"You know not of King Bersek, Lord of Berserkers... The Berserkers are men of darkness; heartless and unyielding. They know no fear, they know no pain – and the sound of them ripping and slashing and tearing people apart by their chaos incarnate."
One year after triumphing over the events surrounding the cursed Blackthorn Dagger, Queen Erica 'Dagger Heart' receives an ominous warning from a group of survivors that arrives in her village of Nornö an army like no other, steeped in dark necromancy, heads for her Norwegian shores. With the winter solstice quickly approaching and no sign of the black wolf that used to roam the woods of her lands, she races against time to uncover the mystery of The Necromancer, as well as the absence of her dear friend and love, Finn.
Wow, Thank you Ronnell for contacting me to review this book. I was so excited when I first found out there would be a second book in this series and that I would be able to review it, of course when I came across the information of a tour being put together I decided to hold off on posting my review so that I could post it with the tour.
Again we find Erica against the odds and maneuvering around the obstacles in her path, I always really found Erica to be such a strong female, independent also in a way, I really enjoyed this about her character. Ronnell has me in a reading frenzy where I just couldn't find myself able to tear away from the book. I do hope that for those of you who have not read or even heard of this series, will go pick up a copy for youself, these stories he has written are unique in themselves and really worth the read. Filled with adventurous obstacles and of course love these books were written for those who enjoy young adult/ mature young adult and enjoy fantasy.
I love this book! I couldn't put it down. The bond of love these two share is remarkable, what they have endured to stay together, the enemy's who split them apart, I can't believe they are separated again. But I for one believe in Finn, he will over come Hel and everything that comes between him and getting his love back. I gave 5 stars for the great characters an plot of this book. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves books of passion, mythological creatures, or mystical Gods. I fell in love with the characters from this book and know you will too! I can't wait to start the next book in the Odin Blood Series!!!! Donnell D. Porter, my thanks to you for such a great read, and many more to come :)
This is the second book in the Odin series. I have to say each book has been enjoyable. Lots of action and little twists. This series would be a good read for teens. I like how Folkvar had a bigger role. Looking forward to the third book. Easy read.
I have to say that the cover of this book is beautiful.
This series takes place during the Viking era. The main character is Erica. She is an orphan girl but soon we find out she is much more. The story shows her growth and strength. I don't want to give anything away so I will stop here.
With a little careful editing, this book could be perfect!
A breath of fresh air in the paranormal genre. Ronnell D. Porter has created an interesting, believable setting and a charming young heroine. I've enjoyed watching Erica grow and look forward to reading about her continued adventures. Because I know there's more to come, right Ronnell?
Overall I enjoyed reading this story. There were some elements that I questioned about consistency in the storyline but it was a pleasant read and I won't take anything from that. I do like the author's writing style and that makes the story all the more enjoyable. He is very talented in how he describes things. I hope that the next book in the series comes out soon before I forget what I read.
