Cordelia Tanner has a fabulous life of fun, frolics, and footwear with her adorable twin brother Rex and their best friend, the dazzling Elodie l’Archambeau. When Cordelia and Rex invent Footloose, an ingenious holographic technology that gives the illusion of a person being shod in fantastical shoe designs when underneath they have on their comfy slippers it leads to a meltdown in the real shoe industry and so the bombastic, vengeful footwear mogul Richard Nailer tries to destroy the culprits. Will the dastardly Nailer succeed in his scheming or will Cordelia triumph?

Fortunately, Cordelia can periodically escape all the shenanigans because of an extraordinary extra-sensory ability she calls psychomatricks which permits her to witness episodes in a person’s life by holding a piece of their property – very useful when applied to her collection of shoes once owned by luminaries of history. When she discovers the enigmatic Elodie has the ability too they miraculously enter historic realms for adventures galore.

This is a funny feel good book with a strong female protagonist set in contemporary London, USA, and Europe in a story about a glamorous family, friendship, jollity and a sprinkling of magic leading to a happy ending.

Sole If The Shoe Fits’ is the first in the Sole Brethren series. It is a novel for fans of funny friendship books. Anyone who enjoys imaginative pacy stories with a sense of place and loveable characters in a distinct community will enjoy this book. About the author

B.A. Summer is the fiction pen name of Jane Peyton. Jane loves novels with magical elements and loveable colourful characters from a community that makes her want to live there, which is why she writes the Sole Brethren series. That and the fact she inherited her Dad’s feet and is desperate for a genius to develop Footloose, her fictitious shoe technology in real life so she can the wondrous shoes designed by central character Cordelia Tanner.

Jane started her working life in fashion PR with shoe clients including Salvatore Ferragamo, and after careers in TV production and journalism she founded the School of Booze alcoholic drinks consultancy. Writing as Jane Peyton she has published several non-fiction books about architecture, design, and alcohol. Sole Brethren: If The Shoe Fits was her first published fiction and the sequel is Sole Brethren: Left To Their Own Devices.

She lives in Brighton, UK.

It's a novel that sheds with glitz, glamour, and a lot of anecdotes from history. It's a fashion trivia that is woven into a novel that turns into an adventure when fiery bold Cornelia is thought to take a revolutionary step in women's fashion and Shoe designing.

Cornelia is a shoe designer and shoe collector, she has an obsession with collecting shoes that are worn by famous people. And she has a special power. She can see glimpses of the shoe owner's life just by touching it. Not only that, Cornelia wants to make some revolutionary changes to women's shoe fashion, but that made a drastic change in the fashion world and it created some havoc. To know what happened next you have to read this book.

Author did a fantastic job, she did a lot of research to create this character of Cornelia. I am astounded.

Very engaging and kind of unputdownable writing style. Lucid narratives and bold quirky words created some alluring effects on readers.

B. A. Summer very skilfully created a beautiful and gorgeous fashionista character. Summer's witty dialogue and vivid description make this book engaging and fun to read.

With a delightful imaginative writing style along with good research, she created her own glitzy glamorous vineyards of the fashion world. The atmosphere is alluring with her sizzling words enthralling you immediately. A perfect light summer read.

Unmissable, Literary Joy!
‘Sheer joy and the hilarious, enchanting ride of your life awaits on the pages of Sole Brethren, If The Shoe Fits. The infinitely creative wit and imagination of the author has produced a work of literary magic, capturing a world of fabulous characters, unearthly realms, beauty, fashion, and sheer love between humans (and canines!).
Woven throughout the book is an outstanding command of the English language and some new, fabulous words and descriptions! It is also worth mentioning during the wild adventures experienced by the divine Cordelia, Rex and Elodie, there are references to some fascinating historical facts and figures.

This is not the genre I would normally choose but on the recommendation of a friend I gave it a try.
I loved this book and have to thank the author for introducing me to a quite magical reading experience. The descriptive narrative was so vivid I felt as though I was watching a movie.
The historical references were fascinating, and the Author showed great skill in combining fantasy with history. The characters are refreshing and "sooooo" entertaining, I will miss spending time with them.
In short this book is a delight.

What an absolute delight B.A Summer's book "Sole Brethren :If The Shoe Fit's" is.
It captures your heart and imagination right from the beginning and takes you on a magical journey.
Oh how l would love a night out with Cordelia and her friends!
I can see a Baz Luhrmann movie made from this joyous book .
After a rough couple of year's for everyone during covid times we definitely need Cordelia in our lives roll on for book 2.

Just a joy to read! Somehow, Summer manages to bring each character alive making you want to be their best friend. It’s H. E. Benson for Christian Louboutin and Veuve Clicquot Lovers. References to art, music, food and fashion abound. There is magic, fun and skulduggery along the way and firm bonds of family and friendship.
