The sports action will appeal to older boys although 140 pages with no pictures will be more than many township children can handle. It is available in some African languages. Many of Themba's experiences with HIV are typical. I did think his sporting prowess was a bit hard to believe when he didn't start out particularly athletic, but, hey! it's fiction, and we all like our hero to be the best. I don't think that will bother boys who have the same dreams for themselves.
