Second reading of this book, throughly enjoyed it both times. The story of Brooke and Evan is amazing, awe inspiring and so hot. Certainly not one for the shy sort of person. Age gap romance

Beautifully written.
Absolutely loved everything about this book ,completely different from my usual reads .

5/5 Stars – LOVED IT!!
High Stakes by Marilynn Harper totally pulled me in from the start! I seriously couldn’t put it down. The age gap romance was written so well—nothing cringey, just real feelings and amazing chemistry. The characters were super relatable and had me rooting for them the whole time.
I laughed, I swooned, and maybe even teared up a little. The emotional moments hit just right, and the story had such a good mix of sweet, steamy, and heartfelt. Plus, the writing was smooth and kept me turning the pages like crazy!
If you’re into romance with real depth and a little spice, this one’s for you. I’m already adding more of Marilynn Harper’s books to my TBR!

Love the relationship between these two
Reverse age gap books are, unfortunately, rarer than they should be.
This story is really good.
There were times in the beginning when I wanted to throw hands with Evan's thoughts, but he was just young. His character development in the book showed.
I like the time jumps to show her hesitancy because she had valid reasons to be hesitant.
The spice was amazing and varied throughout the book.
Reverse age gap books are, unfortunately, rarer than they should be.
