Having survived a camping trip with the Photography Club, a group whose main extracurricular activity is offering its sexual services to the student body, Takashi Tono is suddenly thrust into the club’s next group excursion—a summer hot springs retreat! Meanwhile, even the club’s veterans of debauchery can’t escape the worst fate of all—true love!
Tanaka Ogeretsu (おげれつたなか) is a Japanese manga artist. She uses this name for her Boys Love manga production. She also publishes non-BL manga under the name Marumero Tanaka
While I didn't think this volume was as good as volumes 2 and 3, I still liked it. The guys helped Shikatani get out of an uncomfortable relationship with Matsumura, proving that even though they give each other shit they actually do care about each other and there was a breakthrough in Yu and Kyosuke's relationship.
Towards the end of the volume, the club members visit an inn owned by the family of a former member. Poor Akemi just wanted to have an orgy but everyone was too distracted by the inn's hot spring and foot bath. 😅 I assume we'll see the conclusion of their vacation in volume 5, so I'll be looking forward to that.
So far, this has been a decent series, but I don't see it becoming a new favorite. Even though a few moments have managed to get a chuckle out of me, overall, the humor just doesn't work for me. 2.5, rounded up

kaum kam 「Come to where the bitch boys are」 an, musste er direkt gelesen werden.
Story wise this really feels elevated compared to the previous volumes, really enjoying this series. The cliffhanger with the phone call home for Tono really sucks lol I already have the next volume preordered
I had already read most of these chapters already but since the official translation for this volume is getting published soon I still reread the entire thing again because why not ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I know I repeat this a lot but weird sex aside, this story is so good??? and the characters are so deep and well done??? like they are actually three-dimensional and very enjoyable to read??? My only complain is that it was too short and I wish more chapters had been included :( It was over too soon 😞
It might take a while (again) but I can't wait for the next volume to come out. I had missed this story a lot and the characters as well :(
Finally overcame the worst element in this series and the character is gone. *yay* but there’s not much development for the other characters and it feels like the series is just stalling.
Tanaka surprised me with the plot points in this volume of Yarichin. Most of what I didn't like from the last three volumes was 98% absent, and there was also an awareness of the relationships I haven't seen so far in the manga. Chapter 17 was gripping in context (I found it online in Japanese on Tanaka's pixiv a few years ago), some of the characters took a backseat in favor of developing ones who hadn't had as much page time, and Tono is now starting to become a more empathetic character rather than a flat one. He does care about his fellow club members' well-being despite being the target of their judging him for still being a virgin. He doesn't still need that.
The pacing has also improved in exploring the side characters and Tanaka hinting at future plot points. Who is Minami? Will Jimmy and Yuri's relationship hit a pothole? What was Tono's phone call about? Although there are more chapters out than there were when I last checked (without being logged in to pixiv, Tanaka is now on Chapter 22), I'm going to wait until the next volume is officially published stateside. Here's hoping Tanaka's art is back up to speed with the future chapters; the cast didn't look as defined this go around.

I kind of feel like this deserves to be two stars but the story bumps it up to three. This in conjunction with the 3rd book really emphasize the actual story and characters rather than just attempting to be funny all the time. And of course I love how it's attempting to be more in depth with Shikatani's backstory and unrequited love, and the fight between Kashima and Yacchan. But it's just so freaking short that you feel completely robbed of any meaningful developments. I thought we would see something really substantial between Kashima and Tono happen but no! Nothing happens! However I did like seeing everybody in the club ban together to save Shikatani from his horrible teacher. I feel like they were barely even at their summer vacation which made it so unnecessary. Basically, good story bad length. Definitely one for the wall.
This was the weakest of the installments. It feels like a set of short stories that were made after the main novel was published to great acclaim. Yes, Vol. 4 discusses Shikatani's coming-out story, and that he pretended to be a prude in his former school because he was in love with his best friend. In a way, it does disclose why he and Matsumura are in a relationship, but it seems a bit weak because it wasn't really brought up that much before. This installment also sees Kashima and his cousin Yaguchi have it out, but the resolution is too quick for my taste. Anyway, the creators should have really taken more time with this (it's also the slimmest volume) instead of rushing to meet the demands of hungry BL fans.
The bitch club boys coming together to help Shikitani?!? The teamwork! That was so cute, cause yeah that teacher was wrong as hell. Shikitani didn't deserve to get hit. Also YURI busting in at the most perfect moment, hell yes! Finally kashima and Yaguuchi airing their grievances and becoming friends, finally! I really like Kashima and Tono together. The confession from jimmy was so cute I'm rooting for Jimmy x Yuri. I love Yuri so much and I want to see more of him. Tono's talk with his father and how dismissive his father was??? Oh my heart. I hope this series never ends!

The third years are all so saaaaad. Poor Itome, poor Akemi, poor Shikatani. They all have this happy go lucky personality but they're going through some things :(
So much to unpack in a future volume. Volume 5 WHEN?? The volumes get shorter and shorter. I want volume 5 to be nice and chonky like volume 1. I know the mangaka is writing this one slow though since they're mostly doing it for fun.
This was the shortest of the series so far but still just as over the top as the rest. I liked seeing more of Shikatani and his past, even if it wasn’t the happiest. It was nice though seeing Shikatani get out of the unhealthy relationship he was in. Thought it would not be this manga if the rest of the "Photography Club" didn’t help him.
Nice Humor Slightly Angsty Chaotic Friends Good Friendship Good Character Development
I was a little bit shocked at how clean the bonus art book was but it was adorable. Also I am shocked from the difference of volume 1 and volume four. The first volume was so over-the-top and comical but now that we are getting into further volumes there is more backstory. I'm enjoying both aspects of Yarichin, I'm giving volume four a solid four star.
this whole series is a solid 4 and this book is no exception! watching a few characters put their past traumas behind them to be better versions of myself was my favorite part of this book. the series is slow at giving us what we want but i assume that when we get it it’s going to be god damn good.
i think the shikatani situation could have been talked about more, it was a bit disappointing how they just got over it and we don’t even get to see what shika decides to do about his friend… still, i gave it a 4 because of yacchan and kashima :( they’re my favourite characters by far, along with tamura, i very much enjoy all the shades of tamura we’re seeing and now we wait…
I like that the guys teamed up and helped Shikatani get out of a messy situation. That middle finger at the end when that a-hole teacher got fired was the best!!!! Now, I don’t like that it’s taking so long with Tono and Kashima/Yacchan. Everyone’s getting f*cked and these three are just… ??? Lol
