What can I say? I have a kink with good looking, cross-dressing guys. I’m sorry but I can’t help it. Though this seemed nice at first, it was heavy on the sex scenes and it lacked a bit of plot, lol.

I mean, it was hot and sweet at times but I kinda need more substance to it. Still, if you want to read a quick BL with two guys having sex, this might be for you but just know there’s a bit of an age gap between them.

I've really liked the other Mamita works I've read, so I was excited about this one; I was fully prepared for Mamita to be a new favorite mangaka. But this was just...not it. I was hoping the whole "blackmailed into having sex to keep his secret" storyline would be a misunderstanding, with the grumpily handsome subordinate having a heart of gold, etc, but he really does remain kind of a jerk the whole way throughout.

Also strange, honestly, that Nabatame would be so disrespectful of someone in the industry when he was raised in his mom's hostess club, and helps to manage it now. Saying it's Manabe's "job" to satisfy him at work, even when there's a strict no touching policy...it's honestly really distasteful. Was not a fan of that or a lot of other things he did, including the "I'll turn you into a real girl" line. That's...not what sex with two men is, and not what Manabe had ever expressed wanting. In fact, he'd said the opposite.

I liked the idea of a tired, 40 year old salaryman enjoying sewing and crossdressing and wanting to find a place outside of work where he could relax and unwind and be himself, but it kind of felt like Nabatame took that away from him. Their relationship never had much development; I didn't feel an emotional or romantic bond. Manabe was just a stand-in for the guy Nabatame had a crush on when he was younger - his mom's boyfriend, and older man who'd been kind to him and who crossdressed. I didn't get much of a sense that Nabatame developed any respect or love for Manabe himself.

So that was disappointing. Ugh. Oh well. Hopefully Mamita's other works will be better, and this was just a kinky one-off that I'm not into.

I went back and forth on 4 or 5 ⭐️ and ultimately decided I loved the art and overall story enough to add this as a 5 ⭐️ but it still remains that I don’t think the blackmail was necessary plot device to get them to an intimate relationship. If it had gone on a little longer of the intimacy was a little more coerced I would have downgraded this big time and the way it’s laid out might be a no go 🙅‍♀️ for other people but i personally could look past it.

The art is beautiful and the storyline premise of a 40 yr old office world finding joy in working as a crossing dressing serve on Saturday night in secret is 😘👌

And the bonus positive is that the spice scenes are completely uncensored. The spice is 🥵 in this stand alone

i don't know. i knew it'd be erotica, but i hoped it'd be a lot softer, endearing, and sweet.

The ml is lowkey a dick. There's some manipulation. I do like the artist/author so I was putting up with it to see where it would go. Idk if there's any real redemption arc. Just that the mc grows to like the ml.

TW for this one: very dubious consent (if not outright non-consent), blackmailing for sex

I'm pretty much in consensus with the other reviewers here -- the blackmail part of this was very, very icky. I also don't like it when one person is clearly hesitant or unhappy and the other person is like "This must be consensual and you wanna be here because you haven't left yet/you're turned on/you haven't pushed me awayetc." It's very unpleasant because things just don't work that way. Of course Shiro is going to stay with him, he threatened the security of his job. It just really wasn't okay.

However, if you can look past that as a problematic and very unfortunate trope of the genre (of which BL and especially BL smut has many), I think that there is a good couple hidden underneath the surface of these two. They both have secret things about them that they can't tell anyone, but they can be open with each other, and they support each other without judgement. I ended up finding them very sweet, I just wish that Mamita-sensei hadn't gone the blackmailing route. I really do like Mamita's works and feel like they write stories that are touching, funny, and extremely sexy, with great art to match. I think Mamita writes characters and character dynamics that are very enjoyable, again, if you can see past the less-than-savory parts. If you can't, I think that's totally understandable!

Two travel agency admins don't see eye-to-eye at work. The branch manager, Manabe Shiro, struggles with details. Nabatame Kuro has been sent from headquarters to get the branch back in the black. Manabe Shiro relieves his stress by working 3 hours every Saturday night as "Mashiro" in a dress-up men's cabaret while not wearing underwear. Kuro stumbles in but immediately wants to stir things up with him. Their relationship is initially physical and explicit, but eventually, they learn more about each other, and it develops into something more. The saving grace in the explicit illustrations is the costumes Shiro makes, including several fluffy maid costumes and a nurse costume. I expected more fluff, but this story got right to the point and then hit again and again.

I think this was such a great book doing Valentine’s Day. Because it just filled a different kind of dynamic between a relationship of doing individuals. In a personal, professional animal, Romantic manner. This book not only had me smiling because I learned so much about the main character. And it stayed focused on him although I would’ve loved to learn more about his love interest. I’m content with what I had and I like the parallels of howthey met in the middle if that makes sense. The artwork is freaking stunning and the author’s note at the end made me giggle.

Considering rounding up to 4 stars because I did like this. I just think if it was a bit longer it could have added more plot to the story.

I do love how cute Manabe is in his outfits and I love even more that he sews them himself. It’s so cute how happy he gets when he gets to dress up.

My favorite scene is in the last part of the book where he does a twirl for Nabatane to show off the new outfit he’d made and Nabatane praises him. This made me giggle cause it was so cute!!

This is an erotic BL that contains the black mail trope, age gap (12yrs), double life trope, office workers, and an mc that's a travel agent by day but a cross-dressing club member by night.

Overall, the erotica was alright - if anything it just felt like there wasn't much of a plot development so bcz of that imma have to give this a 2⭐️

BUT if you want to a read a 10/10 erotica that contains bdsm, wholesome moments, double life trope, and is between 2 adult office workers then I HIGHLY suggest looking into: " Tie Me Up, Stare Me Down [ 縛って見つめて ] " by Taki Zawayuki.

The older I get the more I am leaning towards yaoi/BL with men in their 30s/40s. This was a fluffy yet smutty story that was endearing, sweet, and romantic. The smut was very well illustrated. I am definitely biased cause I love cross dressing and older men. If you are like me, then you are in for a treat.

This book turned out to be better than I anticipated! We got have some fun with mild tropes and we didn't have the glowing white space of suggestion. All matters were *ahem* accounted for.
It was a festive read, covering how sometimes you just end up a manager just because of time rather than skill and the ways people seek to have some measure of happiness in the exhausting world of work.
