I fell asleep reading this book last night, and it wasn't even midnight...and I don't even remember closing my eyes
The best part of this was the murder plot. I wasn't really into the romance (sex-fest). God, and then at the end of the book I found out that they had only known each other for 3 days & already were planning on getting married? Like they barely know Kady. Wait a month at least!!
When there was about 40 pages left, I was like please spare me... luckily, the murder plot got resolved so that was more interesting.
Lately I've read a few other books where there are 2 guys & one girl, but those books were a lot better and hotter. In this one, I kept thinking to myself let's say Kady is tired or something, will she seriously need to also have sex with the other guy?? I felt like she was obligated every time.
Anyway, don't mind me cleaning out my free Kindle bookshelf... some of the books are good, others are just eh like this one.

I have some issues with this book... Yes, the sex scenes are hot but it is not enough...
First... You don't even know the woman and you are already planning to marry her? With your best friend? What if she turns to be a b..ch or just plain stupid? This is not instalove or love at first sight as I have read in other reviews it is just instalust... It is just too surreal... In literally 3 days they have met, declared their endless love, get engaged (how do you legally marry two men btw??), and planned to have a baby... Too quick even for love at first sight...
Second... The two men are described on and on as cowboys but they are a lawyer and an ex-military guy who run a security firm... They live in the middle of a 10 thousand people town... What cowboy is this??
Third... They say they have never shared a woman but now they are all too happy to do it, without discussing it?? No jealousy here?? No let's think about the intel?? They just decided that they wanted the same woman (without having met her) and that they were going to share her for the rest of their lives?? No way...
Fourth... In this town, all women are shared by two men?? Does nobody see anything strange? All the side characters keep telling the heroine to stay with her men as it was the most frequent kind of relationship in the world... I am all in for all kinds of love and relationships but we live in the real world... Not everybody understands a 3-way relationship in 3 f... days...
I think I will stop here because every time I think I have finished with the flaws in this book I found another one... I guess I like my romance a little more built...

Contemporary Cowboy Menage, Insta-Lust/Love Fast Burn Can be a Standalone
FMC finds out she inherited millions and 1/5 of a ranch after the Bio-Dad she never knew about passed away and left everything to the 5 daughters he sired but didn't raise. We only meet the FMC in this book, I assume all the other love children will appear in the rest of the series. One Bio-Daughter per book.
The Lawyer in charge of his estate hires his friend a private investigator (I think) to track down the sisters and as soon as they see the FMC's picture they're hooked, one look and they both know they want to claim her for life.
FMC shows up and gets claimed, but we needed a bit more filler for this story so a man breaks into the ranch with the intent to harm. The FMC gets away and is never harmed but now we have a mystery on our hands that needs to be solved.
The drama unfolds and then ties itself back up neatly into a tidy little bow. The mystery gets solved with very little help or assistance from the characters allowing the MCs to move on toward their HEAs which include marriage and a baby carriage in their near future.

What a way to start of a brand new series! I can't get enough of these Montana cowboys!
Riley and Cord knew Kady was the one for them by the first glance of a picture. Riley being a lawyer is in charge of Kady's estranged fathers will. After finally tracking her down the two men are adamant to have her as theirs. No matter what.
I really enjoyed this fast paced romance. not only did I love the steamy sexy times but throughout this novel there's also a mysterious vibe that comes along with some hidden angst
I loved Cord's strong alpha vibe and Riley's chill vibe. Kady is one lucky lady, that's for damn sure!
As for why I dropped a star on my rating. I loved the hell out of this romance but I felt it was way to insta love.
Spurred was exactly what I was looking for. I was looking for a short fast paced novel I could sink my teeth into, cowboys were a happy bonus!
I can't wait to see what Vanessa Vale comes up with next.

May 19, 2022These are instalove, MFM, mostly sex, and only a little plot. Vale’s men are over the top alpha/bossy and there can be instances of dubious consent. None of this is my “go to” or favorite. But they’re included with Audible Plus, so why not? 🤷🏻♀️
Kylie Stewart narrates all of Vale’s work. Unfortunately her work is inconsistent. Sometimes she has good energy, emotions, and accents and other times there’s no affect at all and it sounds like AI. Occasionally within the same book. For the most part I can finish them, there’s just nothing wow about her performances.

Great start to a new series. Two hot "cowboys" for every girl. Plus in this one there's a killer for hire to take care of. It seemed a little rushed in spots and a little lacking in others, but there was plenty of sexy times to fill in.

Instalove at its most basic
Yikes. What did I just read? I like to read the occasional instalove novella as a palette cleanser to heavier stories, but this was such an odd one.
The first third felt like a fever dream. It's supposed to be the first in a series, but it felt like I was coming in halfway, and then again halfway through the 'relationship'. There was absolutely ZERO build up to the intimacy, no questions from the FMC about the dynamic between the two MMC's, and little emotional depth.
That said, there was at least a bit of drama in the middle with a murder plot.
Not for me.

Vanessa Vale is known for her sexy menage novellas. In Spurred we have two Montana men - Cord and Riley who are looking for five sisters who've inherited a ranch they never knew anything about. The first sister to arrive is Kady. She's a second grade teacher from Philadelphia. The vastness of the ranch she's inheriting with her half-sisters - ones she never knew existed - is a surprise to her. Probably not as surprising as the attraction she feels for the two men who tracked her down and brought her to the ranch, however.
As soon as Cord sees Kady in person knows she's the one for him and Riley. Now to convince her. Where they're from menage relationships are the norm. Definitely something Kady has to get used to.
In addition to some sexy time - Kady's home is broken into and someone's after her. Cord and Riley are determined to find out who's behind it all. The result is not what Kady was expecting. Life can change on a dime and this time it was for the better.

I love the concept behind the new series with the Steele half-sisters. So very interesting...makes me wonder what I would do if I found out I has inherited part of a ranch with a bunch of hotties on it! Lots of great sexy scenes. The Steele Ranch series is about five women, discovering they are half-sisters each and the heirs to millionaire Aiden Steele's ranch and fortune.
First up is Pennsylvania school teacher Kady, who falls in instalove with Riley, her father's lawyer, and Kord, the PI who tracks her down. The relationship between the three actually seems fairly good, though book would have been better if they had had more time to develop the relationship, instead of the superficial, instalove, hop in bed the day we met that's in the book. But the writing is solid, and the while the plot is a little rushed, it's still good.

What a way to kick off a brand new series…with some hot cowboys! This is a great new series that is set in Montana.
Riley is informed that a father she didn't know about has died and left her and four other 1/2 sisters his ranch and millions of dollars. The ranch in question is the Steele Ranch and it is in Montana. She ends up heading up to Montana to find out more about her inheritance. When she gets there, she is met by two sexy and desirable men- Cord and Kady. One is a lawyer handling her deceased father’s estate and the other is the caretaker of the property. Theirs is a story that begins with love at first sight and it immediately takes off and branches into intrigue, suspense, romance and oh so much more. Riley, Kady and Cord make for a great couple and the challenges that they faced are written well in this story…will they get the HEA or will Kady go back home after the summer? Will these men be for her or will the drama and angst be too much? Oh this is a fantastic start to a new series and I look forward to the rest of the coming books in this new series by Ms. Vale.

This book started out promising. I enjoyed reading how Cade and Riley hoped to win over Kady. But she succumbed to them way too early, and it was downhill from there. It seemed the author's only intent was to write one sex scene after another. The plot in between seemed thrown together without a lot of thought or research done.
Kady's sister was a stereotype. And what happened with the murder for hire scheme wasn't thought out very well. If there was any murder charge, it should have been against the ranch hand that killed the intruder. The book never stated that the intruder had attacked the ranch hand, so the shooting was probably unwarranted. And how the sheriff could arrest Kady's sister and predict that she'd be going to prison was a mystery. What was she being charged with? Being gullible and stupid? It just didn't make sense. I will not be reading any more books in this series.

I loved this book! I couldn't put this story down. I have been a fan of Vanessa Vale for a while now and I can't wait to read the rest of this series.
Kady has learned that her biological father has left her an inheritance from his estate. She goes out to Montana for the summer to get away from her memories. Once there, she meets Riley and Cord who instantly feel a connection with her. They know that she is the one for them to share. When someone breaks into the ranch, will the boys figure out who is after her before it's too late?
Highly recommend this book.

This was a typical Vanessa Vale book, and once again I enjoyed it. Her stories always make you question if the phrase "Love at first sight" is a thing. Right off the back toy feel the chemistry between Katie, Cord, and Riley. Although it did go really fast. I mean with in a 3 day span they fucked multiple times and were engaged. The twist was that someone was hired to kill Katie. We later found out it was Beth's , Katie's sister, husband that was trying to have her killed. It was pretty scary. In the end he was caught though, and Katie decided to stay in Montana with Cord and Riley.

This book was the ticket.

Insta love for this threesome. Brief plot. It had the potential to be really good with the plot and developing romance spread out a little more. Overall enjoyable. I listened for free on hoopla.
