“Why didn’t I start writing sooner? Though strongly and repeatedly advised by my college professors, I was too insecure to think I could actually make a living writing stories. I mean, what kind of ridiculous pipedream is that? Now having completed my first series and seeing the wonderful and unexpected response, I have begun to regret that decision. What a fantastic story! And based in the 5th century which has always seemed more of a "true" time for this tale than the later versions of the 12th and 13th centuries. There is obviously a lot of research plus a love of the story itself that has gone into the writing of this book. This is a light-hearted book which some quippy one liners in there, especially between Arthur and Bors. Your heart will go out to Uther as he struggles with himself after the death of Regan.

This book is recommended for ages of 13 and upwards which I would agree with. Definitely one to keep.

Paul Green did a lot of research on this Tales of Camelot series but it's hard to separate fact from fiction in any books about Camelot. The story of Uther Pendragon is new (to me) and very different from other books I've read on the subject. I'm looking forward to the second in the series.
