After the devastating loss of her child’s father, Leerah struggles to piece her life back together. Despite her best efforts to keep her distance, she finds herself entangled in a complicated situation. Trying to resist her growing feelings for her baby father’s godbrother, Cree, Leerah grows overwhelmingly confused with mixed emotions.

He was against the rules—strictly forbidden.

But sometimes… rules were meant to be ignored. They both knew the risks and the boundaries they were crossing, yet their connection was undeniable. Cree didn’t pursue her to save her but to remind her of what she meant to him… of who she’d always been. Maybe, just maybe, Cree was the person Leerah needed all along.

“Is that your first time praying for me?” Cree shook his head. “No. I’ve prayed for you since the day I met you.”

When Mama Jackson said, “That’s a good man Savannah” she was talkin’ about Cree. I don’t think I can truly express how much I loved me some Cree Landry. Cree is the man we all pray the Lord will express deliver to us right to our front door. When Terrance died, he stepped up to make sure Leerah and Landon wanted for nothing. He paid daycare fees, he bought groceries, he put extra money in her pocket, and he spent time with Landon. Whatever Leerah needed, Cree was there to give it to her without her asking. It also didn’t hurt that he’s been in love with her since their freshman year of college. Cree and Leerah have history that’s, somewhat, messy. When she and Terrance got together, whatever could’ve been was shelved and forgotten.

Leerah is faced with a moral conundrum. She’s grieving Terrance’s death and fighting her feelings for Cree at the same time. The shift in their relationship is evident but, Cree being Terrance’ Godbrother is sure to cause some problems with his family. Especially, with his messy azz aunt and cousins. Leerah is conflicted and tries her hardest to ignore the pull between them but, her besties aren’t havin’ it. “That man wants to be with you. I see it. You see it. Everyone sees it, but you. Maybe you need to make an appointment at Visionworks. It’s one near you.” LOL!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Get you a friend like Sovanna who will keep it a buck with you. Cree was ready to risk it all and give everybody the middle finger who had somethin' to say. Leerah just had to get out of her own way and stop worrying about what other people will think. And, Cree’s 95%/5% was definitely the sellin’ point she needed to help make her decision. You gotta read the book to understand that lil nugget. 😏😏😏😏 I really enjoyed Here With You Forever. Cree was 100% the star of this book. The way he loved and catered to Leerah, despite her hesitance, had me swoonin’ and wanting more from these two.

“You deserve everything good in this world, and if that’s me, let me be that for now.”

I’ve been ready for this forbidden’ish love story since I finished “Heat of the Moment”. To me once a lover passes, the gloves come off and all’s fair in love and HEA. Cree made his presence known from the moment we were introduced to his character. His presence was loud and dominant and suffocating in the best way possible. He just oozed all the things and we were ready to absorb every drop.

As the best friend and god brother of Terrence he naturally picked up the slack after his passing when it came to making sure Leerah and Landon were more than good! He had a kind heart so it was nothing to pour into those he cared about and before she was Terrence’s girl, they were friends and that did not change with the tragedy that their circle experienced.

Their motives and intentions were always pure but now they are looking at each other real different, the shift is clear and fighting against it seems futile. Sometimes those quiet gestures speak the loudest and it was the simple things for me.

🩵it was making her plate and letting her eat without a toddler hanging from her tits for me
💙it was the tool box for me ⚒️ 🧰🩷🖤
🩵it was Cree praying for her for me 🙏🏽
💙It was giving her a safe space to navigate her grief without guilt for me.
🩵It was Leerah’s mama not playing about her babies for me
💙It was the friendship and support systems for me because it takes a village!
🩵It was the positive affirmations and reaffirming for me
💙 It was 🗣️DEFINITELY the 95/5% for me 🥵😮‍💨

Cree was absolute perfection! He said all the right things, he did all the right things and he stood on business to infinity and beyond when it came to Leerah and Landon! I mean Briann couldn’t have written a more perfect MMC. HOWEVER 🫣 I did not feel the same connection on the same level of intensity that I did reading about their forbidden chemistry in the first book. I just knew they were going to have my heart fluttering like a fish out of water but they just didn’t do it for me! There was more time spent on all of the outside forces working against them and the hating áss heaux’s plotting for their downfall and when we did get these two on page in their element, things kinda fell flat for me. I didn’t get intense, heart stopping, all consuming love like I anticipated. There were some good moments but not earth shattering like I’d hoped for. I am happy that they didn’t allow negativity and the chatter of others to alter their ending. They both deserved the happiness they received!

No boundaries for love

The tension we felt in "The Heat of the Moment," from Cree and Leerah was addressed, but I wanted more for them.

Although, their situation was not ideal it seemed to be perfect for them. Leerah was grieving, but that entire situation was so messy. She wanted badly to move forward, but the haters were loud and strong with their judgemental words. Cree, who has been a kind hearted boss in a few previous books was ready to make Leerah his. He was a grown man and gave 0 fks about what anyone thought, and his intentions were pure. I appreciated the back story, but it left me with more questions.

I wanted to understand the dynamic of Cree and Terrance's friendship more, because why introduce him to Leerah?? The mention of Cree's mother to not really tap into was odd, I felt like that part was unnecessary if there wasn't going to be follow thru. Cree was so supportive of Leerah, I think there was a missed opportunity for her to support him. Maybe through his feelings about his mother. It would have been nice to connect it somewhere.
Lastly, selfishly I wanted more time with Leerah, Landon, and Cree I felt like they deserved a little more time on page.

Overall could have been more cohesive.

I really enjoyed the characters and their personalities in this book. The banter was hilarious, I love forbidden love, and a man that’s stepping up and being A GOOD MAN!

But I’m so sad that I didn’t fall in love with this book. There was lots of dialogue between the friends and family but I just feel like I needed more from Leerah and Cree to really feel their connection.

Well, Briann turned a situation around that had the potential of being messy as hell, into a beautiful friends to lover's story. Leerah losing her son's father (Terrance) was painful, but she needed to move forward for her son. Although he was a horrible boyfriend, he was a good father, and Leerah hated that her son would grow up without him.

Cree, her good friend, and the person who introduced her to Terrance, has been there for her in every way to help her cope with her new normal. Cree is the one that she let get away and is now looking at him differently. Can I pursue something with him being so close to Terrance? What will people say? Does he even want me like that? She is conflicted, and it doesn't help that Cree continues to step up without her even having to ask.

Cree! This man has a heart of gold and is willing to do any and everything for those he loves. He let his opportunity pass him by before with Leerah, and will not allow that to happen again if he can help it. So, let's begin to apply the gentle pressure. The patience and restraint that Cree showed was admirable with Leerah all over the damn place. 👀

Loved the cameos from Synovi, Torin, Sovanna and Zahir. Now Leerah's friend Nae is getting the 👀 from me as she is doin' the most asking questions about a married man. 😤 Saleem and Amira... what is up with y'all? Looking forward to the next read.

I am always a fan of a good love story. A forbidden romance with a slight twist is also another slick story to explore as well. I highly recommend this one, four stars...

Here with you forever

I had been anticipating Cree and Leerah’s story after reading book 1 and I enjoyed seeing them getting their happily ever after. I loved the way Cree loved on her and always made sure she was good. Their friendship was beautiful and learning about their past made it hard to see why she friendzoned him in college. I would have liked to see more of their relationship develop on page as majority of this story was filled with Leerah second guessing her feelings for him or that it was okay for her to move on to him. For someone that claimed to not care what people thought of her, Leerah sure was thinking way too hard about other peoples’ opinions on her moving on with Cree, especially from people who didn’t matter. I understand that Cree and Terrance were godbrothers, but Terrance was dead and gone and not coming back and after learning about the past connection between Leerah and Cree, it had me trying to understand why Leerah friendzoned him when even in college, it seemed he was all about her. I did also like that her girls encouraged her to move on with Cree and telling her to do what made her happy. All in all, I liked this book because Cree was that man and would rate this story 3.5/5 stars.

Cree was the PERFECT MMC to me. Patient. Communicative. Generous. Affirming. Shows up without you having to ask. Stands on what he feels and doesn’t care what others have to say.🥰I didn’t quite understand why Leerah received so much flack from her dead BD’s family, considering that they weren’t together when he died. Book 1 made it seem as if they were in an active relationship, to which that I guess I could see why her and Cree’s relationship would be seen as taboo and that she “moved on too fast”. But I wasn’t getting vibes that Cree & BD were close. Just a “our mamas are best friends” kinda vibe. At any rate, Leerah was about her business as a mother & I loved that she didn’t take any stuff from anyone. I do wish their past history was flushed out a bit more. Because I had a couple of questions still.

We first met Cree & Leerah in “Heat Of The Moment” & since reading that book, I couldn’t wait to read their story.

This was sort of like a forbidden love/friends to lovers story. For the life of me, I didn’t understand why Terrance’s family was so aggravating except for his mom. Just throw the whole family away because they had no business being foul towards Leerah. ESPECIALLY after we find who Terrance was with in that car 😑

Some things I wish were further explained like their friendship when they were in college 🥰 I loved those tidbits. I was happy that Leerah stopped being scary & went after what she wanted because Cree was everythinggggg.

I knew reading about Leerah and Cree in book 1 that there was sooo much more to their story! Living in your truth and perfect timing is the perfect way to describe the love between these two! I won't spoil this friends-to-lovers romance nor why it's also a second chance love but iI will say BriAnn Danae wrote a beautiful love with these two in a short amount of pages! BriAnn does a great job of navigating through grief and how that looks for everyone. I also am shocked but not surprised at how Terrence was moving smh. Ashley Girl you really tried it smh. I loved the updates from Zahir and Sovanna and hope we get another book to see more from them and now Cree and Leerah! Overall great read and looking forward to more in this series!

Cree.
Cree.

That man.
That man.

I had such a time reading this. One thing about Ms BriAnn she knows how to make you fall in love with these men she pens, and baby Cree? No different.

I may be in the minority but I sonr see an issue with Cree and Leerah. Terrence is dead. He’s not coming back. So literally anybody is up.

I love a good friends to lovers story and if Leerah would’ve been honest Cree in college this could’ve been avoided.

I was already looking forward to this story because in “Heat of the Moment” Cree and Leerah synergy was out of this world. The way he stepped up and supported her and her son Landon was incredible. He did so much without ever being asked. It’s like he didn’t give Leerah a chance to say no to his generosity.

Cree’s all in but Leerah is on the fence. Is dating the Godbrother, to your deceased ex-boyfriend too close for comfort? Personally, I think it all depends on the circumstances. In this situation her ex, Terrance, cheated their entire relationship while Leerah remained loyal until she finally ended the relationship. I feel like it’s free game at that point. She doesn’t owe Terrance a bit of loyalty.

Grief is a tricky thing and everyone processes differently. It’s way more common than you think for “forbidden love,” to form. It makes sense to me though. There’s no other person in the world who would ever truly understand your grief better than someone who went through it right by your side. Trauma-bonding isn’t always a bad thing. Sometimes it’s better than trying to explain why you are the way you are to someone who’s never experienced what you’re going through.

I wish Mrs. Vee’s wig did get her wig slapped off. All of the drama with her and some of Terrances’ other nosey family members took away from the love story trying to form. Leerah and Terrance weren’t even together at the time of his death so what’s the issue? They act like she owes him loyalty in death when he never showed her loyalty in life.

The only thing missing was the connection between Cree and Terrance. Yes they’re Godbrothers, but we never heard much about their relationship. Were they close?

I just knew these two wouldn't disappoint me. After meeting Cree and Leerah in Heat of the Moment, I was captivated by their story. And let me tell you, they delivered everything I wanted and more.

Following the sudden loss of her baby's father, Terrance, Leerah Canady is navigating the challenging task of raising her son alone. Thankfully, she has an incredible support system that refuses to let her struggle. And right there by her side is none other than Mr. Cree Landry. He's the ultimate "Mr. Get It Done" - a man who sees a need and jumps in without being asked. He's showing Leerah that she's not alone and doesn't have to bear the burden by herself.

Leerah and her ex had a tumultuous relationship, and with their last conversation giving her hope for their future just the day before his passing, she finds herself torn when she starts developing romantic feelings for Cree, who also happens to be Terrance's God Brother. As they grapple with their shared history, Cree and Leerah must decide if their budding connection is worth shaking things up.

Oh and the Easter eggs BriAnn dropped in the book, I LOVE seeing characters from past books 🤗

In spite of grief, there's still room for love.

Leerah is still grieving her baby dad five months later and trying to navigate life without him present with their son. Cree picks up where Terrance left off, making sure Leerah and Landon want for nothing and being the friend that Leerah needed in that moment. Leerah then begins to realize her feelings for Cree are deeper than what she thought, and so the forbidden love story blooms.

I loved Cree; he was the perfect man, from paying off 3 months of Landon's daycare to praying for Leerah to not letting Leerah play anymore games and pushing her to ultimately make a decision for what was best for them as a couple. I loved whenever he was on page. I love when a partner helps you be a better you. I can see that for Leerah and Cree.

The chemistry between the two was a bit on and off for me. I think with all the outside forces going on in the book, it took away from the two, especially because this is a short book. Although there's a few things I would change, I'd still recommend this.

After not finding a book I was in the mood to read and cooking across this was everything. I love me a good forbidden romance. I love Cree. Nobody can change my mind. That man is whew! But Leerah didn’t have anything to feel bad about or anything. She followed her heart and I loved that for her. I honestly felt like they should’ve gotten together earlier but I didn’t read book one to know if it was important details about them mentioned. I honestly want to know why she wanted so long like he was meant to be hers from the jump. But they were cute and I love how he was a gentleman and so loving to her and ahh just so cute!

CREE & LEERAH ❤️

I loved Cree and Leerah's story. Despite the devastating loss Leerah was dealing with, I loved how she continued to push through for herself and Landon. Although Cree and Leerah had a history, they never crossed that line, but how much longer can you fight the feelings for someone you've wanted for so long. I loved their friendship. Cree stepping up to be there for Leerah and Landon said a lot about the type of man he is. I was happy that they decided to take things to the next level and didn't care what anyone thought. The blessings from their families and Ms Andrea were all that mattered. Love definitely won for these two.

thank you to BriAnn Danae for an ARC of this book 🩵

Y’ALLLLL THIS BOOK 🥹🥹🥹🥹

these two definitely had some things to work through before they could really flourish and love on each other like they deserved. I’m glad they did and didn’t let what other people have to say keep them from happiness. they deserve to be happy too, even if it’s “forbidden” because of who they were to Terrance. people gone always talk and have something to say. forget them and do what makes you happy and what feels right to you 🫶🏽

now I haven’t read all of her books but based on what I have read…BriAnn gone write a good man if she don’t do nothing else 😂 and baby Cree is a GOOD. MAN. he took his role as provider seriously and I love that for Leerah and Landon lol. sweet, caring, protective. made sure they didn’t want for anything. THE EPILOGUE!!!! just a great man fr. add him to my list of book husbands 🤭

my girl Leerah…strong yet soft. a great mommy. a beautiful soul. she deserves the happiness she got in this book. to live without worrying about what others have to say. she deserves to be wined and dined, taken on trips, and loved unconditionally. I know that she’ll get it with Cree and I am SO here for it. give her all the good things 🥰

f*** Vee. all my homies hate Vee.

in conclusion, y’all this was good!! funny, sweet, sexc. just…yes. if you haven’t already, I highly recommend you check this serious out. thank you again Bri for allowing me to read this 🫂
