The Last Riders #1

Razerova jízda

Rate this book

A on si svou chybu uvědomil příliš pozdě. Až vrah, který má v úmyslu ji zavraždit, přivede Beth zpět k Razerovi a k motorkářskému klubu Poslední jezdci, aby ji ochránil. Razer se možná poučil, ale tentokrát, dokud je v klubu, i ona musí hrát podle jejich pravidel.

TOP 5 CRINGE WORTHY SCENES IN Razer's Ride.

description

CRINGE #5: Beth & Razer’s 1st Date.

“I am just saying, act your age.”
“Oh how am I not acting my age?”
“Well for one, it wouldn’t take me a whole day to kiss someone not so uptight.”
“I am not uptight.”
“Prove it.”
“How?”
“Like this.”
He put her hand on his hot length, wrenched her jeans down, and slid his fingers under her panties. “You’re tight. I love a tight pussy.”

description

"Beth was almost drawn out of her sexual haze by his words.
“Wait.” Beth tried to get her raging hormones under control, but Razer maneuvered her until she was lying on his lap.
“It’s cool. Just let me play for awhile.” He pulled her towards his cock."

description

"Razer buried three fingers deep within her; she moaned as he built her towards an explosive climax. She tried to scream, but the hand buried in her hair forced her down on his spurting cock, “Swallow it all.” He kept his hand in her hair until his cock quit twitching."

PAUSE FOR SELF NOTE: BJs on 1st date = not uptight.

description

"Beth didn’t look at him as she jerked her clothes on.
“What’s the matter? Are you regretting what we just did?”
“Yes.” Beth was disgusted with herself. “I don’t know you very well.”
“I think you got to know me pretty well.” Razer laughed."

description

CRINGE #4: Beth & Razer’s 2nd Date.

“You said a party, not an orgy. I am not ready for this.”
“Beth, you said you partied in college?” Razer questioned.
“Yes, normal frat parties. This is like a frat party on steroids.”
“Come on. It’s not that bad.”
“It’s bad, real bad.” Beth said as she watched a pretty blond writhing in desire on Knox’s lap as he sucked on her bared breast.
“Beth, we are quite a bit older than college kids. I assumed when you said you had partied, that extended beyond college age.”

PAUSE FOR QUESTION: Since when does “I’ve partied” equate to “I’ve orgied?”

description

CRINGE #3: Beth Gets Dumped.

“Listen Beth, I think that we are on different wavelengths. I was willing to play your game, but woman you’re just too much work for a piece of pussy.”

PAUSE FOR EMPHASIS: “Too much work for a piece of pussy.”

description

CRINGE #2: Beth Gets Schooled by Sluts.

“To become a member you have to have sex with six of the members?”
Natasha shook her head. “No. Eight men, the original members that began the club. It’s about trust. Trust that the new members are loyal to the club. You find out a lot about a person when you have sex with them. It’s also hard to betray a person whose cock is your best friend.”

PAUSE FOR GAGGING.

description

CRINGE #1: Beth Gets Dumped AGAIN.

“Can I talk to you in private for a few minutes?” she asked Razer.
“No, let’s not make this hard Beth. It’s over.” His hand delved between Bliss’s thighs.
“Please Razer, I can…” pleading blue eyes stared into his emotionless ones.
“Listen bitch, I like variety in my pussy and I can see you are getting attached. I don’t want attachments; I want pussy. Offered you a safe place to stay; you don’t need it anymore. Now you go home and I get my room back.”
Razer stood and Bliss wrapped her legs around his waist. “Now excuse us, I am going to see if her pussy is as tight as yours when I popped your cherry.”

As much as I hated a lot of what went on in this book, I have to admit that it was kind of a guilty pleasure for me. I hate cheating, but because of that, I often love books that broach that topic. Why? Well, I guess it is because I love books that can make me feel. Nothing elicits more feelings than those topics that push my limits, infuriate me and even disgust me. I love it when a book rips my heart out and leaves me screaming at my Kindle. I guess I'm kind of a masochist that way.

That being said, there is a limit to how much debauchery can be crammed into one book. I love to experience the emotional devastation, right along with the characters. However, I cannot stand it when my feelings are cheapened by stupid characters that don't learn their lessons...or who forgive major wrongs like they were inconsequential.

This book was overflowing with cringe-worthy content. The main male character, Razer, was a total manwhore. It was amazing that his penis hadn't fallen off as the result of some nasty STD.

The same is true for virtually every member of his MC, "The Last Riders". I'm used to biker romances having plenty of trashy sexual descriptions, but this book really took the cake. "The Last Riders" seemed more like some sort of sex club for the completely uninhibited and shameless, than it did a biker club. Honestly, they were just disgusting.

On the other hand, the heroine, Beth, was just about as innocent as you could get. She had been raised under the watchful eye of her overbearing father, the town's Baptist minister. Beth had virtually no sexual experience as a virgin and spent her days being the town's resident "good girl".

When Razer meets Beth, he wants in her pants. While Beth is attracted to him, she is far more naive and has these "good girl meets bad boy" fantasies bouncing around in her empty skull. This girl refuses to face the facts...he's a douchebag!

Reading this book was kind of like watching a low-budget horror movie, in which Beth plays the too stupid to live bimbo that runs upstairs while you're screaming at her not to. You all know what I'm talking about! Time after time, she made these illogical decisions, choosing to put her blinders on and refusing to face reality.

As much as Razer infuriated me, so did Beth. The first time he humiliated her, I felt bad for her. After that, I had a hard time mustering up any sympathy. Yes, the guy did some abhorrent things, but she just kept allowing him to treat her that way.

After he publicly dumps her for the second time, I thought that she finally had grown a spine. For a few pages, she seemed to find some self-respect and distance herself from the jackass and her so-called friend, Evie.

I was just beginning to feel proud of her when she went and forgave them. Yep, you heard me right. She bought their BS story about how they did everything they did for her own good. Isn't that sweet? What girl doesn't need a guy that sleeps around with your closest friend, fondles other women in your face and belittles you in front of a room full of onlookers? With people like this looking out for you, who needs enemies!

If you want a snapshot of the storyline, just check out my updates. That pretty much outlines how this story goes. Let me tell you, it isn't pretty.

On top of all of that, the book had some major editing issues. Wrong/misused words, incorrect punctuation, incoherent sentences, etc. This author seriously needs to invest in some editing. It was atrocious.

This would have been a 2-star read for me if not for a few things. First, I am so curious about Shade and Lily. I want their story badly.

Secondly, even though I was largely repulsed by this story, I couldn't tear myself away. It was like a mass casualty accident. I couldn't stop staring at the gore, even though I knew I should turn away. Despite being offended by much of the content, it made me feel and held my attention. I was cussing at it, but I didn't put it down and that says something--maybe that I'm a glutton for punishment.

Lastly, I gave an entire star for the ladies from the "Destructors" MC. I loved those biker bitches! They made the entire second-half of the story worth reading. Just picturing them kicking everyone's ass and calling them out on their BS brings a smile to my face.

Overall, I give it 3-stars, with 1 star being just for the "Destructor" ladies. I will probably continue reading the series, because I'm dying to read Shade and Lily's story. However, this isn't a book that will appeal to the masses. It is crude, offensive and flat-out disgusting at times. You will be appalled and frustrated most of the time. Read at your own risk.

I would rather have hot coals stuffed up my ass than read ONE more second of this bullshit.

** For the record, I didn't read the blurb or any other reviews before reading this pile of donkey dung book because a lovely, precious friend (waves at my former friend BGurl) decided I clearly don't pick enough bad books on my own. 'Read it; it'll be fun,' she said.

description

Not that the author's warning of "strong sexual situations" and "multiple partners" even begins to describe the fuckfest orgy that is this book, but since I'm the idiot who didn't read the blurb, I will include the fuckfest in my review, but not weigh it in the rating, which is a zero even without it. #fairenough

Meet The Dickhead MMC

description

Don't you get all gooey inside when you meet an MMC graphically getting a blowjob in a parking lot by a waitress in front of the FMC ... Immediately followed by his junk being grabbed by another woman and then told M/F/M sex is about to happen.

description

Hardly.

I get it MClub dudes are the sluttiest of all manslut's, but dude has zero pickiness about where he sticks his stick and who sticks their stick in the same hole, at the same time, with the same lack of pussy discern.

Bad idea?

Meet The FMC

Getting to know each other...

"You think I'm called Shade because I wear sunglasses." Beth felt his body shake in laughter next to her. Beth was confused by their laughter. "Then why do you think they call me Razer?"

"Because you like to shave?" Beth answered noticing his cleanly shaven face.

description

Yeah, Beth is confused a lot through the book. Bless her heart.

The Writing

Beth surreptitiously looked at the biker Jenna had given the blowjob and saw no jealously.

I realize surreptitiously has 'tit' in it, but why the fuck would you put an ACT word in the same sentence as a biker's blowjob? CTFO.

"They frolicked and played for over an hour before getting out and lazily eating their lunch."

I haven't frolicked since I was 8-years-old; maybe that's why I've never lazily ate anything.

Razer : "Perhaps you ... "

Hold up. WTF kinda crude orgy biker named Razer says "perhaps?"

Ironically enough, the wording is the BEST part of the writing. I'm tempted to call the police to report punctuation has been murdered. I won't even get into the typos that are like flies buzzing on shit, and, no, self-pub can't even be blamed since this was published by Young Ink Press.

Laziness?

Say What?

Beth has an accounting degree. From a college. A degree. Like for accounting. You see?

Beth has a business. In accounting, you'd assume, right?

Uhm, no, you silly twits.

Beth balances check books for little old ladies in her small town. Also in her business portfolio is buying groceries, running errands, retrieving old drunks from bars, etc. She, of course, contracts out for yard work and heavy lifting requests.

description

Say What Take Two

"After adopting her (Lily,) Beth's parents had told everyone she was actually two years younger so she would not be so delayed in her own age group.... " "Lily was now a senior in high school with graduation a few months away. She had more than caught up developmentally and physically, but they decided to keep her age unknown. It had been their parent's decision; the school knew her true age. It was the community that was kept in the dark believing her to be seventeen."

description

Lily puts super models to shame, goes catatonic in the presence of alcohol, does not return her boy(friend's) romantic feelings, acts like a nun, and has to be the only 19-year-old on earth who doesn't want a smidgen of independence.

Now, ask me what the fuck it matters since Beth is the FMC?!?

Exactly!

Act Your Age Bitch

First date...

"Loosen up some. You act to {too} old for your age; probably working for all those old people you take care of doesn't help." "Are you insulting me or my job?" "Both. I am just saying act your age." "Oh how am I not acting my age?" "Well for one it wouldn't take me a whole day to kiss someone not so uptight." "I'm not uptight." "You are." "Am not" "Prove it." "How?" "Like this."

Yes, please don't act like a prudish 90-year-old... Instead, act like a naive 15-year-old so I can fuck you. Great plan.

description

Ge'ezus have mercy suddenly this dude just whips out his dick.

description

Five seconds later this damn church bell, 'darn it,' mousy chick is sucking his cock and getting fingered to his..

"You're tight. I love tight pussy."

description

She's seen him with two women in two days and she swallows his spunk.

description

I repeat: Swallows. The. Dirty. Manwhore. Spunk. After. Watching. A. Chick. Do. The. Same. Exact. Shit. Yesterday.

description

Seriously, am I supposed to be laughing and cringing at sex scenes?!?

Say What Take Three

Second date...

description

"You said a party, not an orgy and I can tell you I am not ready for this party." "Beth, you said you partied in college?"

Dude is a special kind of stupid if he thinks this..

description

...prepares one for gang bangs.

Anyway...

Razor , Razer, wtf his name is.. wants her to just ignore all the chicks getting gang banged and sucking cock and pretend it's just your everyday college party. Oh, and here meet this chick that I've fucked so she can be your new BFF.

What does Beth do?

description

Nope. She offers the chick she just saw screwing Razer a job at her elder-care , personal assistant, gofer, personal shopper, etc etc etc business because the chick is a nurse and has a masters in business and a minor in accounting.

description

And so it begins.

And So It Ends

He takes her home since it's not her scene.

She changes her mind about not wanting to screw him and goes back to the orgy party later in the night. She finds Razor and two other bikers screwing hell outta the chick she just hired and some other girl.

description

She runs. Maybe she has sense after all, huh?

His response..

"I was willing to play your game, but woman, you're just too much work for a piece of pussy."

Niceeee one, bro.

Two pages later..

"During the sermon, Beth paid particular attention to the Pastor. She had noticed before he was a handsome man with light brown hair....

description

One page later...

" I know you probably won't hire me now, but I really need the job."

description

Nope, good old Beth welcomes her to the gopher team.

Fast forward nine months and she's dating the preacher and for real BFF with Razor's orgy chick.

description

Say What Take ... The Last Straw

description

Turns out the preacher was saved by Razor and feels he owes him one weekend to get Beth before he marries her and makes her the preacher's wife.

description

I swear I can almost reach out and touch the special-stupid.

Done and done

Horrible grammar.

Typos out the ass.

The characters are basically every negative adjective combined with a curse word you can concoct.

Storyline? No, this shit is what would happen if the devil fell asleep in Santa's sleigh and had a wet dream while Rudolf licked his ass to the beat of a choir singing Amazing Grace.

I got something for ya, my lovey, BGurl..

If you like A HERO WHO TREATS WOMEN LIKE RECEPTACLES FOR SPERM,
then this is the book for you.

If you like A HERO WHO CALLS WOMEN WHO PREFER MONOGAMY "PRUDES",
then this is the book for you.

If you like A HERO WHO CHASTISES WOMEN FOR BLUSHING BECAUSE HE SOMEHOW PERCEIVES IT AS JUDGEMENT,
then this is the book for you. (Seriously? She BLUSHED, she didn't open a damned bible and start quoting scripture) *eye roll*.

If you like A HERO WHO TAKES WOMEN TO AN ORGY (without forewarning), PRESSURES THEM TO WATCH (if not participate), DUMPS THEM WHEN THEY WON'T, GETS CAUGHT DPing THEIR FUTURE EMPLOYEE, AND DOESN'T HAVE THE GRACE TO APOLOGIZE FOR ANY OF IT,
then this is the book for you.

If you like A HERO WHO FORCES WOMEN TO LIVE IN A HOUSE FULL OF WOMEN HE'S FUCKED, WHO BRAG ABOUT FUCKING HIM TO ANYONE WHO'LL LISTEN, WALK AROUND THE HOUSE WITH BARELY ANY CLOTHES ON, AND HAVE SEX IN FRONT OF EVERYONE, EVERYWHERE, EVERYDAY, ALL DAY LONG,
then this is the book for you.

If you like A HERO WHO DOESN'T GO TO THE HOSPITAL TO VISIT A WOMAN WHO WAS HURT BECAUSE OF HIM & HIS MC, THEN WHEN SHE GOES TO ASK HIM WHY, HE DUMPS HER IN FRONT OF THE WHOLE CLUB, AND BRAGS ABOUT HOW "TIGHT HER PUSSY WAS WHEN HE POPPED HER CHERRY",
then this is the book for you.

AND,

If you like A HERO WHO NEVER APOLOGIZES FOR BEING A SLUTTY, JUDGMENTAL, CHASTISING, SELFISH, INSENSITIVE, INCONSIDERATE, IMMATURE ASSHOLE...

THEN THIS IS THE BOOK FOR YOU!

By all means, enjoy!

RAZER IS THE SCUM OF THE EARTH. I HATE HIM. HE IS A PERVERTED DEGENERATE!

This book is a joke. The so called Hero is a sleazebag pig who never changes. The annoyingly weak & simple heroine just lets the Hero continue to be a manwhore. Pathetic.

I am repulsed that this is being written as a love story. Bullshit.'

This is about a group of sleazy dickheads who get off on having orgies with multiple women.

The H shows NO consideration or RESPECT for the h whatsoever. He continuously demeans and debases her through his disgusting ways.

You want a woman, you KEEP IT IN YOUR PANTS fuckface!

And it really pisses me off that Beth is a virtous woman for her whole life and then flip switch and she agrees to date the arsehole of all arseholes even as he tells her he's not a one pussy guy. So he's going to fuck around on her. REally??? So she becomes a slut willing to share a guy overnight after being a decent woman her whole life? Really???

And Razer big hypocrite that he is, expects Beth to accept all of their disgusting degrading ways immediately and not make "Evie" feel bad but he and the others mock her continuously for her beliefs. Bunch of arseholes.

They keep forcing her to try and become like them, FORCING her.

Anyone who actually enjoyed this crap has serious issues.

And FYI, I cannot stand that slut bitch Evie!

I did not like this at all. This book isn't at all what is advertised. You expect a good motorcycle club read. Instead you get a story about a lame sex club that happens to ride motorcycles. Of course they aren't outlaw bikers because that would be wrong...like I said, lame. Razor is a completely inconsiderate asshat, who never earns my respect. He is constantly smacked in the face with Beth's church girl innocence, but is always pushing her boundaries by being disrespectful and crass. Don't even get me started on her later revealed past abuse. That was so WTF, it at least earns points for originality. This heroine never feels like a real person. She is so goody-goody I keep expecting cartoon birds to follow her around or that she will burst out singing "A Spoonful Of Sugar" at any given moment.
This book would have annoyed me a lot less if it was presented as an erotic sex club romp. Throwing in motorcycle club trappings without the gritty biker culture, is like sex without foreplay. Someone might enjoy that, but not me.

This book was horrible... I only got about third of the way in and I just couldn't anymore. It was all over the place: point-of-view was changing from sentence to sentence making it super confusing, the story did not flow AT ALL, and the character's attitudes and actions and such were just really not believable.

For a first time author, I think it was an okay start, and I would give it like 2 or 3 stars, but goodreads is not a site just for self-publishing, never written before authors. I don't understand how people are giving it 4 or 5 star reviews... those should be saved for books that are world famous and are actually amazing, stimulating reads that people can relate to and understand. The fact that this book would be held in the same ranks as some of those books is bewildering to me... this book does not even compare.

I'm really not trying to be mean here, I'm just trying to be honest. It's frustrating to come across a book on this website that has all these five star reviews, so I pay money for it, just to have it be something like this. I want to warn people to not expect some great literature or even a great book when they buy this! I wish someone had warned me! Maybe the people that gave it such great reviews got it for free? Then I would understand that they aren't upset that they wasted their money.

Sorry if I'm offending anyone; not all first-time, self-published books are bad, some are even well written and deserve a five star review! (Think 50 Shades of Grey) This is just not one of those books.

For the author's next book, I would recommend picking one point of view and sticking with it, try to have more relatable characters with thoughts that are understandable, and to have sentences and paragraphs that flow with one another, not jumping all over the place.

This seemed more like a sex club than an MC club.

The whole casual way they just shared women openly within the club may have bothered me more than I would have liked . It was a straight up orgy fest.

Then there was the whole fact that the characters just seemed unbelievable. For instance, Beth’s portrayal of being a virginal pastor’s daughter and her actions were totally contradictory.

And for as for Razer …

There’s seems to be a fine line between being an alpha man and a total douche bag. Razer totally crossed that line early on in the book. It probably wouldn’t have bothered me as much had this story been told solely from Beth’s POV but since we to get to read Razer’s POV – well, let’s just say it just itinerates how much of a jerk he is. Don’t even get me started at what happened at the hospital.

Razer needs a lesson from one of the biker’s from the Destructors. He said it best with ”…My bitch would cut my balls off in my sleep if I touched another bitch.”

I doubt I’ll read any of the other books in this series besides Shade. Lily & Shade’s past has me quite intrigued.i

“We are a motorcycle club that enjoys sexual freedom”

description

Well this book is definitely fast paced and I did enjoy the ride for the most part. The book did have a couple of errors but I thought the author did a good job with the book.

This biker gang was basically a sex group with motorcycles more than a hardcore biker group. Readers know how I love my bikers gangs but I found this group offensive to my ideal biker groups. Priority wise it was sex, their “secret” business and then the bikes and the club, etc.

Truth be told another biker from a different club said it best:

“How you manage that man, my bitch would cut my balls off in my sleep, if I touched an¬oth¬er bitch.”

Story wise, Beth Cornett was a very likable main character. She is caring for her teen sister while playing caregiver to her community. Razer catches her eye and vice versa.

”Not old-fashioned, sweet. But Beth, I have to be honest, my dick doesn’t have a woman’s name on it and it won’t ever. I like sex and enjoy a variety of partners.”

Razer and Beth have chemistry but Razer is…a manwhore and he wrecks it.

There’s the club secret business and missing business partner, the mysterious cut brakes on Beth’s car and the story keeps a fast pace of excitement.

There are a lot of characters in this story which I liked Ton, Pastor Dean, Sheriff, Mrs. Langley and of course those girls from the other biker club!

This book was not a cliffhanger and a reader gets an hea when Razer figures out what a SPECIAL woman Beth is.

”You can drink all the beer you want, but if it is water you want, nothing will quench your thirst.”~ Pastor Dean

Other than the orgy of a biker club, Beth being hurt, the use of “Kitten” as a nickname in yet another book I’ve read, this was a decent read.

Could have been great but the execution just wasn't up to par. This had a lot of potential but it fizzled out somewhere.

This book is badly in need of an editor to ferret out glaring mistakes throughout the book. The typos and grammatical errors are just too many to ignore. There were times where I had to reread a sentence or paragraph twice or thrice in order to understand what the characters were trying to say. It was just a mess, which was a crying shame because I really liked the story. The errors were just too huge to ignore and frankly, it affected the whole vibe of the book.

I hope the next book gets better though editing wise.

This is my second attempt to read something that is beyond outside my reading box – ménage. Though, it wasn't what I expected considering the ménage part was downplayed or toned down. I’m happy, and at the same time, pissed that I’ve given my entire day between reading this novel, busying myself to dodge reading it, and suppressing myself to post further updates that can legally sue me of libel or oral defamation. :D

This is also the first time I fell asleep – three times – while reading an MC novel.

I’m insomniac.

This biker novel is different from the other MC novels I’ve read. It’s different because it shattered my perception about what lies beneath the biker world. I know they do crazy stuff. But the most distinguished quality of a motorcycle club is true brotherhood. Not brotherhood of orgy and voyeurism.

Just to summarize; Beth, as describe in the book, is a timid, pious, daughter of a former pastor, twenty-something virgin.

I’d say she’s a hypocrite.

She may be forced to be that way because of her father, telling herself she’s just being responsible for her adopted sister, setting herself as a good example for Lily and to the flock her father used to minister – but what about her responsibility towards herself? I’m not saying she’s not normal. What I’m saying is she’s TOO normal to be abnormal. Besides, not being you just to please everyone? Pushover. Totally not my scene.

Razer (cool name, by the way), is the epitome of a selfish, scheming, tasteless man-whore. He is definitely not a book boyfriend. Unless your book boyfriend barometer is someone who takes women to an orgy and forced them to participate. Or roughly tells you this:

“I think that we’re on different wavelengths. Sam told me you’ve been with several guys from town. You yourself told me you partied in college. I thought you knew the score. I was willing to play your game, but woman, you’re just too much work for a piece of pussy.”

I wish I could spit, slap and kick this fucker. Then, I’d like to skin his cock and fry his balls. And then, I’d serve it to him with garnishes on the side.

He’s also one of the eight original members of The Last Riders. And as a founder, it holds preposterous and sexist power over women. That means, his mere presence is highly relevant for a bitch to be a full member of the MC.

One of the ridiculous rules of the club is that in order to change a bitch's status quo from probate to full member, she has to have at least six counts of vote from these male bikers. That vote can be earned by way of sex – whether normal sex, ménage, or orgies.

I may not be a full-fledged feminist, but even if it’s consensual, seeing a woman being thrown in a lair full of voracious men only to be devoured like a piece of meat is totally frowned upon for me. Not to mention, that shit will rile up feminists all over the world.

Another thing was the silent manipulation and peer pressure of these biker whores. Beth let herself be manipulated and pressured by these bitches, especially Evie (who calls herself as Beth’s best friend), so that she could be able to understand the lifestyle of the club.

What. A. Fucking. Joke.

You don’t define your lifestyle by shadowing what’s underneath, then highlighting what’s only at the surface. You live up to your lifestyle because you sincerely want it and you realize that’s who you are. You don’t force someone you call yourself a friend to understand that lifestyle or to even suggest giving it a try just to have a threesome. Gah!

As for the writing style, I’m no beta reader, but sentence construction was clearly messed up not to be missed. It needed a lot of proofreading. Plot twists were too many the executions resulted to vagueness of the story. It left you with unfocused and unbalanced scenes. Character development was weak you’d be confused to the point where even POVs keep alternating in one scenario.

This is contemporary erotic romance. And my recommendation:

I checked out the next book in this series. It’s Viper and Winter’s story. If I recall, Viper is the club president who had sex with one of the probate in order to gain the last vote.

Another man-whore. Boy was I excited to read it.

Note to self:
If the majority of your friends suggest a book for you to read, READ IT. Do not be a stubborn bitch looking for something else to read.

WARNING: I want to make it crystal clear that the following comments are my own personal opinions. I am not telling anyone what to think about this book series or the characters in it. I am not judging people for enjoying or not enjoying this series or characters. I am not judging people's opinions of this series or characters. And I am not going to lecture people, call people names, or chastise people who have opinions about this series or characters that differ from my own. I say this because some fans of this series are fond of calling people "HATERS" and like to chastise people for expressing an opinion they disagree with. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion and I'm entitled to mine.

When I read an erotic story where two or more people have a mutual sexual attraction and their numerous and varied sexual romps dominate the majority of the storyline ~

The line I draw between acceptable sex and unacceptable sex is determined by consent.

In the case of "Razer's Ride, Last Riders Book #1", by Jamie Begley, I can't help but question whether or not the heroine actually consented to any of the things the hero subjected her to, much less the sex acts.

Most of the sex scenes in this book fell into two basic categories:

Category 1: Sure, there was consent, but was it freely given? Or was it sexual extortion?

EXAMPLE: Razer wants to have casual sex with Beth and have her participate in his club's Friday night sexual free for all, but he suspects her limited sexual preferences or her moral code will prevent him from getting what he wants, so he chooses to "let Beth make the decision", but not really.

In their first sexual encounter, Razer wants a hummer, but instead of asking Beth to give him one, he implies that she's a prudish old lady then abruptly pushes her head into his lap and forces his dick into her mouth.

In their second sexual encounter, Razer takes Beth to a club party without telling her that everyone always has sex with everyone else all over the house, even in the public areas, or that he expects her to watch and participate.

In both instances, Beth can technically refuse, but saying "no" will be awkward for the socially inexperienced woman and she's too polite to risk making a scene which will be embarrassing for her and possibly insulting to Razer and his MC.

End result: Razer uses shame, surprise, force and secrecy to extort Beth into sexual situations she's unprepared for and ill equipped to handle.

Category 2: The plot would have you think consent was granted — but was it, really?

Razer and his friends manipulate Beth into watching and participating in sex acts by using the "it's cool" approach and inferring that people who aren't sexually free are sniveling misfits and losers.

This very effective form of peer pressure is most commonly used to persuade innocent adolescents and insecure teenagers that drinking and sex will make them "fit in" with the popular crowd. Though I've never seen it employed on adults, fictional or otherwise. Probably because most real life adults are familiar with juvenile social manipulations and require more sophisticated methods of persuasion.

Not so, the adults in Treepoint, Kentucky. Apparently, everyone who lives there has the mental maturity of 8 to 17 year olds, because they all fell for the "sexual promiscuity is cool" line and are afraid of being called "narrow minded prudes" and "killjoys" if they don't let the Last Riders "play" with them.

Beth (who is a virgin with very limited dating and partying experience, and a gentle souled, people pleaser) is particularly susceptible to the "it's cool" approach. She reluctantly agrees to give Razer what he wants, not because she knows exactly what she's getting into and can't wait to participate, or because she enjoys sexual promiscuity, or because she thinks it might be interesting to push the limits of her own sexuality.

No.

Beth gives in to Razer because she's afraid he will lose interest in her if she doesn't and she desperately wants to be liked by him and his friends.

Which leads me back to the question:
The plot of "Razer's Ride" would have you think consent was granted — but was it, really?

Was Beth's participation really based on free will? Or would she have stayed away from the club all together if Razer hadn't hidden the club's sexually free lifestyle from her and manipulated her with peer pressure? And, did Beth agree to Razer's sexual advances and the club's sexual activities for the right reasons?

You to decide.

This series has been on my TBR list for a long time and since I love biker/MC books, I figured I would finally give it a go. I should have paid more attention to the reviews though, because this book was definitely NOT for me.... I should never have started it....

Afbeeldingsresultaat voor just horrible gif

I love my MC books a bit rowdy, but that's not what this was. I wouldn't even call them a Motorcycle-club....more like a freaking "sex-club". Now Don't get me wrong..I absolutely love my "smex" and "steam" but I also love it when it comes with some mutual respect, which I found disturbingly lacking in this book !! The men really didn't give a rat's ass about the women ...just about getting off as many times as possible with as many women ass possible...

Afbeeldingsresultaat voor you disgust me gif

And don't even get me started on the heroine....she went from a freaking poster girl for church to a sex-kitten.... I mean are you for real ???? The hero treated her like shit, cheated on her and showed her zero fucking respect and she still stayed with him ??? Can someone say DOORMAT !!!!!

Afbeeldingsresultaat voor have some self respect gif

I really wanted to like this series and I was especially curious about Lily and Shade's book, but I really can't read stuff like this. It makes me want to break my kindle...I have checked the reviews for the next books and they are pretty bad, so yeah....I am OUT

GOOD OLD FASHIONED POLYGAMOUS CULT ROMANCE

If you love HBO’s “Big Love” and TLC’s “Sister Wives”, you’re going to love Jamie Begley’s “Last Riders” Motorcycle Cult series.

description

BRIEF STORY SYNOPSIS:

ELDER-WHORE RAZER is a young, polygamous motorcycle cult member sent to Treepoint, Kentucky on a mission to convert innocent, virginal women to the Polygamous lifestyle and bring them back to the MC to live in harmony with the rest of the Elder-Whores and Sister-Sluts.

description

BETH CORNETT is one of the innocent, virginal women who Elder-Whore Razer tries to charm into joining his polygamous MC with sweet talk like this:

“You’re tight. I love a tight pussy.”

and,

“Listen bitch, I like variety in my pussy.”

And my personal favorite,

“Excuse us, I am going to see if her pussy is as tight as yours when I popped your cherry.”

Oh Razer…
description

BETH, of course, ends up falling for Elder-Whore Razer’s silver tongued prose. Really, who can blame her? With flattery like that, what girl wouldn’t? And, lives happily ever after in the polygamous MC...

WITH ALL OF THE ELDER-WHORES.
description
From Left to Right: Elder Douchebag-baggins, Elder Dumbass, Elder Smalldick, Elder Pussyboy, Elder Cheats-a-Lot, Elder McNonCon, Elder Razer, and Elder YessirMayIHaveAnother.

AND THE SEVEN SISTER-SLUTS.
description
From Left to Right: Bitchy, Dopey, Tacky, Man-Stealer, Backstabber, and Syphilis and Gonorrhea (The twins).

FINAL RATING: “RAZER’S RIDE” - 1 (Way Too Weird For Me) Star.

There are some books that are great and some that are train wrecks. This one fell in the latter category and was lucky to get the one star I gave it.
I read this author’s book Riot a few days ago and thought it was awesome – 4 stars and I read it in one sitting. Thinking I had found a great new author I got the first book in her biker series and eagerly started it.
This is what I learned; a tenth book is infinitely superior to a debut one.
This was really awful to read. My number one complaint was the dialogue. You won’t find anything else more wooden and stilted than the conversations in this novel. This book is contraction free. I think the author had a thing against them because she uses a handful where she should have used bucket loads.
I understand formal writing and contractions don’t really work well together but this is fiction! Even more so, its motorcycle club fiction. Find me one bikie on this planet who says “I would like to take you on my bike but I do not have the time. I am late.” – or something along those lines. We don’t say I am or I will – we say I’m and I’ll when we speak. We contract all the time so the dialogue should reflect how real people speak. This sounded like a bunch of robots speaking and I found it exceedingly hard to overlook. I have no idea if this was a way of increasing word count but the padding here only took away from the story.
In total counterpoint to the overly polite phrasing was the revolting actions of the MC dudes. I know they are badasses in general – Joanna Wyldes’s Reaper boys are no wussy guys but they still have plenty of redeeming qualities – but this Razer dude was just a pig. He asks Beth out for a ride on his bike and within one page has her naked and sucking on his dick. As she goes to get up, having thought better of her public display of cock sucking, he holds her head down and tells her to ‘swallow it all down’.
Screw that! Not cool dude! Not cool!
Date number two is at his club with sex freely flowing. Beth comes home after not being ready for public sex and worries about the implications – “She didn’t want him to turn to another woman because she had been too chicken to sleep with him.” (I hear women the world over groan in unison). Unable to deal with that she gets back in the car to go back to the party only to find him in a three way. Total catch! Funnily enough his response to her walking in was “I am sorry that you walked into that” – again with the contraction aversion! Sheesh!
The book goes on in an endless circle of sex parties / sex in public / group sex yada yada yada. I stopped reading those bits – only so many tight pussies I can hear about in one day.
So here I sit at the end of this first book with a further 8 to read in the series. Do I want to know what happens? Not sure. A friend of mine has assured me that things rapidly improve by book four. My fingers are crossed because Riot really was a great novel and maybe the author was just finding her feet. I’m going to give her the benefit of the doubt and hope for much better things.
My advice to her would be to go back and edit the earlier novels to within an inch of their lives. Then she should smack Razer around the head a few times and get him to act like a real man – not the belligerent pig he mostly was.

HOT DAMN!!!! If you like books on MC (Motorcycle) Clubs, then i GUARANTEE that you will like this story too!!! AGAIN, i bought this book on a whim from an unknown author and i was blown away by the story!! SURE there were a few editing errors/typos/etc... BUT i still managed to totally LOVE this story about Razer and Beth!!!

What made THIS story/author different in my opinion, was that i felt that the story/writing started out weak BUT it actually got better further into the book!!!

This is NOT my REAL review as i have to go to work in 5 minutes and i DON'T have time to type a proper one out now BUT i will do so when i get back later!

PS. I SURE HOPE that you continue the series Ms. Begley, because i can tell you that i am DYING to read about Shades and Lily next... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE???!!!

this is most definitely not the series for me. !!!!
that's all.
i can handle many things ,, even disturbing things in an erotic novel... !!
but what i cannot handle is the fact, that the guy who feels something strong for a girl is equally inclined towards sharing her.
MC books have a way about them that i am familiar about, but this ain't a book i enjoyed or even understood.
the club really is more like ughhh...
unspeakable.
not an advocate of sharing or.. or free-for-all fests. i am repelled.
really there are some limits to being a man whore.
but the male characters cross them all. won't even give one star if i cud. n the sister code which i believe in..
u never f*** a guy who your friend is crushing on.
author let me down,. !!!!
GUD byE,
AND RAZER MOST DEFINITELY WAS NOT AN ALPHA MALE. !!!!!!!!!!
NO POSESSIVE STREAK.!!!
HE WAS NOTHING BUT AN ASSHOLE . !!!

DNF @ 63%. I just couldn't stand it anymore.

The hero was a jackass. He was rude and treated women like toilet paper. All he ever thought about was sex. I don't mean he had sex a lot (though he did, with anything that had a pulse). I mean he literally never looked at a woman without thinking of her in a sexual way. Never. Not once. It was like women weren't even people to him, merely objects to get off in.

He also (weirdly) assumed all women are okay with casual hook-ups, blowjobs on a first date, attending sex parties, voyeurism, and public sex. So, without asking, the hero subjected the heroine to all 5 situations. He didn't even notice her obvious shock, embarrassment, and confusion, he just kept steamrolling her into doing things that came across as awkward and skeevy rather than arousing.

Turns out the heroine was a virgin, a pastors daughter, and a regular church goer. So, of course, she was overwhelmed by the things he sprung on her. The hero would have known that had he bothered to ask, but he was far too busy deciding which hole to violate first. I was surprised he knew her name. All the women in the MC have sexual nicknames (Bliss, etc.) so it's a wonder he didn't christen her "girl I want to nail" and call it a day.

Just thinking about this jackass makes me want to take a long, hot shower with lots of soap and a heavy duty scouring brush.

At 63% I had to know if this jackass would ever have a come-to-jesus moment, so I started reading the reviews. From what I gathered, he goes from bad to worse. Apparently he does something really awful to the heroine in the end. I didn't wait around to find out what it was though. If I thought he might redeem himself even a little, I would have stuck it out. He doesn't, so I had no reason to torture myself any further.

I agree with one of the reviewers this book was interesting but not great it had a good storyline but the heroine for me was too much of a doormat. Helloooo but she is meant to be such an innocent but the way she was with Razer and his clubs sexual ways was just too much, throughout the book I never really felt Razer's feelings for the heroine it all seemed to be from her side! Razer took over this book so much so that I honestly can't even remember the heroine's name right now, she took him back too easily and was way too accepting of his bevaviour. I will read the next one but I hope the next female lead shows a little more pride and backbone otherwise I will not read anymore books by this author!!!

3 ⭐⭐⭐ - OK decent reads

UPDATE: Re-read 18-19 January 2021

UPDATE: Re-read 4-5 july 2017

Motorcycle Club or sex club?
And loyalty with the friends of the club where is it? The heroine doesn't deserve at least that?
I like the theme of the book, but had difficulty accepting some attitudes of the hero ... He is an asshole!
But overall the book is good!
----------------
==>First Date: She is shy and repressed... O.o
"Beth slowly moved her hands on his cock,"
"sliding the panties out of the way so his long finger could slide deep within her. His teeth bit her nipple,"
“Swallow it all.”

==>She is educated and supposedly intelligent...
"have a nursing degree also. I worked and got my masters in business with a minor in accounting."

==>He made out with Beth and then fuck the bitches in the Club...
"Razer was in bed with Evie lying on top, his large cock buried in her pussy while Train fucked her from behind, pinning Evie between their thrusting bodies. Even Knox was in there, sitting on the chair by the rocking bed with his fist pumping his hard dick."
"Even last week, after he had left her with the taste of him, he had come back here to fuck Sam."

==> He's no Prince charming:
"but woman, you’re just too much work for a piece of pussy.”
"Beth, I have to be honest, my dick doesn’t have a woman’s name on it and it won’t ever. I like sex and enjoy a variety of partners. I practice safe sex and the others in the house do, too; it’s a hard rule."

==> She feeling pretty special, but she doesn't know that his road name says it all.
"Beth froze in place as he continued to shave her, moving her leg higher until he could even slide the Razer around the sides of her plump lips."
“Don’t tell me Razer hasn’t showed off his special skill with that razor of his. He keeps all the girls nice and neat. Buys special lotions for just that purpose; he’s an expert at it, he never nicks the flesh. He always does it before he goes down on you.”

==> None of them cares about her feelings. In my book that's not friendship.
"She was going to find out why no one had come by the hospital to check on her, why no one had even called."
"Walking into the house she saw Razer immediately, Bliss was sitting on his lap with a black pair of leather shorts and a black vest completely open baring her breasts. Razer was sitting and playing with her nipple."
“Hi, Razer, Evie. I thought I would stop by and see if everyone was all right. I’d hoped you would come by the hospital to see me.” Beth’s voice was hesitant as she deliberately kept her eyes on Razer’s face while his hands stroked Bliss’s breasts."
“Listen, bitch, I don’t know how much more blunt I have to be, but here goes. We had fun, but I don’t want or need a permanent roommate. I like variety in my pussy, and I can see by the way you look at me that you’re getting too attached."
“Now, if you’ll excuse us, I’m going to my room to see if her pussy is as tight as yours was when I popped your cherry.”

==>Liar liar pants on fire...
"You are incapable of giving me the relationship I need to be happy, which involves trust, fidelity and love. Even if you swore to do all three, I would never, ever believe in you again.”

==> In my book this is friendship. They are awesome!
“So instead, you betrayed Beth. She’s not club, so she didn’t matter,” Killyama threw the explanation back in Evie’s face."
"Those women stood up for you when we didn’t."

==> Dumb shit: O.o
"touched Bliss that day, but I did it to put on a show for Memphis and to drive you away. She came, but I wasn’t even hard."

Sucked me in however I have huge issues with....

I really, really don't like the club orgy/sharing/voyeur stuff... and I find the hero's coercive behaviour (and the subtle threat of my way or the highway) to get the heroine involved really creepy.

The guys still having this deep seeded need and desire to 1) still REGULARLY watch other women have sex - other women that they've previously had sex with themselves and women who are the women the other guys are in love with (ewww - watching that is just creepy), and 2) having other men watch the women they supposedly love have sex with them and even join in sometimes, even after falling in love with and committing to these heroines, was a HUGE, ENORMOUS slap in the face of those heroines - it's basically saying "YOU'RE NOT ENOUGH for me". Plus it doesn't have perhaps the "safety" of porn - knowing the heroes are watching it with the impersonality, the distance and disconnect of seeing strangers do it on video - it's live and right in their faces and very very personal, specially when for the heroines it's women they know their "heroes" have previously been with - and who still want to be with their men (and it's other new women who if not for the heroines being there, the "heroes" would be hoping to be doing more with than just watching)... so it's also an added continual reminder of that shoved in their faces. And it's also men watching them, sometimes more than just watching, probably hoping for more, stuff most of them don't really want but the men they love want it and that love is being taken advantage of and they're coerced into giving in to it... Which all makes it really creepy and sad and hurtful and inconsiderate and selfish.

My reviews of Shade's Fall and Lucky's Choice give a more detailed opinion on this series.

Well fuck me silly. What a pleasant surprise. Finished this thru one sitting.

I must admit I've been in a HUGE book funk. Nothing was grabbing my attention. Nothing was "calling" to me. I continued reading but don't ask me what I read or what the story was about. Nothing was memorable. I was on my Kindle Fire and was looking at the ads they have at the bottom which I'm thankful for cause it brought me to this book. Now ever since I got into Madeline Sheehan, Kristen Ashley and Joanna Wylde's MC worlds, I've been a sucker for MC books. The others I've read have been a joke that were a huge disappointment for me. Not naming those authors. Figure those out for yourself. Anyways why are you asking yourself why I'm telling you this? I'll tell ya. This book helped pulled me out of my funk. FINALLY!! And this is a good MC book. Not that it's not without flaws(some grammar errors, kinda cliche, kinda cheesy, kinda over the top) but I overlooked them cause it kept my attention, kept me entertained and I got sucked into this world. I shit you not. I read this starting at 7ish pm and finished around 1ish am. It got me. On to the story...

Beth is an orphaned preachers daughter who had a rough time growing up due to her parents. They were big bible thumping idiots. (Take no offense, when you read on as to why then you'll be in agreement with me). She's a very responsible hard worker, a very forgiving person and she doesn't have no mean bone to her body. Sometimes you wanted her to lash out(believe me, there were plenty of those). Beth also has an adopted sister by the name of Lily. We get that Lily has some issues due to her childhood but nothing is revealed in this story. Hopefully her story will get told.

Razer is one of the members to The Last Riders motorcylce club. He is ex military along with fellow members of the club. They've set up shop in Beth's hometown, not wrecking havoc but just having fun and doing other stuff secretly. Razer is Y to the Yummy but he can be an asshole, jerk, douche, idiot; take your pic. You'll see why once you get into the story. The things he says and does makes you want to punch him in the throat and junk. Plus he's a man whore and this gets him into trouble.

"I was willing to play your game, but woman, you're just too much work for a piece of pussy." <---Me, oh you #$%^&**&^^$#@@#!!!

Razer and Beth's relationship in the beginning did not go well. *See above comments* It takes someone else to give him a second chance with her. Beth may be gullable but she doesn't put up with people hurting her. When she decides to give him another go, it's much easier. Communication is the key. Along with the girl members of the MC. They help Beth understand the way of their life even if it's shocking to her sheltered life. Things progress with them and they have a steamy romance with lots of bang banging that blooms then welters due to certain circumstances and the decision of the club. Beth is really devastated by these decisions. I felt bad for the chica. Oh but it doesn't end there my friends. They have a HEA but not without Beth giving her two pennies.

Let's get to the members of The Last Riders. All of em. All of em sluts. They love the sex. They love orgies. They're voyeurs. They love to fuck... a lot. Anywhere and everywhere. And guess what? It's hot. Not too much description with them but you get the idea. And isn't your imagination a wonderful thing? Now there is a scene where Razer and Beth are exploring each other at a party with fellow members and Razer is telling her while playing with her on how the girls got their names. Stori. Evie. Ember. Jewell, Bliss, Dawn and Natasha who hasn't been nicknamed yet. Read the book and you'll see why. It should have been offensive but somehow it was hot. There's always a bitch in the bunch and she goes by the name of Sam who you will not like cause of the things she does and says to Beth. The guys have nicknames as well. Razer, I didn't get until I did a reread and I was like OHHHHH. There's Shade(who's somewhat mysterious), Viper, Rider, Cash, Knox, Memphis, Crash. I can't wait to read more of these mofo's. I truly did enjoy this story and I hope y'all do too.

I'll leave with one of my favorite naughty bit from Razer when he wasn't being an asshole...

"I can see all my kitty's cream this way. That tight little pussy stretching to take my cock."

I got to 36% with this book and by that time I had already been tempted to put it down at least 8 times.

This is where I finally just had enough:

“I can’t handle a man going from woman to woman," Beth stated. “Sex has to mean something to me," Beth confessed. “I know it’s old fashioned.”

“Not old-fashioned, sweet. But Beth, I have to be honest, my dick doesn’t have a woman’s name on it and it won’t ever. I like sex and enjoy a variety of partners. I practice safe sex and the others in the house do too, it’s a hard rule. Anyone caught not doing so leaves the club. On the other hand, I can understand and respect your views on sex. Can’t you do the same? I am not asking you to have sex tonight or introduce you to a threesome," he teased at her shocked expression. “But we could see where this attraction goes, maybe draw closer and have a little fun or be able to move on with it out of our systems."

RIDICULOUS. The entire book (well, up to 36%) was entirely stupid. It had no depth. Beth was an annoying, religious, good-two-shoes with a massive lack of character and integrity. And I won't even start on Razer, the 1st prize winner of Man-Whore-Of-The-Ages. Yuck.

I guess I just expected more from this book but unforunately I found it lacking in everything from writing to content.

Honestly, I hated it. WFH?? I love, I mean LOVE, MC books, but that was AWFUL. I gave it a star just because I read it.

First, there was Beth. Raised by the town's pastor who tortured her and her foster sis. But she was sweet, innocent, shy and mistrustful. Her job was to help elderly people in town.

Then there was Razer. A man-whore. He was so f*cking disrespectful, I could threw the book through the window. The way he treated her...

I don't even know when Beth fall for him, because I did not understand the whole thing. How could she love him? He cheated on her, than crawled back to her. He didn't care about her wishes or feelings. He was an asshole, real and true.

Read Bgurls review again 3/18 and downgraded, lol. I'm hoping that the author actually had more to the scenes in her head than actually got put down on paper bc, man, this heroine came off as the biggest doormat that has ever lived in a biker book.

What they did to her pisses me off, but how they weren't repentant (uptight word, I know, but this whole book made me uptight) enough and she just forgave them really ticked me off. If the writing had been better I'd have given it a little higher rating.
