Faith Foundations Build Your Life Make It Count
What are you living for?
No one wants to look back on their life and realize that they missed the point. We want our lives to count for what matters most. Unfortunately, many people—including many Christians!—have not aligned their lives with God's ultimate purpose.
We were made to enjoy God in all of his glory and exalt God in all of the nations.
In this short book, David Platt identifies some foundations for our faith that are essential if we want to live for what truly matters. Every disciple has a part to play in the mission that Jesus has given to his church—to make disciples of all nations.

Love David Platt. This was very similar to the series we went over in family group this past year, but it was a good reminder and nice to have it on paper. There are also some good discussion questions after each chapter that could be used with a group.

4.5 stars Would definitely recommend!
Main quotes that stood out to me:
“Disciple-making means showing the life of Jesus in action in such a way that if they were to imitate your life, they would be imitating Jesus”
“God blesses his people through dazzling displays of his love and miraculous demonstrations of his power ultimately not for their sake, but for the spread of his glory among all the peoples of the world”
“Will Gods Word stop with you or spread through you?”

David Platt uses this small yet powerful book to summarize what the Gospel is and why it matters. He calls on Christians to not only focus on living local church-going lives but have a heart for the nations as evidenced by Matthew 28.
Throughout my read, I was convicted to focus more on discipling others and supporting missionary needs in green and red zones as well in the latter chapters.
Highly recommend for any Christians looking to review their faith fundamentals and evangelize their faith.

Very basic truths, simply put. A powerful reminder of our mission as Christians and the life we should be living. Simply enough for new believers with impactful truths for mature believers as well. The questions at the end were similar and not always helpful. there was a lot of space in the book, as if the author was trying to stretch out the page count. Overall, a good book.

This is a generally helpful and short book for helping a young/new-believer in building out some basic theological and practical ideas about following Jesus.
While there is stuff to be considered for every phase of the Christian life, and while many believers could learn from this, most should read with an eye to deepen their discipleship of others if they’ve been believing for a long time.

David Platt's book is short and to the point. It shows the urgency of spreading the gospel and challenges the reader to act on faith and live it out daily. I enjoyed the reflection questions at the end of each chapter. At times, it was a bit repetitive, though.

Good book to use with new believers or as a conversation start with those that yet to believe. Great solid trust, easy to read as well.
