Juli Falzone was all ready for her overdue girls get away. Thanks to the TSA that isn’t going to happen and now she is stuck trying to figure out why she was not allowed to fly. A knock on the door only heightens her fear, two police officers with a warrant for her arrest. Now she can’t breathe and the only thing she can think is someone has stolen her identity.
Jared meant what he said, tonight was his last night. Keeping a girlfriend was near impossible with this kind of work and all he wanted was to have a relationship. Of course his partner doesn’t see it that way and is ready for an action packed night.
Juli and Jared have a connection from the start and he seems to push her buttons in all the right places. Although, Juli is a bit tentative with everything that is going on, it doesn’t take her long to open up to Jared and find out what kind of women she really is.
This book was a quick read but interesting none the less. The ending could have been a bit more interesting but the story flowed seamlessly. If you are looking for a quick read with a little hand cuff action, spanking, and foreplay, then I highly recommend this book.

Birthday Bash is part of The Edge series by Decadent Publishing who on their website describe the series as "The Edge is a series of erotica and fetish tales designed to test the limits of our enjoyment of eroticism." Birthday Bash does that with a birthday surprise in the form of two male strippers that turns into a menage cop sandwich with Juli as the filling.
This is a super quick read at about 25 pages, great for if you want something hot and sexy but don't have a lot of time. Waiting to pick up kids, at the doctor, in line at the grocery store, stop and go traffic on the freeway (okay really that is a bad idea not that I am saying I have never done that but you shouldn't, do as I say not as I do)
This is a story of an encounter more than a romance and as such we get a HFN (happy for now) as opposed to a HEA (happy ever after), considering the length of the story that works a lot better than trying to work out how they would get a forever that fast.

Birthday Bash by Kelli Scott is a quick fix for fans of spicy erotic fun.
In this short story, Juli is placed on the ‘no fly’ list by TSA stopping her from heading out to Las Vegas for her birthday celebration. Stuck at home and counting thirty candles by herself is no fun until her best friend makes it up to her by sending Mr. Stud and Mr. Hung right to her door. After a little convincing, the guys coax Juli to cash in her birthday spanks and let her guard down. Talk about hot and sizzling!!
As with all short stories such as these, there’s not much room to provide back-story, plot development or full-on chemistry. But this book did do a great job of steaming my glasses and wishing for a group of friends like Juli! HA!

was really resistant but wasn't Dara always telling
her to loosen up a little.
Jared and Damien were instructed too give Julie
a good time. This was Jared's last night on the job
and he couldn't believe he met Julie and felt more
than just an attraction to her.
This book was so very steamy. I can't believe what
happened between Julie, Jared, and Damien but it was a
good read. I give this book 4 stars.

This is an erotic short story, about 22 pages or so, and a decent example of the genre. There are fairly well-defined characters, a plausible premise and imagery that will feel familiar to many readers.
The set up and sexual play is cleverly detailed, with a bit of spanking, use of vibrators and a M/F/M ménage in several configurations, as a quick pick-me-up read this will fit the bill. Although the ending felt a bit strained, the majority of the story was well formulated and presented, and this would be perfect for a reader wanting a quick read for a pick-me-up.

My birthday is several months away, but Kelli Scott made it feel like it was today…Happy Birthday to me! This introduction into her writing has put her on my radar; I’ll be looking for future upcoming releases (oh, and her backlist – is now on my TBR)! Sexy from start to finish – WoW!

OMG (fanning self) For such a short story it packs the sexual heat into a nice round of bouts with two hunky and hot stripper policemen hired as a birthday gift for Juli. The sex was great but it never really said why she was on the no-fly list and had to forego her birthday plans. Granted she had lots of fun anyhow. LOL
