And in that hell I discover things about myself that should make me sick. We've been taken, held against our will, made to do despicable things...
Is it wrong that I like it?
Deep in the darkest parts of my brain, some of the things he makes us do make me feel good. And in this hell hole, claiming back any joy we can feels more important than what's morally right. As things push further and our boundaries are destroyed, what will kill me first?
Darkest Descent is a full length with novel pitch black themes and many, many triggers - you can find them listed in the front of the book.
This was one of the most trigger filled, dark, depraved, and absolutely messed up book I've ever read. Please, PLEASE, read the warnings and exit out if it's not something that catches your attention, because this book is FKED UP! I freaking loved it, so I'm not sure what that says about me but oh well 🤷♀️🤣🤣 I would definitely recommend this to the girlie's, guys, and they's that love 🩸 relationships and dark ASF reads!
terrible day to be literate and have a curious mind when someone says this is the most bananas thing you’ll ever read (they were right, and i’ve read a lot of insane shit tbh)
however unfortunately for my eyes it hooked me good and quick with all the crazy so i did read this in one sitting 😂
Wow. I can’t believe this book hasn’t been banned on amazon 😅 This book is super dark, extremely taboo, and has some very rough scenes in it. Actually, I’d say 80% of the book is rough so if you find anything triggering you might not want to read it. Now I really don’t know how to review this book because… well, it’s just a ball of darkness, so I’ll add some of the most triggering things and scenes in a spoiler tag below. Don’t worry though, I won’t spoil the twist even though I’m sure many readers will figure it out pretty fast!
I don’t like when a character goes through abuse and then abuses other people but “it’s okay because they were hurt too”. Like fuck that. Hunter tortured and raped his younger siblings because their father did it to him but they were completely innocent. Like yes it is awful that Hunter went through that but the moment he did that to his siblings he was no better than his father regardless of his reasoning.
Also, the torture Hunter put the siblings through were not equal. He obviously favored Asher bc he was more gentler with him. When he fucked him he used lubed & went slowly. When it came to Alice, Hunter pissed on her and forced to drink it, she was tied up while her vagina was mutilated by needles then double penetrated by her brothers. He also put ice cream on her mutilated vagina while Hunter fucked her. I cannot believe she forgave them. Especially while it was happening she was wishing for death in that scene. I was proud of her when she stabbed Hunter’s eye. I just wished she would have killed him. And I’m not saying Asher deserved to go through what Alice did. Just that Hunter clearly favored one twin than the other based on the treatment.
This book would be ten times better if Alice killed her whole family and then got to live her best life alone because the amount of stuff she went through by her brothers were awful.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Sometimes I honestly just wonder what went wrong with me 💀 Like why do I read this stuff 😭 But also I would rather burn myself alive than do anything mentioned in this book with my sibling.
What does it say about me when a book this fucked up doesn't even faze me 😎 Twins kidnapped and tortured by a maniac; made to do some truly depraved things to each other and the kidnapper. Some things come to light and man, was it a doozy. I honestly felt this would have had a bigger impact if there wasn't a happy ending. In some instances, a sad ending is chef's kiss to really hit you in the feels. I wish Yolanda Olson had written this instead, she would have knocked it out of the park with this subject matter.
Def check TW/CW. This is heavy w/ torture & made my stomach turn at parts. You’ll be put through the wringer but once you make it out the other side…it’s good. And by other side I mean the epilogue.
It’s akin to watching a torture horror movie. It’s gross but intriguing in an absurd way so you kinda keep one eye open until the very end. I’d call this erotic horror but it does have love & HEA.
Idkkk, in the beginning you’ll prob be confused how it possibly EVER gets better; but if you make it to the end - you’ll be rooting for the MCs to live free and happy after all they’ve been through.
Though, I still think one person needed to do a fuck-ton more in apologizing & redeeming themself.

I was in the mood for dark romance, but I think I've found my limit on what I enjoy reading. The plot itself is good and the writing style is good, with multiple POV's, but I just couldn't get on board with the themes in this, I should have taken the trigger warnings more seriously.
well, extreme, cruel story with lots of taboo, Asher, Alice and Hunter... strong characters! I liked it, especially the end of the story! For those who like the genre... I recommend it!
4⭐️ and I’m not rating the spice! I couldn’t put it down, idk what that says about me 🙊🤣 addictive! Please check your triggers, incredibly dark!! Pitch black!!
Twins Alice and Asher Samuels find themselves held captive by a depraved man who seems to know so much about their lives and is intent on torturing them. Relying on each other to survive, Alice and Asher take an unexpected path.
“Something inside all of us was broken. But we were broken together. And that’s all that mattered.”
Narrated in multiple POV, these characters have endured, but while doing so, they have also been fractured. Certainly, the subject matter and actions taken are in the extreme taboo horror category and some scenes were definitely pukeworthy. My issue was the extreme actions occur rather fast without delving into the character relationships, trauma or past; therefore, losing impact and steadying on being dark without substantive development.
