Art and science blend together in this fascinating visual tour of 25 nature cycles
Discover how trees lose their leaves, what makes flowers bloom, why seeds travel, and many more incredible processes that happen all around us. Split into six sections—trees, leaves, flowers, seeds, mushrooms, and seasons—the book’s spreads present different scenes and explains the stories of nature from pollination to photosynthesis, germination to decomposition, in a simple way. Anatomical profiles feature at the start of each section to give a broad overview to each chapter, and feature detailed diagrams and dissections for children to pore over. Perfect for lap-time reading, this is a must-have compendium for young naturalists.
This book was such a pleasure to read, following the arrows to learn the whole cycle (for 20 different interconnected cycles). So much great nature information in a easily readable book! Loved the mushroom cycles the most. I would recommend this book to families as they explore the natural world and also to spark interest in going outside and exploring. I learned a lot of new terminology that will help me appreciate and understand the natural world better.
