Erm, this was a hit or miss for me. I think it had great potential but it lacked a lot of depth to the story or any of the characters. Characters were just…there and gone pretty quickly. Not a whole lot of world building or character development besides Raven’s whole point: she’s a person and doesn’t belong to anyone. But then there’s like 5 different dudes saying they own her? You know the stories that feel like they go: “and then” “and then” “and then”…yeah this felt like that. I couldn’t tell what was really the main plot of it? No big climax or plot twist. Scenes were short lived, glazed over, and rushed. It was mid. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I did not like this book. Her naivety and nonchalance were too much, given the circumstances. I felt sick, reading what felt like the mind of a child being used repeatedly by much older men. That’s probably my own take, but she felt far too childish, and that mindset made the plot feel extremely confusing. This had a lot of potential, but it just wasn’t for me, the way it was done.
