"I’m supposed to be done with these, little dove." Pulling one out, he lit it and walked over to the window. He drew the drapes aside, opened the window and turned again to look at me.

The sun coming through the window made his skin glow like burnished gold all over. As my gaze sank lower down his body, I realized I was wrong. The burnished gold stopped at the belt line where a fat knob of purplish brown skin, all smooth and swollen, tried to escape his jeans.

He blinked and drew his bottom lip into his mouth. "Don’t look at me, baby girl. Not down there -- not anywhere."

Was he serious? He had me tied to the bed, my breasts uncovered, my panties wedged between my lower lips and he was telling me not to look at him.

"Cover me," I whispered. "Please…"

Frowning, Dino crossed back to the bed, the cigarette hanging loosely between his downturned lips. His hand brushed over my hip and along my lower stomach as he reached for the thin white flat sheet bunched on the mattress next to me. He pinched its edge, his gaze catching and sticking on the pronounced rise and fall of my mound as I heaved and squirmed.

Ash fell from the cigarette’s tip to dust along my panty line. He brushed at it, his fingers lingering at first and then hooking the fabric, tugging until the material tore. His knuckle grazed my cunt hair, his eyes slowly shutting. "You’re still drenched, little dove."

"Cover me, please." My pussy knotted in on itself again, the muscles churning and twisting at the barest whisper of his flesh against mine. "Please, Dino."

It was the first time I’d said his name and it didn’t go unnoticed. He looked at me, his expression clouding. "Don't call me that."

My lips parted, the question of what I should call him rising up, but he shook his head. "Don’t call me anything. I’m no one to you."

Already, I knew that wasn’t true and never would be. Even if I escaped this house alive, I would remember him for the rest of my life.

Holy Smokes, this was hot. 🔥🔥🔥

Garnet's life is irrevocably changed when she walks in on something she shouldn't have seen. Big, intense, alpha male Dean steps in to save her life, but it comes at a cost. This was an emotional roller coaster. Garnet and Dean's chemistry was off the charts. I gobbled this up in just a couple hours. I don't want to give much away, but this could trigger some due to dub-con situations. I thought it was dark and delicious. Ladies get your fans ready because the way Dean manhandled Garnet while dirty dirty talking the whole time will make you break out into a sweat.

Even though this was an ARC, I will always shoot you straight. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Finding this one for free on Apple Books after reading Niki’s review, was a delicious gift.
Short,but very hot,with a splash of danger,this one read like a rollercoaster.

The moment Garnet stepped into the wrong apartment, she knew her life was about to change.
Finding not only a dead body, but the killers too,was a dead givaway.
No pun intended….
Thinking she was next as a knife appeared at her throat, she found herself surprised when one of them actually saved her life.
Dean knew he had to act fast if he wanted to save the beauty he’d seen outside.
So,he claimed her, telling the others he’d make her his bitch.
To do with whatever he wanted, and to make her obey his orders without hesitation.
Once back at the mc’s compound,he got close and personal as soon as he had her in his room.
Giving her one chance to say yes before he did what he’d wanted to do from the moment he saw her….
Rocking her world, even if she denied wanting it.
But there’s more to this quicky than a hot, delicious tumble between the sheets….
There’s actual danger, and Dean will do everything he can to get Garnet as far away from it as possible.
And once he does,he’ll have to go back….
Will they ever see eachother again?

A delicious quicky,one i really enjoyed.

3 - 3.5 stars!

Dark Savior is a semi-dark and smutty romance. Garnet walks in on a drug deal gone bad and Dean does what he has to to save her. Garnet is not happy about the whole situation but is willing to play the part to get out alive. Dean is not exactly happy that this beautiful woman walked into such a dangerous situation but he is happy he gets to call her his for a time. A fast paced romance with grit and heat.

I enjoyed this but I do want to rant for just a minute. I have nothing against plus size heroines. In fact, I think they 110% deserve a place in romance. Women come in many shapes and sizes and they’re ALL beautiful. However, I think it becomes a disservice to women and romance novels when the body size of the heroine (whether tiny, average, athletic, plus size, etc.) is repeated over…and over…and over. When I read romance, many times (unless explicitly pointed out) I imagine myself as the heroine in some ways. I like having the creative leave to do so because it allows me to be immersed and engaged in the story. I don't mind it being pointed out once or twice but continuously going back to make a point about the heroine's body seems like overkill to me. Not everyone is going to agree with me and that's fine but my biggest problem with Dark Savior was the constant reminder of the heroine’s body size. I couldn’t really connect to Garnet because I couldn't place myself in the story. However, I thought Garnet was a lovable and strong character who made the best of her predicament. So more power to her!

Dean on the other hand was all alpha and growly and I loved him. Despite his bad boy exterior, he was just a man looking for his woman. Even though this was short, it was well written with an ending tied up in a bow. Will definitely check out this author's other work.

Dubious consent with a bit of Stockholm Syndrome aside, this was a hot story. We know that the captor is a good guy trying to keep the heroine safe by any means so it works out in the end...

Hmmm...Ok, I liked the story, short and nice and blah blah blah.
But why do we women loose our mind when it comes to men?We see some muscle and a tight ass- and it's like nothing else matters?

It's like :vagina - insert penis = brain damage.

This was seriously a lot of feels. I know how that insecure oh they can’t be serious about me feeling. The best part of this book is that Blake has loved her from the beginning. Only after his crazy scheme that there was some serious steam going on! I’m really liking Christa Wick books♥️

I wanted to like this story but it had very little emotional development between Garnet and Dean, you could argue it was a circumstantial/trauma bond not love.
The book could have been better if it was longer and the characters had, more time to be fleshed out

Dean is an undercover agent and the only way he can save Garnet who now must obey him or lose her life. Fast-paced steamy read with lots of drama and twists and turns. This fast-paced read has great chemistry and plenty of steam. I liked it.

Short story

Insta love. Interesting but way more knowledgeable about running a book store than a motorcycle club. The premise was stone cold stupid. There is no way on this verdant orb that she would have gotten off so lightly. I liked the bondage enough to give it a two. TW: bondage and forced consent

You know, I didn’t think I liked dark romance too much. I tend to gravitate more towards romcoms or other lighthearted reads. But this book? Wow, and the sexy parts? (clears throat) All I can say is Christa Wick is an amazing writer. I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Very short but told the story perfectly in those pages. Garnet was doing a welfare check on a student of hers when she walked in on a murder. A big guy called Highlander decided to keep her for his own to save her life and maybe his own. Good story

This book made me feel some type of way 😂. Very entertaining. Quick read. The story is not great but the action makes up for it.

Erotica thriller

The first part of this story was nothing but sex. Not much of a theme. The last part finally had a plot and a happy ending. Not the best read!

Dark and delicious

This was such a cool story. It managed to be dark and her experiences were awful without being gross and stupid, which is what a lot of dark novellas degenerate to. They are a cute and sexy couple, wish it were longer

Stupid!

Would you or anyone you know instantly fall in love with a drug dealing biker while interrupting a murder? Nope. This is the most ridiculous love story I've ever read. Don't waste your time or money.

emotional, exciting

Garnet finds herself at the wrong place at the wrong time, but Dean, an undercover agent, uses the best option to save her. Their story is short, spicy and sweet despite the harrowing circumstances.

Wrong place, wrong time

Garnet only wanted to drop off her student’s homework, but she walked in on a drug deal gone bad. When the killer wanted to end her life, another man steps up and says he’ll take care of her. Out of the frying pan into the fire?

When undercover DEA agent “Dean” lays eyes on curvy Garnet, he knows he has to save her. She’s an innocent. What he didn’t expect is to crave her curves. Can he save her and himself?

Solo Hot!!!

This is one of Christa's smaller novels, but that definitely doesn't effect the heat level of this book! Our curvy girl Garnet has gotten caught up in the wrong place at the wrong time, and her life is saved by bad and sexy Dean who may or may not be a good guy in disguise.

Seriously this book was so hot and the heat between these two is dang near combustible! It only took me a few hours to read this one and it was definitely worth it! Another 'Banger' from Christa!

This is a very enjoyable dark read that is packed with intensity, tension, drama and heat. In fact the only somewhat negative comment I have is that it is pretty short and honestly I felt the gripping and gritty tale would have been much better served with more room to stretch, grow and deepen. Still, as it stands I really liked it. I think it is a perfect choice for when you are craving something dark but and edgy but have a limited time to commit, or are looking for a palate cleanser or if you want something to jump start you out of a reading slump. This is my frank, freely posted review.

Oh how my emotions took me places with this one. First of all I debated a while with myself if I was going to read it because I don’t like dark stories. Ultimately I decided to read it because it was a Christa Wick story and I absolutely adore her stories. Christa’s words painted a visual picture that were both vivid and uncomfortable. I saw the things that Dean had to do to Garnet to save her life in front of an audience no less which still makes me cringe. On the surface Garnet may appear to be weak but to the contrary she was brave because she did what she needed to do in order to survive. I liked both the “hero and heroine“. I put them in quotation marks because one could debate if they were good or bad. I chose to see them as good. When I give a book a low star rating it’s because it was boring or I was indifferent and not excited to turn the page not because I didn’t like the characters. With that being said I gave Dark Savior four stars because the characters as well as the story had me excited to turn the page. Well done Christa. Until next time y’all happy reading.

Dark Savior is a quick read. The storyline pulled me in from page one with drama and intensity. Christa Wick is fantastic at developing drama at the very beginning of a story. She creates believable characters, a place, and a time. She writes in a way that helps you to visualize the story. Some elements in the story may be triggering for some folks, so be forewarned. However, as dark as some aspects of the story is, it has a lot of light.

I love Garnet because she is a perfectly flawed person who you cannot help but root for. She is a curvy girl who embraces who she is. Unfortunately, she is accustomed to being underestimated. People perceive her to be weak, but she shows that she will do what she needs to survive. Who does not love a good, bad boy?! Dean is the guy that your mother warns you about but secretly hopes you will have a fling with before you settle down. The interactions between Garnet and Dean are intense and totally steamy hot.

While I enjoyed this book, the situation that Garnet finds herself in would be horrific if it happened in real life. She stumbles upon a drug deal gone bad, and Dean saves her life, but kidnaps her. They are in a dangerous situation, and Dean had to prove to the group that he's trustworthy. Meanwhile, Garnet and Dean gets to know each other and fall in love. It was a different kind of story, but I liked it.

This was really sexy and dark. It played around the edges with non-con, which made me a little uncomfortable, but the hero was so hot that it didn't matter. I loved the sweet ending and could have read an entire novel about these two.
