Something fishy is going on in this Mature-rated Boys' Love romance about sweet crushes and crazy dreams!
I, Yuri Hiroto, have apparently turned into a pervert. I've been having dirty dreams lately—about getting groped by sea creatures! And even worse, these dreams include someone staring at me during my filthy fish time: the marine biology nerd from my class, Ogasawara-kun! The guy is so obsessed with undersea life that honestly, he kinda weirded me out at first. But now that I'm deep in the closet pretending to be "normal," I think it's attractive that he can be true to himself without caring what people think. Of course, the moment I realized I like him, my dreams became even more obscene! Cut to our hang-out at the aquarium, and while I'm looking at fish with Ogasawara-kun, I actually get turned on?! Seriously, what is wrong with me?!
From the cover, you will think this is straight up hardcore Yaoi porn but in fact, it’s so wholesome man! It’s about a timid guy who just got dumped by his gf and meets another guy who non stop talks about fish. He even gives interesting facts about fish, especially when it comes to mating.......Moving on!
You do get the sugaryness in the end so what are you waiting for? Read this adorable Yaoi lads!
I'm glad I took a chance on this. Despite its salacious cover, it's actually a very sweet coming of age story of first love and acceptance. Plus Minami's tendency to incorporate animal facts into everything creates plenty of funny moments.
This manga is a lot better than the cover and and description imply. It was just such a sweet and heartwarming story. I liked how it really took the time to flesh out Yuri and Ogasawara's relationship. The whole tentacle-p*rn thing was a little weird though, but that was kinda the point, so don't avoid this one just because of that aspect. Even though the tentacle thing is important to Yuri's story, it has more to do with his growing affection towards Ogasawara than an actual fetish. This is just such a sweet story and I definitely recommend it.
Just gonna start by saying that YES I am a freak ! I love yaoi ! And this has tentacle shit going on ! I love that ! Anyway!!!
This is literally “me and the bad bitch I pulled by being autistic.” Ogasawara is my autistic son obsessed with fish, and I love him.
Apart from the tentacle stuff (if that’s not your thing), it’s actually a super nice story. I don’t usually like reading BL one-shots because I don’t feel like the characters are fleshed out enough for me to care, but this was definitely not the case. I wish there was more of them because they’re so adorable, and I’m rooting for them.
I loved the bonus chapters and the color spreads. I’m really hoping the author does more stories in the future because I loved the art style, character design, and humor.
Cute story about two people who begin to hang out at the aquarium every weekend. We learn that they’ve both been interested in each other since the beginning of the school year but it took most of the volume for them to actually voice it to one another. It’s cute and simple. There’s no complications or anything to intervene the budding friendship and later relationship. There is a moment where Yuri decides to out space between him and Minami because of insecurities but it’s short lived. It has a happy ending and a color photo gallery!

This was a lot more wholesome than I thought it would be lol. The naughty dreams were a lot more tame than I was expecting, but I'm not complaining. The relationship was pretty sweet.
I cried. This creator understands queer life in a way that is deeply personal. As someone who was in the closet in high school, I wish I could have confessed my love to the guy I liked. This book was cute and silly in concept, but ultimately true to life. I loved it.
This was a reread and I have to say it was better the second time. I enjoyed the funny dreams bits this time where last time I was just a little wigged out by them. It is a story about one person who is themselves unapologetically and other person who feels like they have to hide. It's charming.
bro did NOT have to tell him about his dreams INCLUDING THE DETAILS 😀😀😀 anyway pls don’t look at the cover too closely this was actually really cute and not as freaky as it looks 😭
I started reading this manga with no expectations and ended up feeling satisfied, haha.
It's a lighthearted school romance with one main conflict that gets resolved quickly, so it won’t get you too emotional. But more than that, it's just a fun read because the two main characters are portrayed with such pure innocence for their age, which made it even more enjoyable for me.
Honestly, there's nothing too special about the plot or the art style, but I’d still recommend it if you're looking for something to read.
This was such a weird concept and such a cute couple. I kind of got confused as to what the "feeling" of this story was supposed to be. The couple was adorable and i feel like this story kind of understands the feelings of a first love.
Bizarre, fetishy concept, but actually really sweet!!
Yuri is a closeted gay that starts visiting aquariums with autistic-coded Ogasawara. Like my man has one interest and no people skills. Yuri's interest in Ogasawara inspires weird wet dreams with various sea creatures, so awkward, what do.
I, a connoisseur of Japanese erotica, have come across a few tentacle themed hentai (which, from my understanding, came about because you didn't have to censor tentacles so they were a way to bypass censors but to get real nasty with it!)
I love that this manga "went there," even made sense, and then, uh, kept it there. The relationship was so, so sweet. 10 stars!
Sometimes you read the name and summary of a manga and it just sticks in your mind. That’s the case with this one, after all, who would forget the name of something called Wet Dream Aquarium? When this one came up on a list of new releases while I was researching, I couldn’t help but laugh - especially after reading that summary. I knew I had to buy it, even if this sounded like the most ridiculous thing. But you know manga, sometimes they are really just perfect at doing the ridiculous just right…
Holy crap this was so cute and wholesome! I bought it because of the ridiculous name and the funny cover and I don’t regret it one bit.
Lately, I’ve been buying manga that have very weird/ridiculous names and covers because I wanna discover different types of manga without judging solely based on the reviews or synopsis of the book.
The story is very cute and funny. I love the art too. There’s something about their relationship that is so comforting. They just click so well. Minami is so funny too, he’ll just spit out random facts about sea creatures out of nowhere. He even does this during their ‘freaky’ time and I couldn’t help but laugh haha.
To be honest, I did not expect this to be a wholesome, well-researched book with an ACTUAL gay protagonist and proper execution of themes related to identity and freely being oneself.
Add to this the fact that it was both hilarious AND delivered on both aspects of the title? For a debut manga, this is excellent work and I really did enjoy this.
Warning: one of the protagonists is a marine biology nerd. Feel free not to google things whenever a very specific subspecies of starfish is mentioned XD
This was an interesting story. As a love of sea life I was a bit put off at some moments, the use of tentiles was a but much and the fact that nerd boy keeps using fish term in his everyday like especially during sex was a bit off putting. I did like the lovely fish drawings and I did enjoy the two leading characters they are sweet and fun together, just a bit over done with the way the author used the seaworld in sexual ways was off putting. I liked that there was both fluffy and sex together but looked very high school young. Was overall interesting take on a different spin.
I love the cover of the book. Yuri and Ogasawara-Kun are a high school students. Ogasawara love fish or anything related to sea creatures and is a marine biology nerd. Yuri has been dreams about dirty with sea creatures whatever he goes out on Sunday with Ogasawara to aquarium and learn about sea creature and Ogasawara. The rest is interesting. I giving this a 4 stars rating. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Plus this book was recently released.
More of a 3.5 star rating; I didn’t expect this manga to be as wholesome as it was, and that aspect of the story just warmed my heart. I like that we got a lot of background on Yuri but wished we got just as much information on Ogasawara. I really liked their dynamic together and seeing the gradual progression of their relationship was really sweet.
I'm a sucker for a weird premise, but if you're worried about this being TOO weird, rest easy. The back cover rundown makes it seems insane and pervy but it's actually an incredibly wholesome BL that follows a kid who is deeply closeted falling for someone who isn't afraid to be himself. I loved it more than I thought I would.
Okay, whatever thoughts you have looking at the cover, they're (mostly) wrong. This is a surprisingly sweet story with a cute concept and very little actual drama. Yes there are tentacles but rest assured they're just in dreams.

This was a really cute graphic novel. The characters were fun, the art was great, and the story was sweet. It's also probably one of the more realistic looks at being a teenager and coming to grips with having a sex drive. But generally it's just a fun little idea with some funny characters.
