One thing’s for certain—having the names Wright, Justice, Salvation, Might and Defeat sucks, big time. Not only does it make them the butt end of jokes, but it also sounds like something a romance writer with an overinflated ego would name the characters of their books.

Then again, subject 198′s children have little choice in any matters, let alone their names. Bred and born in a lab, they’re a mutation of shifter mixed with human. They are also the last secret the human government holds about the shifter world.

The last thing they need is for Wright to spot a certain Wolf halfling—one that is so cute, Wright doesn’t even notice that Wolf walks with a limp and has worse asthma issues than a nerd from an eighties movie. Finding a mate is something his owners have forbidden Wright from ever doing.

So just how does one go about leaving a branch of the government that doesn’t allow anybody to leave—that is unless they are in a body bag?

The author calls this a nibble, and she's right, it's more of a teaser to Wright and Braxton's story, and a portion of the proceeds will go to the ' Ruth Ellis Center '.

Braxton was introduced in Ervin's Dilemma, and in this story we meet Wright, the oldest of the half-breed shifter and his siblings, Justice, Salvation, Defeat and Might.
Defeat is the lone female and one tough kick-ass shifter.
The shifters and their history promises to be very interesting, I found out just enough to need to know more about them and what the future has in store for them.
They are on the run for the government lab they have managed to escape from.
They stop at a shifter bar to meet a contact, while waiting,Wright sees a young, small shifter sitting at the bar, he feels compelled to go over to him and within minutes he has him in a back room.
There he discovers not only is Braxton his mate, but also a half-breed like himself and sickly.
Braxton is understandably sensitive about his leg and asthma and isn't really sure why someone as hot as Wright wants anything to do with him.
Wright manages to seduce and insult Braxton before all hell breaks loose...
We only get Wright's POV in this one, but I've been following this series and already feel like I know Braxton a little.
This story really is a nibble, not even a snack, but it left me wanting to read their story, since this ends on a cliffhanger and I need to know how it ends for this couple.

Prequel to Braxton and Wright

Decent short story written so the book of Braxton and Wright have more of a backstory. Short and sweet. Can't wait to read the full book!

A short story and quick introduction to several new characters, we’re thrown into a new family of shifters, each half human, half some animal, no two alike in the group, but all sharing the one same parent (the mom I think). We get weird named fugitives and quickie in the back room of a sex club and we’re set up for the next book. We’ll see how that goes…

Gave it three stars, due to the fact as you're getting into the story it ends. The family dynamics is hard enough, without the sudden cliff hanger.

I love this woman. She is a soul mate, which leaves me totally incapable of rating her work. The end.

Just an intro to yet another set of new characters and the starting shot for what I presume will be the next romance.
