January 16, 2026This was a frustrating read. The writing felt extremely repetitive, to the point where I genuinely wondered if my copy was damaged or misprinted. The same thoughts, descriptions, and beats kept looping without adding anything new.
Whatever atmosphere the book was trying to build quickly turned into monotony. Instead of tension or unease, I felt fatigue. I kept waiting for the story to move forward or deepen, but it never really did.
Unfortunately, this didn’t work for me at all. DNF at 21%.
