Wanted: A Way To Control My Jealousy So I Don't Get Sin-Binned

When my best friend goes on a date with a mutual acquaintance, I'm supposed to be happy for him, not so angry I want to start screaming.

Devon and I have been close ever since we were children, but I’ve never been possessive of him. Until now.

Seeing him with another man makes me want him in ways I’d never imagined wanting anyone before, and now all I can think about is having him in my arms. My jealousy is starting to get the better of me, both on and off the rugby pitch, and I can't stop losing control. And Devon has noticed.

Maybe it's time I come clean and tell him just how much I want him.

And hope he wants me too.

I kind of struggled to be invested in Devon and Jonny as a couple because really not that much happens in this book and I feel like I know as much about them now as I did before reading the book.

They both play rugby, they're best friends and they're finally playing for the same team but by the end of the book they're in a romantic relationship. It was very sweet and fairly low angst which is what I expect from a Charlie Novak book, but besides a few scenes where Jonny is a jealous caveman, the rest of the book is either them playing/training for rugby, or them having sex? Devon doesn't have a personality except 'plays rugby, likes nice wine, is Jonny's BFF and in love with him', and Jonny is pretty much 'plays rugby, plays D&D'...

It just felt a little boring? I would have liked to see Jonny do a bit more exploration of his feelings because although he has one therapy session, he never really talks about it with Devon or figures out how to move forward - they just have sex... Also it would have been nice to see the friend group being more supportive of Jonny discovering his feelings for Devon. It felt like they really pressured him into admitting he had feelings for his best friend with no regards to the fact that everything was so new to him, and then he was just suddenly some gay sex god even though he'd never been with a guy before and had never felt attracted to one? Everyone seemed to completely brush over the fact that Jonny had never felt strongly about anyone at all - it all kept coming back to 'well he hasn't had anyone at the house for sex'.... I just expected more of the emotional sides to the characters I guess, so this was disappointing.

God I love a possessive man, especially when said man is only just realising he's been in love with his best mate for years.

Of course, said best mate has been hiding his crush since they were teenagers, so once the cat's out of the bag, let's just say the kettle boils over and ALL the steam comes rushing out.

This book's plot is inspired, Jonny's bisexual awakening comes along with a streak of caveman and a slightly more dangerous jealousy that puts his career at risk.

I loved that Charlie used this as the main tension driver for the narrative. Jonny has always been protective of Devon, he's rescued him from an abusive ex once before, but even he knows that he way he's behaving once they get together isn't normal.

As with the others in this series, we get plenty of excellent Rugby Union action, too, and Charlie's nailed the excitement of watching (and playing) the game with the Lincoln Knights.

Here, we get to feel the stresses on the players in the scrums, see the effects of a late tackle, and appreciate the potential for disaster with each play of the ball.

It's visceral, and, as a big fan of both codes, I love that we're getting a sports romance that's not the typical American Football or ice hockey.

Of course, I absolutely adore Devon and Jonny as a couple, and I love the journey they take to reach that point.

While Jonny might have needed an intervention from Mason and West to get him to open his mind about just why he was so possessive of Devon, once he gets it, my lawd is he all in.

There's not much more attractive than a man who demonstrates in every word and action just how special he thinks you are and Jonny's a master at it.

He's also quick to realise Devon's got a bit of a praise kink, and that he likes being used and told he's a good boy.

The heat is off the charts in this book. I mean, each one so far has been scorching but Jonny's added possessive streak brings a whole other layer to the sexy times.

Of course, there's always something to get in the way of a smooth path to the HEA and, as I mentioned earlier, I love the direction Charlie takes here. No spoilers, but it felt completely believable to me and is handled in a way that fits perfectly in the narrative.

We get plenty of time with the rest of this gang of people too, which I always appreciate, and there's a few hints as to where things might be going in the future.

I'm very much loving this setting and the characters that inhabit it, so I hope Charlie continues to be inspired by them!

Future Evelyn, I know you'll come back here to read the review when you can't remember what it's about but you see it marked as 'Read'.

Know now that it was so basic that you don't WANT to remember.

So little of note happens in this.

Generic. Generic. Generic. This is where best friends to lovers goes to die (of boredom).

You also rated this 2* because while you didn't like it or get invested in the MCs whatsoever, you didn't hate it and nothing offended you about it.

I received an ARC of The Fly-Half in exchange for an honest review

First up I had not read book 1 and believed this could be read as a standalone. After reading I think you definitely need to read book 1 for context regarding Ryan and Ryan’s pronouns.

While Ryan is a minor character in this book because I hadn’t read book 1 I was not aware that Ryan used both he / them pronouns.

Let’s just say even though Ryan was not a main character to this story I spent way too much time jumping between chapters reading back trying to figure out what the hell was going on with Ryan’s pronouns.

I would definitely recommend reading The Tighthead first before The Fly-Half to ensure you’re not as confused as little old me. My brain picks up the smallest details while reading and holds onto it until I figure it out. It’s like an itch I can’t scratch.

How did I find out about Ryan’s use of both pronouns you ask? Because I was clearly missing something I downloaded book 1 and searched pronouns and voila… the answer was right there.

Perhaps the author could have written a sentence addressing this early on to avoid confusion. Or add a disclaimer that reading book 1 is recommended before starting this.

I mean yes I know this is not a major plot point or part of Devon & Jonny’s story, but I like continuity while reading and with no context for the constant changing between he / them I got serious whiplash.

Anyways despite this I did enjoy the story. I liked the possessive touch him and die vibes from Jonny, that’s always fun to read.

The story was low angst with decent spice. The spicy scenes were 🤌🏻💋 and different, we never got the same old same old so that was refreshing.

Love that Devon despite being a big burly rugby player was a pillow princess and Jonny was all for taking care of him and his needs.

I do like more angst and my heart to hurt while reading, I like a bit of a hard earned HEA, but despite there being no major drama that caused issues in the relationship it was a good read and I am looking forward to reading more of Charlie’s books.

I think I enjoyed it more than the first book but it’s probably only because it’s BFF to Lovers and it’s my kryptonite. Otherwise, it was a bit flat and they were together so fast. I would have wished for more tension and pining but it was still sweet and spicy. I’m not sure I will continue with this series though.

I’m still blushing. Holy hell the spice in this one. It’s a three chilli’s because I combine a frequency as well as level. Level alone this is boiling.
If you like possessive you’ll have a good time with this one. 🥵

Also I know absolutely diddly squat about rugby but did I still enjoy it, yes! The team are a super found family vibe and they got each other’s backs.
So what I’m saying is don’t let the rugby side put you off if you don’t actually follow the sport.

Once again this is set in Charlie’s world so we get cameos from other books, other series but you don’t need any background knowledge to dive into this one.

It’s fun and low angst and comes with zero drama but I loved it for the escapism and fun cosy vibes that make up a story of two best friends falling in love - and having wild hot spicy times.

It is also an awakening story for one of our characters and we see such a supportive network there, it’s a real positive experience (whilst having some ribbing thrown in cause they’re his best friends afterall).

Great read!!

Devon and Jonny were cute together. They’ve been friends since they were teens and Devon’s been having feelings for him since but couldn’t do anything about it since Jonny was straight. Once Jonny recognises his feelings for Devon and tells him I thought we’d get this big declaration from Devon stating how long his been in love with him but he never mentions it, even when it’s brought up later on the book. It’s something I would have loved to of seen since it’s really impacted Devon’s life.

I feel like they didn’t have a hurdle to overcome in this book. Yes, Jonny is possessive and it affects his game, but it wasn’t really a huge issue to me for it to be this big hurdle they have to overcome. I actually enjoyed his possessive and jealous side, especially in the beginning when Devon and Peaches started talking. It was also interesting that Jonny is a giver and not a receiver when it came to intimacy, which is rare in a character.

I really adored their friends and teammates. They were all really supportive and a funny bunch. I’m honestly really looking forward to Matty’s book next since he’s the single daddy and a really good team captain.

If you love a friends to lovers rugby romance you’d enjoy this one, there’s a lot of rugby scenes.

Oblivious MC, check.

The Fly-Half was a sweet and entertaining best friends to lovers romance, with some long time crushing and pining, and a completely oblivious character who just needed a bit of a shove in the "right" direction.

It was great to see Devon finally get his clueless man, and they were really cute together! I loved the marking and dirty talk, as well as the hints of grey ace rep - even if it wasn't talked about or discussed in depth. I loved their chemistry, and that Devon got to be the pillow princess he was meant to be with Jonny.

I loved how Charlie Novak wrote Jonny's possessiveness and jealousy. It felt realistic, and while it was hot at times, it was also something that he needed to work on. I liked how it was discussed and handled, and that Jonny was ready to get help with figuring it out.

I'm having a fantastic time with this rugby team / found family and I can't wait to pick up the next book in the series!

The possessiveness was really good in this one. I really enjoyed the many different characters as well. There was just so much variety.

Jonny and Devon were well-written characters and their story was really smooth flowing.

Although, it seemed a little far-fetched that Jonny would take to being with a guy so easily when he'd only just figured out he had feelings for his best friend

I really enjoyed the rugby scenes though. As a South African rugby is practically in my blood...💙🥰💙

This one was kind of boring.
Still, it was interesting enough that I did not DNF it.
Not much happened until the last half because they were both denying that they were in love with each other.
It was not very spicy. Nothing super graphic.

This was such a fun, low angst, easy to read book!
A rugby sports romance with friends to lovers, pining, possessive and jealous moments, and hot chemistry with marking galore and thin walls. What more could you want?

Devon and Jonny kept me entertained and I loved every bit of their journey together. I really enjoyed reading this book and I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

Also, side note: Are you even British if you’re not constantly complaining about the weather!?

Charlie’s books are always just like a warm hug, filled with coziness & MMCs that are down bad for each other. I love it! I’m hoping that the next two books are about who I think they will be about, and that we might get a specific bonus scene at some point 👀.

The perfect book if you love:
-Friends to lovers
-Found family/Teammates
-Low angst/low stakes
-Sports romance that actually involves on-page sports

also though not officially stated on page, I would classify Johnny as a pleasure dom which goes perfectly with Devon's praise kink.

Well, pocessive really doesn't begin to describe this relationship. When returning to play rugby with his best friend, who he happens to love, Devon decides it's time to move on for the sake of their friendship and being able to play together. Jonny doesn't know why he is so dang pocessive of Devon, but oh boy, seeing him go on dates ticks that box right off.
The tension is palpable, keeps you drawn in from start to finish. These men are one of those couples that will either be fire together or explode from the tension. You do not know what you are going to get until they finally allow themselves to be together. A great addition to the series, and I am looking forward to more of these boys finding their partner.

4.5 stars!

Overall this was a hugely enjoyable friends to lovers and queer awakening sports story. I liked that the two MCs liked what they liked and made sure to support each other or get therapy or whatever they needed to in order to be there for themselves and one another. Often with jealousy/possessiveness in stories it’s either wildly OTT (which can be fun because it’s not serious), too silly, so creepy, or treated as a wholly awful thing. This book falls in between very nicely and I really enjoyed that. The MCs are so fun and I had a blast with them! The voice actor was fine, not distracting but also didn’t bring much to the story, which is my deduction of the half star.

Jonny is 27 year old cis white bisexual man. He starts off having no idea he’s not straight. He’s always enjoyed women and sex with them, but has never really felt connected to any of the women he’s slept with or dated. He has a long history of being protective of and prioritizing Devon and hating his boyfriends, but doesn’t realize until way later that he’s had a crush on Devon for years.

Devon is a 27 year old cis white gay man. He’s out and comfortable with his sexuality. Unlike Jonny, Devon has known about his crush on Jonny for a couple years, even though he’s had the crush since they were in middle school. Like Jonny, he’s enjoyed the people he’s slept with and dated, but it always felt lackluster and he struggled to connect with the men he’s been with. Unlike Jonny, he knows it’s because he’s so into his best friend that anyone else pales in comparison. Healthy? No, but at least he’s aware of it unlike Jonny.

The two MCs struggle a bit when they start dating. The transition from friends isn’t super smooth, especially with Jonny figuring out he is bi, and also figuring out how to not be too jealous and possessive of Devon in a destructive (to other people) way. The jealous possessive thing works very well for both of them in bed and out of it, but neither of them like it at all in their daily life to the point it may affect work and friendships. To Jonny’s m credit he ends up getting therapy to deal with it both for himself and for Devon. He learns the channel his protectiveness, jealousy, and possessiveness into energy in rugby and enthusiastic sex with Devon. I liked that Devon loved the possessiveness but also had boundaries with it.

Contains:
—gay mc x bi mc
—friends since childhood
—friends to lovers
—bisexual awakening
—rugby players
—jealousy and possessiveness and protectiveness
—cum marking
—hickey marking
—service top and needy bottom

Other:
—first person dual POV
—cheating: no
—romantic rival: no
—breakup: no
—kids: no
—sex: a couple explicit sex scenes. Strict sexual roles. Jonny tops and Devin bottoms. Jonny absolutely loves giving pleasure, and is pretty ambivalent at best about being touched during sex. I liked that he knew what worked for him and what didn’t (he gets enormous pleasure out of giving Devin pleasure, but doesn’t want to bottom or get blowjobs or anything because it’s not exciting for him, even with women) and he didn’t feel the need to do something he doesn’t like to prove he loves Devin (who wouldn’t want that), but didn’t dislike any of it because of how “gay” something was considered. Devin is needy and loves to be given attention and pleasure during sex, even after previous sexual partners have been mean to him about this. I like that they both liked what they liked and didn’t do stuff they weren’t that into to prove their vulnerability - that’s a big ick of mine because wtf.
—HEA: yes.

But none of that meant I was attracted to him. Even if the idea of watching him make out with Peaches made me want to rip the pillows apart with my bare hands until they exploded all over the bed.

The whole thing was a confusing mess I didn’t want to think about. I’d never considered the idea I might be attracted to men, so maybe it would be easier to simply chalk it up to a weird night and move on, especially since I’d never had a sex dream like that before.

It was as if acknowledging my feelings for Devon had unlocked something inside me, unleashing a hungry, possessive beast that wanted to devour him. I wanted to kiss and touch and claim him, leaving marks all over him so that everyone knew he was mine, and hear him scream my name until his throat was wrecked and his voice was gone.

I pressed kisses to the inside of his thighs, nipping and sucking the skin to leave little marks all down the inside to remind him he was mine. Hopefully they’d fade by the time we went back to training, but if not, would it matter? I wanted everyone to know Devon was mine.

Devon groaned as his body stretched around me and I adjusted my position so I could pepper more kisses across the bottom of his spine, casually wondering if he’d ever let me tattoo my name there or whether that would be too extreme. It could go on the list of things to talk about, alongside things like fisting and whether he’d ever want me to get a dick piercing, because I’d read they added a lot of pleasure to anal sex. It’d be painful, but it would be worth it for Devon. My obsession with him knew no bounds, and I would do whatever was necessary to make his life better.

He leant forward and kissed me. “In fact, you’ll have to tell me if I’m smothering you. Because if I had my way, I’d be with you every second of every day. But that’s probably not healthy.”
I chuckled. “Maybe not, but if it works for us…”
“Exactly.” His next kiss was deep and leisurely, his tongue pushing into my mouth.

This was so cute and HOT, I loved it.
Devon had been in love with his best friend for years and he still held hope Jonny would see him in the same way. That's painful and takes a lot of strength. But luckily, all the waiting paid off and Jonny finally realized his feelings and he went and did something about them.
I loved Jonny possessiness, it was so HOT, I was here for it

Okay. This took me AGES to read, I didn't warm up to the writing style (first person past tense is just something I personally don't like), but it also didn't suck me in and I honestly didn't really care about the characters. I'm sure this would have been different if this wasn't my first Charlie Novak book, because this really doesn't work as a standalone, and that's on me. But since I can't remember signing up for the ARC... 😂 There were so many namedropped characters without any introduction and especially Ryan and Rory were so close in names, I would have needed notes to keep them apart. Especially since Ryan uses both he/him and they/them pronouns, which gets introduced in book 1, but here it looks like a mistake and made me confuse them with Rory even more.

I usually like oblivious best friends to lovers because of all the hurtful pining and the release coming with it when they finally find a way to be together, but the pining really wasn't acted out and they got together way too quickly for my liking - I couldn't begin rooting for them, because they were already together when I started to get a feeling for their dynamic.
Regarding their dynamic and character depth: There was so much potential for depth with Jonny's possessiveness and fear of losing Devon, but it wasn't really touched besides one therapy session that faded to black and it wasn't really talked about afterwards. I basically don't know anything about them, and still, if I'd have read the The Court series and book 1 in this series before, I guess that would be a tad better. But there still was a whole lot missing regarding character development, I'm sure this will be characters I'll completely forget, if I don't continue with the series/bookish universe. Also, the spicy scenes were repetitive and I've honestly skimmed most of them.

What I really liked was the whole nerdy thing - not regarding the nerd x jock trope (I'm honestly tired of that), but jocks with nerdy hobby activities. Playing D&D was exactly my vibe and the Stardew Valley mentions? Chef's kiss!

Also, an MMM book was heavily hinted on - it will not be the next book in the series (coming Summer 2025) since the character's name is already announced, but I guess the book after that will be MMM. And I'm really excited for that one since these are the sidecharacters that caught my attention.

All in all I'd say it's not a bad friends to lovers romance, and you will enjoy it if you read the series (and The Court) in order - but don't read it as a standalone.

++++ I've received an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion ++++

Book Review: The Fly-Half by Charlie Novak (Lincoln Knights Series, Book 2)

Charlie Novak delivers another compelling romance in The Fly-Half, the second instalment of the Lincoln Knights series. This sports romance beautifully captures the tension between friendship, jealousy, and the fear of risking a long-standing bond for something more.

The story follows Jonny, a talented fly-half for the Lincoln Knights rugby team, as he grapples with an unexpected wave of jealousy when his best friend, Devon, starts dating someone else. Jonny has never viewed Devon as anything more than a friend—until now. The realisation that he may have deeper feelings hits him like a rogue tackle, leaving him struggling to maintain his composure both on and off the field. His internal conflict plays out in a series of impulsive, heated moments, leading to a gripping emotional journey as he tries to come to terms with what he truly wants.

Charlie Novak’s writing shines in her portrayal of Jonny’s emotional turmoil. His jealousy feels raw and authentic, and his growing attraction to Devon is handled with nuance and sensitivity. Devon, as the steadfast and loyal best friend, provides the perfect counterbalance to Jonny’s inner chaos. Their chemistry is undeniable, making the slow burn of their relationship all the more satisfying.

Beyond the romance, The Fly-Half excels in its depiction of the rugby world. The camaraderie of the team, the pressures of professional sport, and the dynamics of being an openly queer athlete are woven seamlessly into the story. The themes of self-discovery and vulnerability add depth to what is already an engaging romance.

For fans of MM sports romance, this book delivers everything you’d hope for—angst, yearning, sizzling chemistry, and a heartwarming payoff. While it can be read as a standalone, it’s even more rewarding if you’ve read the first book in the series. The Fly-Half is a must-read for those who love a best-friends-to-lovers trope with a side of intense, emotional pining.

Having read book one in this series and absolutely loving it, I was really excited to read this book. I am a big fan of rugby and love queer sports romances. One thing I love about queer sports romances is getting to see diversity in professional athletes. We don’t get to see a lot of queer representation in the real world of professional sports, so I love being able to read it. Plus, if you have never watched rugby, I suggest it because you will get how absolutely hot this relationship is. This book is fairly low angst and a cute story about friends realizing their attraction to one one another. We get a bi-awakening when feelings are forced to the surface through jealousy. It’s a cute story about two characters whose connection is so strong it goes beyond their friendship and creates an explosive chemistry when they finally confess their attraction to each other.

I love reading this series with the main characters and cute rugby players. Jonny has never seen his best friend as anything more than a friend until Devon starts dating. Jonny starts to have strong feelings of jealousy and is forced to look at himself and why he feels this way about his best friend. The writer did a great job of writing Jonny as possessive and instead of allowing it to overtake him, it actually gets acknowledged. Devon has had a crush on his friend for years but sees it for what he thinks it is, pining over your straight friend. You feel for him and the fact that he wants to make connections, but will always have those feelings for Jonny. When these two finally get together we get such a cute relationship between two people that feel so much for each other.

I am a big fan of this series not only for the MM romances but also for a sports romance with a sport we don’t often get to see in romance books. This relationship between Devon and Jonny is super hot and spicy and might have you fanning yourself while reading. This story is such a good cute read with a lower level of angst and two professional athletes who finally come to terms with what they actually mean to each other. It is such a good read and I can’t wait to see what’s next.

This one is just one thing - Kindle melting.

I am joking, this one is a lot more than just hot. I absolutely love Devon and Jonny. Two best friends to lovers is a story line I love and it's very well done here.

Devon is settling back into Britain after several years playing for Marseille and he is still not over his love to the straight Jonny. I love how he is moaning about the British weather and his frustration with the wine served here (I utterly agree with both points).

Jonny is glad to have his friend back. Starting to feel a bit lonely as his friends West and Mason are now cosy coupled-up, he is starting to get irritated when Devon wants to date. Slowly it comes out where the problem lies, it's not just being protective because Devon was burnt in the past, it's him being jealous.

Jonny's possessivness is well done, it's could be a huge red flag in a relationship but what I appreciate is that he is being called out for it, he acknowledge it himself and he looks for solutions, incl. taking to professionals.
Because of this, the parts where he is all caveman are actually funny to read instead of worrying.

His unapologetic takeover in the bedroom is just hot, it's quite fast how he acknowledges it but hey, it's a romance book, not necessaritly real life.
Again, it could be worrying but Devon is not a doormat.

It's great to see the other characters back, the friendship between the team members is what enriches the two main characters and how they look out for each other - including making sure that Jonny understands what acutally is going on with his feeling but also importantly what the impact of his behavious has.

There are lots of hints for future stories which I can't wait for.

Devon and Jonny have been best friends since meeting as kids and playing rugby together, Devon has always carried a torch for Jonny that still burns bright even after living and playing apart for 8 years. When Devon returns back to the UK and he & Jonny are playing for the same team once again the likelihood of those feelings going away becomes slimmer than ever, but Devons attempt to find someone else has unexpected jealousy and possessiveness rising up in Jonny and he can't figure out why even if the reason is glaringly obvious to everyone else.

I really enjoyed the second instalment of this series. It's low angst, friends/idiots to lovers with great friendship group/found family vibes and good spice mixed in. So far, the books I've read by Charlie showcase consent, support, and acceptance really well. Her characters are diverse, interesting, and fun to read. The books have good humour and heartwarming moments. Themes of jealousy, etc, are explored through Jonnys character in this, and it's refreshing to see an MMC go to therapy to understand themselves better, and there be no stigma surrounding it. All in all, this was a cute, easy, quick, and entertaining read, and I'm already looking forward to Matts story in book 3. Definitely recommend giving this series a try. This book releases on 13th Feb. 🌶🌶

"Once upon a time, I'd dreamed that Jonny would suddenly realise he wasn't straight and declare his undying love for me, which even at seventeen had seemed a little far-fetched."

Final Rating: 2/5

This started off really strong but somewhere along the way it just completely lost my attention and interest. By the 75% mark - honestly, I was just bored. I had a really hard time pushing through to finish it. The plot is pretty basic; Devon and Jonny have been best friends their entire life and Devon has been helplessly in love with Jonny most of that time - but of course right when he decides it's time to move on ...Jonny realizes his feelings. This is the set-up of the first half and to be honest it was good! Typical, yeah, but enjoyable. I was feeling good about it - but then everything just went downhill from there.

Firstly, the reverse chasing aspect of the story (where Jonny would realize his feelings and then have to woo Devon) or even just drama with Peaches (the other guy who you think Devon is going to date in the beginning) - which are both things that pretty standard if not expected for this type of plot - does not happen. In place of that we got Jonny being a moody brat for a couple chapters and everyone being like "oh my god what's wrong with you" then THEIR FRIENDS basically solve the main problem for them, which prompts them to get together. So basically, what is advertised in the synopsis of this story as the primary plot - is more or less done with by the 60% mark. From then on, it's basically Jonny grappling with his new sexuality and jealousy alongside some mundane events with their friends - yawn.

I could maybe see some people liking this, but it really just wasn't for me.

story of Devon and Jonny

This is a best friends to more romance, featuring Devon and Jonny, and is book two in the Lincoln Knights series.

Devon and Jonny have been friends forever. Devon relocated back to the UK to play on the Knights team but all that time apart hasn’t seen his secret crush on his straight best friend lessen, it’s just gotten stronger. But what Devon doesn’t know is that Jonny is finally realising his feelings towards his bestie are more than platonic and isn’t this just what these two need. Yay!!!!

These two were all kinds of cute and hot together. This story was low angst, fast paced, sweet and once Jonny realised he was in love with his bestie, it was spice town. I loved how much of a caretaker Jonny was and how it complimented Devon’s pillow princess needs. And I was glad that Jonny learnt to control anger when it came to his possessiveness over Devon.

There are so many great secondary characters too. I have a soft spot for the coach, his book lives on repeat in my brain. I’m itching to know what happens with Matt, and does Jonny’s brother get a book.

I think my obsession with rugby has been ramped up after reading this. Like Jonny, I too love rugby thighs.

Can’t wait for the next book. Thanks Charlie.
