differently than I've ever read. The illustrations and descriptions were beautiful and helped understand the lore and world without an info dump.
Highly recommend giving this book a try.
