This book was written by my husband’s squad leader on his (my husband’s) tour to Afghanistan. Trevor talks about his time in the Marines during his three deployments (2005-2009). It is a series of journal entries and letter he wrote to his grandma. It’s not professional written by any means but gives you his view of his time in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Took me a few months to get through because I wanted to take my time with it! Trevor is a friend of mine I met through Tough Mudder. It was interesting to see a side that people always ask about and most don’t want to or can’t talk about due to trauma. The footnotes helped me a lot as I don’t have military dictionary knowledge.
