Scream For Your Life

Rate this book
Savannah is haunted by another Jane Doe murder, and Detectives Mitch Cannon and Devon Rue find a single dangly earring as their only clue. The next day, Katie Woods, who is new in Savannah, contacts them after waking bloodied and beaten in her ransacked apartment.

Mitch and Devon arrive to take her statement and inspect the scene. Katie claims she went out Sunday evening to have supper and search for employment. Those plans turned into a nightmare when she woke the next day, saw her condition, and realized she had no memory of the previous night.

While inspecting Katie’s apartment, the detectives discover an earring matching the one found at the crime scene. That discovery casts doubt on Katie’s story. Is she a cunning killer playing a dangerous game with the police, or is she another victim who narrowly escaped the same fate as Jane Doe?

As Mitch and Devon dig deeper, they uncover far more than they had expected. Now they need to determine Katie’s true role in the crime before another life is taken.

Editorial Review
“A newcomer to Savannah, Katie Woods wakes up to find herself bruised and battered in her ransacked apartment, and to top it off, some unusual circumstances tie her to a murder scene. When she clearly can’t remember how she ended up in such trouble, Detective Mitch Cannon and his team at the Savannah PD are inclined to give Katie the benefit of the doubt, yet lots of details simply don’t add up. Set in one of the South’s most legendary cities, this new thriller is one readers are sure to enjoy.” — Angela M., Line Editor, Red Adept Editing

Story was fine.
Writing was not.

Stupid detectives who take ages to put two and two together while it’s obvious from the beginning.

Leslie is missing and they have a Jane Doe and they never make the connection. When it’s revealed it’s her, they’re both shocked. Doesn’t make sense.

Katie has been poisoned with the water bottle and it, again, takes ages before they conclude the bottle may have been drugged.

Bad detectives, bad writing, bad book.

Loved it!

Detective Mitch Cannon is back, and he's trying to help a young woman who has just moved to the area. Katie just moved into an apartment and is looking for a job. She goes out for dinner and then wakes up in her apartment covered in bruises, and her apartment is a wreck. She has no memory of the previous night after leaving the restaurant. Can Mitch help her put the pieces together to solve the puzzle?

Screaming Good

This book was an interesting mix of good guys bad guys. Then there was Katie the real star of the book. I look to hear about her in the future. There was a bad guy you really didn't like. The book moved right along and kept your interest. I look forward to the next edition.
