The daughter of an Italian father and German mother, she studied art history and psychology at the University of Lüttich.

What can I say - I've loved Federica de Cesco's books since I was a child, and this is her typical fare. The book's age (first published in 1991) is mostly noticeable in that some of the language used wouldn't fly today, but given that I'm older than the book, I can live with that and simply see it as a product of its time.
