Hannah Bieler has married and her siblings are looking toward their marriage prospects in Chasing Heaven Amish Romance Boxed Set by Becca Fisher. Each sibling has problems in their love lives. Grace is picky and refuses an arranged marriage. Elizabeth thought she had her man when he finally admits he found someone else. Clara is not sure she wants to stay in the community or leave for the English world. William is looking at Englisher girls but is searching for who he is and what he wants.

This is a four story set consisting of Chasing Heaven, Lord Willing, Waiting on a Prayer, and Leap of Faith. Each story picks up where the last left off. They need to be read in order.
I liked the characters. I also enjoyed how the story was done in vignettes with one the Bieler family as the focus of the vignette. I liked knowing the thoughts of each person as they went through their lives trying to discover love and the right way for him/herself. It was not easy. I particularly enjoyed that the parents and grandparents were included in the story and the vignettes. I especially liked Mariam and Daniel Bieler, the parents who let their love for each other show while worrying about their children and Mariam’s parents. That was a nice touch.

On the down side was the lack of proofreading. There was a loss of continuity of ages and names that pulled me out of the story often. That is regrettable as Chasing Heaven Amish Romance Boxed Set is a good read with good, realistic characters. They deserve better.

This was the 6 box set i got online for 99 cents. It was an ok read. I liked finding out more about the Amish people and their religion. There were lots of typo errors in the books, repeating of the same paragraph and other errors. I didn't like how at the beginning of each new book she repeated pages of text from the first book. I guess it would help a reader that had not read a previous book. I felt she could have been a little more creative with that. Definitely an easy read.

Some reviews are saying this is a box set of books on Amazon, but what I read was a short story, only about 50 pages long. Was it a precursor to the box set? I have no idea.
However, I do know that I won't be reading the box set, even if it is unrelated. This short story was atrocious. Waaayyyy too much was crammed into the story. It also contained numerous grammatical errors (especially punctuation), terrible word choices, and overall poor writing. There were approximately 10 different relationship problems taking place throughout with little to no resolution involved. The author never really finished a scene, but cut to the next scene without flowing comfortably. There was way too much dialogue and not enough description. In fact, the only person who was described at all was a plotless side character who was only involved for about a page.
On top of that, a character, Abigail, gave a terribly insensitive quote during a conversation about parenthood woes: "Suddenly, not being able to have children doesn't seem so bad." WHAT?! I honestly couldn't believe I read that. No one, and I mean no one, I know who's had trouble being barren would ever joke about being childless. It was the last straw that made me dislike this short even more. Very relieved it was only a free e-book.

now that Hannah is married her parents look forward to her 3 sisters Grace, Elizabeth, and Cara getting married as well. Grace however is rejecting the arranged marriage her parents agreed to, Elizabeths long time beau has met someone new, and Cara is more interested at what lies beyond their amish community. Can Daniel and Miriam get all 4 daughter married off, or are they destined to have kids at home for the rest of their lives?
This was an ok book, it was very short but you had no problem getting the characters story. It did seem to jump around a bit at times, but it usually made it pretty obvious whose story you were focused on

This author obviously didn't do her research into the life of the Amish.

Too simple.

There really was no plot. I am not interested in reading any more of her books. This book had no depth

Chasing Heaven is an eBook written by Becca Fisher. The author described her characters in great detail and also showed the personality differences between the four Sisters.

This books starts out with the marriage of Hannah, the youngest of the four sisters, which has everyone wondering just how Hannah was the first to marry. Even William , the only brother, is scratching his head trying to figure it out. You will learn the story of an arranged marriage, does it actually happen? Which one of the sisters has a desire to explore the outside world, will she be allowed to go? Of course there is the sister who is trying to figure out how she was jilted and didn't even see it coming. What happens with the fourth sister I will leave as a mystery.

I was not given a complimentary copy of this eBook for review. The opinions and statements are strictly my own. I have rated this eBook with four stars for a great story. This story only took approximately an hour the read. Congratulations to Becca Fisher on this book and hopefully she will have more stories released.

REVIEW

This book was full of Typos, repeating paragraphs and some other errors. I'm not so sure she did much research into the Amish and their ways and she was using pages from previous books as filler. I also found the language in this book and some other books of this author's not very authentic. Amish, from what I've read don't use much teen slang, like OMG. I found the descriptions of the clothing, the kitchens and other things just didn't appear as the descriptions and details that I've gotten in other books about the Amish that I've read.

Maye this author's books would be good for the very young reader, but even then they wouldn't be getting a good idea of what the Amish life is like. That would be, to me, a rather insult to the Amish.

was given a complimentary copy of Chasing Heaven from the author, Becca Fisher and Amish Romance Author for my view of of the book.

I would have rated this book higher if not for the repetition. While books in a series usually have a short recap or explanations to clarify the characters' relationships to readers who have not read the earlier books, this series has repeated pages and complete dialogues. It was like repeated deja vu. Some of the dialogue was awkward and the use of some slang expressions seemed out of place. The entire series was 177 pages, making it more like a collection of short stories. I received this book as an Early Reviewer. I have not been compensated in any way (other than being given a copy of this book) and my opinion on the book is entirely my own.

This is the first story in a 6 box set. It gets you acquainted with the Bieler family. I like to read other reviews and compare my thoughts with others. I found very few typos in this first story and no repeating sentences or paragraphs. I cannot attest to what the other books in the set are like. It could have been a little more creative in the storyline but is definitely an easy, fast read.

OK, I'm not a writer, but I could have done better on this one. Gives a brief idea about several characters, but nothing in depth. With only a few pages, I understand it needs brevity, but some development would be better.

Okay, but not exactly great

The first half or so of this book had my interest and attention; however, as it progressed, the storyline seemed to drag and began to lose focus, then ultimately interest. Maybe I'll try again another time.
