Sinful and Mary are back for the summer, and though they've grown as a couple and adore their kids, Mary, the tireless prayer warrior, is feeling worn out. She's embarking on a quest to rediscover herself, leaving Sin with the daunting mission of keeping their household intact. Between chasing after their energetic children, navigating a whirlwind of disasters, and trying to keep his sanity, Sin's summer turns into a hilarious adventure of chaos, unexpected wisdom, and a whole lot of love. Can Sin keep everything from falling apart while Mary finds her groove, or will their summer become one for the family history.
I enjoyed reading A Sinful Summer so much! It was so good to get an update on Mary, Sincere, and the kids! I know when reading a Kendra Necole book, I'm going to get some drama, love and laughter! She didn't disappoint me at all! I love that Mary found her voice! That girls trip is one of my favorite scenes in this book along side many more. I'm glad that Sincere saw what impact that Mary had in all of their lives. I'm so happy for the amount of growth he has made. This book is simply amazing.
It’s always a good time with Sinful and Mary. I loved Sinful’s growth and seeing him as a family man. It was great seeing Mary come out of her shell. Her grandma was trash. I hope we get to see more of them in the future.
Man…those babies weren’t playing about their mama. When they thought Sin cheated, they were about to whoop his ass. Then why in the world does this man call them bloody Mary’s when they have their cycle…lmao!!
This book was a look at Mary’s life after being married to Sincere for years. She was doing everything, and you could feel how exhausted she was. All the kids leaned on her for every little thing, and it was clear she was running on empty. On top of that, Sincere wasn’t helping or showing up the way he should have. She was carrying the household on her back and not even getting basic appreciation for it. Sis was TIRED.
Grandma Mable’s after-death message, that was one moment where I wished Mary would’ve protected her peace. The second those hateful words started, she should’ve turned it off. Nothing good was ever going to come from that.
I was on board with Mary needing a break and time for herself, but some of her choices made me side-eye her. The male strip club wasn’t it, especially since she’s quick to get upset if another woman even looks at Sincere. She be ready to attack.
Then Lala… pinning a baby on a man she told the world was the father when he wasn’t. Sleeping with his son on top of that made that heaux even nastier. I get why the thing with Sydney stays quiet for the family’s sake, but if she was loud with the lie about Sincere, the truth should’ve been just as loud. She deserved real accountability.
Overall, I still think this was a strong ending to the series. It showed the unglamorous side of marriage, parenting, and being the emotional glue for everyone else. It wasn’t perfect, and I liked that the story didn’t shy away from how draining love and responsibility can be.
I must say Kendra you never disappoint us. This book was a surprise to me and I enjoyed it from the beginning to the end. Mary went through some things with being overwhelmed with her life. But her girls were there to try and help her figure things out, and have a good time in the process. I love the growth in Sincere he has gotten his grown man sh*- on lockdown. The love he has for Mary and kids is so strong and then to treat Zo as part of the family show he is most definitely the man. Kendra I love that you put a little humor in here too. I hope this not the end of this family because I can’t wait to see what kind of mayhem the rest of the kids will bring lol. Oh yeah I love the new Mary she doesn’t play about her husband and kids anyone can catch the holy hands😂. Keep up the great work.
Take a ride with this couple as Mary and Sincere realized sometimes a superwoman needs a cape! Mary realized that sometimes you need to step back and self care otherwise your mental health will take you down even when you love your family to pieces.
Sincere didn’t realized how Mary makes taking care of the family so effortless until it was his turn to step up.
Mary was not the only one that went “wild” that summer because the children also were getting it on LOL 😂.
There was one situation I was holding my breath and wondering how the author would take her vision on this delicate situation. I think IMHO that person didn’t get what they deserved and more actions should have been taken!
Kendra Canty, what a great read. When we look at Mary, we only see her as a soft-spoken, holy woman. I really appreciated you showing what happens when you don't realize what is actually needed to have a smooth ride. Sincere, may have l loved Mary unconditionally he had no clue to all she did. I was glad the family went through all they went through to appreciate how many roles Mary plays When I tell you I loved each person's role , but that Zo oh my lamb how I loved him. Such a nice addition to the Kennedy family. Another great read🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
As alway there is never a dull moment with Sincere and Mary….I love how there characters are for each other and their kids…the children are entertaining as well..Mary’s grandma was bitter in life and death but at least the cat will get to shut on her…..Rose and her momma got to grab that prayer cloth when busting a move…but if cousin Zo didn’t bring more shenanigans to their already lively household…the story line was great, characters were well developed and relatable can’t watch to see their next adventure cause Sidney and Zo got a story to tell and I’m here for it……..job well done
OMG, what an amazing book! I've been following Mary & Sinful from the very beginning, and it was so thrilling to see them back in action with all their kids. Mary's transformation was absolutely incredible. I'm so happy she had an unforgettable summer, and she's truly a national treasure. It was fantastic to see Sinful getting involved and spending quality time with the kids. And can we talk about how much the kids have grown up? Rose is blossoming into a young woman, and Sydney is off to college! I can't believe it! I'm going to miss this family so much... but fingers crossed they surprise us again. Maybe for Sydney's college graduation (hint hint)? And Zo was the perfect addition to this already amazing family.
I appreciated how masterful and intentional you were about preserving the authenticity of these characters…While still allowing them to evolve…Mary needed a voice to compliment the one the Lord gave her because she had no more cheeks to turn…Sinful’s softer side needed to be seen without reducing him to a lesser version of the man he is…Their ability to continue navigating and supporting each other through the trials and tribulations…Gave Life…Keeping the humor of Mary and Sinful intact…Gave Life…Sinful putting her Granny’s ashes in their cats litter box..Cemented why he’s amongst one of our favorites..Job well done!!!!
Mary and Sincere are back for another installment in their crazy lives. this time Mary is a new mother (again) but this time with a house full of kids and a husband who needs her. suffering from post-partum depression, Mary decides to take an impromptu vacation with her girls leaving Sincere at home with a house full of kids.
i love this family! enjoyed seeing Mary come into her own and have new experiences. also loved watching Sincere handle the household in her absence. I cannot stand that bytch Lala. she almost got Sidney caught up! loved how the family rallied around him.
enjoyed this addition to the Sincere and Mary series.
My favorite couple back again and I loved it them kids was a hoot, Mary went through what alot of Mothers, Wives go through and we need to reset. I was so happy to get a glimpse of what's going on in Sincere and Mary's life with they Fifty- leven kids lol hopefully we get to see more every now and then! I can't wait to see Kendra Nicole next work .
I truly enjoyed this series and I laughed and got emotional!!!.. There was so much growth with this family and friends and love the time jump to see the growth in the children too!!!… Mary was dealing a lot with being home with all the children, but she forgot about herself and so did the ppl in her household!!!… Sincere grew so much and I loved them as a couple because they brought out the best in each other!!!…
Our Mary has turned it up a few notches!!!! I love it Mary has shown us that she got a little good in her as well. She don’t play about her family and I’m here for it. I loved this new found Mary. This was a GREAT book and I loved it from beginning to end!!! Thank You Kendra for another banger 😊
The growth of these two from the beginning to now was everything. I loved seeing Mary boss up and come into her own! It had me hollering I was no more good! And watching him dealing with Rose. Bruhhh! Zo gave him a run for his money! He was bout to stroke out lol! I need a kids book! Outstanding!
AvSinful Summer was the book i didn’t know i needed. Mary and Sincere will always have a special place in my heart. This wasn’t just an update kinda book but a real story. The family has grown so beautifully. OMG Zo is a character. I appreciate see Mary in a different light. Great read.
The growth in these books gets better and better. Mary played no games when it came to her family. I love that when she felt overwhelmed. She knew to step away. It was wonderful to see sinful step up in her absence and accept that he needed to be more present Loved their relationship and how protective she was of her family.
Let’s start with Mary found herself and proved she still loved her husband, and children! Even when we attempt to watch over our children there is always someone in the back ground lurking. Mary has a heck of a right hook! I would recommend this book! I laughed and cried! Mary had a great time and I enjoyed it with her!
Kendra Necole you did it again!! I laughed so hard in this book my stomach hurt! That darn Mary didn’t play any games I’m this book and Sinful was about to pull those dreads out dealing with Sydney and Zo!!! I love it! It was time for Mary to learn Mary
Mary is back in action and dealing with family and day to day. I loved the summer vibes of my favorite family and can’t wait to hear about their holidays going forward!
Instead of ignoring our inner feelings we need to work through each emotion to find solutions that will work for our mental well being. Support of family and friends is essential especially when children are involved an unhealthy parent makes unemotional attached humans.
I still love this family. Mary is a mess coming out of her shell. I love how Sin still loves her no matter what. It was funny when the kids were ready to jump him thinking he was cheating on their mother. I hate Lala took advantage of Sydney. I'm glad he wasn't the father.
This book was very good Mary grandmother was still with the shits even after her death. Im glad Mary got a chance to find herself. Sinful was still crazy and didn't play about Mary. This was a very good read and help you learn how to deal with someone being SA and having postpartum after giving birth.
I loved this book anyone who's followed sin and Mary knows the things they've been through. The saying about love overcoming is just the beginning for these to I love the growth and Mary is the funniest fmc ivee er met
Mary and Sinful are my favorite people. I enjoyed and laughed so much. I love the way Mary got her voice and Sinful got to see what it takes to run a successful household. I need more Mary and Sinful. They got a lot of kids so the books can go on please.
This was a wonderful end to this series. Sinful, Mary, and the kids were a joy to check back in on. For an entertaining read on every level, I highly recommend the Sinful series.
I loved this series! The realness of true love and the momma bear protectiveness is expressed with so much grace! I love the phrase, grown in my heart!💜. That’s how i love my bonus babies. But they are still pieces of my heart just like their brother.
