My ex is back, threatening to expose our sham marriage faster than I can hide my growing belly.
What happens when playing doctor turns into a real-life emergency? And what if our forbidden love flatlines before it even begins?
Dr Jack Stewart and Ashley Sutton hook up early in the book. He is her Dad’s buddy. Jack has some hangups that make him a grouchy scotch drinking bear sometimes. But he is a winner in the sack. So all is forgiven. It hurts that Ashley is left insecure about their connection early on. The grovel and HEA is fun and Dr Jack is sooo entertaining. 🫠 The medical drama and ethical angst in this series is 🤌🤌perfecto ***edited to add the murder in the hospital was a good side story, the lingering ex OM exposes Jack’s insecurities and it is those past wounds that spoil love in the present.
This is a well written book with strong characters in Jack and Ashley. The author does a great job developing the story and pulled me in right from the start. She takes you into their lives with a fake marriage and chemistry and kept me turning the pages with the mystery and suspense. She brings the story to life with her descriptive scenes, moves it fluidly and delivers an intriguing read.

Ashley Sutton just finalized her licensing and board certification to officially be a heart surgeon. Her father, Calvin, host a welcome home party for her on his yacht. Ashley is going to be working with Dr. Jack Stewart. Jack is a renowned surgeon and Calvin’s best friend.
Back when Ashley was 19 and Jack was 34, she tried to kiss him. Jack was not in a good place and he rejected Ashley and told her that he was too old for her. He was still reeling from finding out his wife cheated and getting a divorce. Ashley is now 30 and Jack is 45 but Ashley still wants him. During the party, Ashley finally seduces Jack in the bathroom. They both wanted it but feel guilty.
Jack wanted Ashley to work for him because he has been named in a malpractice lawsuit. Everyone at the hospital thinks she is a first year intern. They are hoping that if Ashley is a new employee, she can get one of the other interns to open up or slip up. The first day at the hospital, Ashley runs into her ex-fiance, Sam. Sam called off the wedding the day of the wedding and Ashley was heartbroken. Sam wants her back.
These two had a roller coaster ride of an adventure. I loved this story from beginning to end.

Love in a Tricky Situation - This captivating story was a real page turner, with the amazing chemistry, sexual tension, drama, angst, suspense, love and the mystery surrounding the demise of the patients, had me so engrossed, I didn’t want to put it down. I found myself going through a myriad of emotions and on the edge of my seat as I continued to read, but most importantly, I was happy with how the book ended. This book deserves every star awarded and has left me looking forward to reading the next book published by T Summers.

Ashley has had a crush on her dad's best friend for years so when him and her dad ask her to take an intern position under Jack to try to find out who is killing his patients she doesn't hesitate to agree. And after a little too much to drink at her coming home party finds her in a compromised position with her crush she finds it hard to resist him. Loved the whole thing. From the storyline that doesn't leave you bored to the characters that are all over the place. Thanks Sofia for another great book.

Sofia never disappoints with her storylines and this one is no exception. Jack is Ashley's boss at the hospital, he's also her dad's best friend what could possibly go wrong? Well there's murders happening left and right, and in order to protect his image Jack and Ashley pose as couple. Only this fake couple arrangement leads to two very really pink lines appearing. Good story arc, dual pov writing, intriguing storyline, boss/subordinate relationship, age gap romance, fake relationship, standalone, steamy scenes, dad's best friend surprise pregnancy, HEA
Jack has enlisted Ashley to help him investigate if someone is setting him up, when a patient of his passed away. Ashley has wanted Jack for years, but he hasn't thought of her that way, because she is 15 years younger, maybe she can change his mind. I loved the scorching heat between Jack and Ashley, the mystery of what happened, and the drama of their story, although sometimes I found Jack a bit frustrating.

Great story. Loved this forbidden love between Jack & Ashley he's not only her dad's friend but her boss. Between the 3 of them they set about a plan to prove Jack isn't responsible for the death at the hospital. We have secrets, lies, mystery, steamy sexual chemistry, love & heartache before the killer is caught before we can see a happy ever after. Once you start reading you'll be hooked desperately waiting for these two who have loved each other from afar for so long.

I absolutely loved Jack and Ashley. They were perfect for each other. Ashley was brave and upfront with her feelings and wanting Jack, something I couldn't even imagine doing myself. It was nice to live vicariously through her. There were multiple times that I wanted to yell, "Jack, just talk to her." For being 45, he had a lot of growing to do. I can't even complain about the ending. It was just right. Most of the times I wish for more, but I was okay with how this book ended.
This book came up in my feed and the blurb sounded promising. The book began with a quick start into adult fun for Ashley’s celebration. At first her strength to go after Jack was good but after that Ashley acted immature. She was a graduate and a surgeon yet her behavior was so young most times for the relationship. The lead male character Jack was not any better. He is supposed to be like 15 years older, but his jealousy was immature too, and not the good book jealousy kind. I was disappointed with both main characters.
Patients are dying left and right in the hospital and Jack wants Ashley to pose as his fake wife to ward off a scandal to improve his image. Things are heating up for the good doctor in more ways than one when his fake wife sees two pink lines and handling a killer creating havoc in the hospital. This story had me all caught up in it from start to finish.

A wonderful story, we are taken along in the lives of Ashley and Jack. There is an age difference story between them. Both have a backpack and struggle with their problems. But they have a chemistry and attraction that ensures that you are glued to their story. Their story reads smoothly. A beautiful age difference story and is definitely recommended to read.

Ashley has wanted Jack it seems like forever. But, Jack is her dad's best friend. Guess it was a good thing she went to school in California; far away from Jack.
But, when she's back to help Jack with his problem, Ashley is ready to pursue him once more! But, could it work? Could Dr. Wrong be Mr. Right?
And what's going on at Jack's hospital? Why are patients dying?
Enjoyed the pursuit of both a relationship as well as a culprit!

Jack and Ashley were complex characters, and their romance was an excellent addition to this medical mystery/romance. I found the plot to be well woven together to the point of keeping on the edge of my seat while reading. The surprising revelations really amplified an already entertaining read.

I loved this book just like all of this authors other books. It kept me guessing and on my toes the whole time. The book had lots of chemistry, spice, sexual tension, drama, suspense, love and a mystery about the passing of the patients. I didn’t want to put it down. Jack and Ashley had me waiting to see what happened next. I absolutely loved the ending.

Who's killing the parients...bummer, we were never told!!! I did enjoy the story of the two surgeons and all they went through to be a couple. I wished we were told exactly what happened with Sam and Barbra. Also, I wanted to know what brought on the change in the other intern? It was a quick read, even with all the medical jargon. I would have liked for them to have their baby too.
I like Sofia’s stories. This one is a good mix of a love story and a crime mystery, with a lot of troubles, turns and twists. I must say that in the beginning I disliked that Ashley act on her attraction to Jack, quite insistent. And she add more trouble for him, instead of lowering his load of problems. But in the end, all went so well….. and I liked Ash - a lot. I really enjoyed their story!.

Intrigued by the premise of this book, I went in with high hopes for this book, and it didn't disappoint. The book grabs your attention with the suspense of uncovering who our villain is going to be. Our characters are a bit broken, and both could use a good dose of therapy. Overall and enjoyable read.

An entertaining, age-gap romance story. Jack is the older alpha male, and Ashley is the woman that tames his heart. The story flows well, easy to read. The characters are fun and have great chemistry. A enjoyable read on a rainy cold afternoon to warm you up.
