This romance features: small town romance, sex worker single dad+kindergarten teacher, homophobia.
I wanted to like this book, but there was something about the pacing and relationship development that just didn't click. The romance is cute, but there was a bit of ott drama that I didn't enjoy much. I'm not usually a fan of single parent stories, but Mia was such a sweet kid that I didn't mind at all. The sex work aspect was not handled in a way that I liked, but I get that showing the grey areas is necessary. I appreciated the importance of schools as inclusive environments and as a place where we can teach kids to be accepting.
It was a cute story but not my favourite.

This is a sweet story set in a small town about a gay kindergarten teacher and a single dad with a kid with epilepsy. The dad - Marc- and his daughter Mia have recently moved to this small town seeking a fresh start and to leave near Marc's brother. Mia is a cute kid and she wins over the hearts of everyone at her new school and quickly becomes part of the community. Marc, who is working at his brother's auto shop, does as well, especially given how good-looking he is. These good looks led him into becoming a camboy when he was strapped for cash and needed to find a way to support his daughter and to pay all the hospital bills. His secret life as Magic Marco, though, is not a secret to Ken, who is in fact a fan.
So, this book is set in Texas and as someone who grew up in Texas, this felt very true to the setting. The author included some of the issues that relate to the queer community here in this book, especially those relevant to schools/education at the moment and I think this was relevant and handled well. I also enjoyed Marc calling Ken "Kenny" since that was definitely a nickname I heard alot back then :)
I also really liked the diversity in this book. Many characters, including one of the MC & his family, were Latinos and there was a tiny bit of Spanish sprinkled in (Papi, princesa, etc) and it was done in an organic way. Some of the teachers/staff at the school were also non-white and that was great to see.
I think my fave part of this book is the last 20% or so & it includes a particularly nice spice scene that felt emotional and had redemptive qualities for Marc.
Having said that, I do think the pace at which Marc and Ken's relationship developed felt a bit off kilter. There was also some over the top yet unsurprising drama that took up way too much space, given that this is a shorter book. But the part that I found outright upsetting was the judgment that Marc leveled at himself as Marco. No shame, Marc - you did what you needed to do to provide.
Like I previously stated, my fave part was the last 20% or so of the book. It ended on a great note.

I'm super torn with this read. While on one hand it was super cute and sweet, the other hand it was extremely repetitive and predictable.
The whole 3rd act drama was a bit predictable and I really don't like that nothing more came from it. It was just abruptly ended and that was that.
There was not much cohesiveness to fully enjoy.

I was looking for a short and easy read, and since I love MM stories, I decided to start this one. The story was nice, and I really enjoyed the moments between Ken, Marc, and Mia.
Ken was a kindergarten teacher who was introduced to a new student, Mia, and her dad, Marc. He was shocked when he came face-to-face with Marc—also known as Magic Marco on an adult site where Ken had been a subscriber for years. He tried to act normal, but every time he saw Marc, he couldn’t deny his attraction to him.
Marc was a single dad who moved to Blanco Springs with his six-year-old daughter after his divorce, to be closer to his brother and start anew. Mia had some health issues, so Marc began posting videos on an adult site whenever he needed extra money. He often saw Ken when he picked Mia up from school, and over time, he started seeing Ken in a different way.
Ken and Marc shared several moments, and while their chemistry was undeniable, they were afraid to start something since Ken was Mia’s teacher. They also knew there were people in their small town and at school who were judgmental. They tried to fight their attraction, but eventually decided to give their relationship a chance. Things changed when they went out of town to celebrate Ken’s birthday, and Marc discovered that Ken knew about his Magic Marco page.
Everything got worse when someone leaked Marc’s page and revealed that he was a parent at the school. Wanting to protect his daughter, Marc planned to leave town, but after talking to his brother and sister-in-law, he wasn’t sure if that was the right choice. Ken later went to his house to bring Mia’s things from school and decided to be honest with Marc about his feelings and why he hadn’t told him about being one of his subscribers. They spent some time apart, but it was nice to read how Marc eventually decided to stay and take a chance on their relationship.
I really enjoyed reading about Ken and Marc’s moments together and how everything worked out for them in the end. I loved how they didn’t hesitate to welcome a new member into their family and how sweet they were with their two kids.

I enjoyed Marco and Ken’s story, the instant connection they had irrespective of Marc’s past internet activities, the connection also that Ken had with Mia, a little star in the story. To me, the book is about trust and how past feelings affect it; honesty in a relationship but also when the sharing of information should happen; the meaning of family; standing up for your beliefs, even when it isn’t easy; and fighting for what you want, no matter the odds. Despite the attraction, there were roadblocks to the growing relationship, and each character had to evaluate if, or how, they would deal with them, face and work them out, or turn tail and run.
Ken’s avoidance of sharing his knowledge about Marc’s internet activities early in the relationship had me wondering if Marc ever intended to say something about his past himself. I thought both needed some responsibility for that “coming out” and a recognition that both were actually harboring a secret.
As a former teacher, of first graders, I appreciated the frequent references to Mia’s adjustment to her new school and class, her growth as academically and socially, her exuberant attitude toward the school environment, and the possible negative impact on her if that would change. Sometimes kids get caught in the middle of adult drama without the impact to them getting equal concern. As a character, Mia and her health problems were a good catalyst to get Marc and Ken together more than they might have otherwise. I also appreciated Ken’s little symbol of inclusion for his students and their families, and joining in with others to make individuals own up to their actions and impacts on others.
I found lots of messages in the book, wound into and around the story, I identified with the MCs, and was invested in the outcome of their relationship, and would recommend the book for its many messages.

This book was a cute small town romance between Ken, a kindergarten teacher and Marc, the dad of one of Ken’s new students and the secret porn star of whom Ken is already a subscriber.
I thought the characters were well developed and the relationship between Marc and his daughter Mia was just so precious. I also really liked the relationship that Ken built with Mia.
However, I found the relationship between Ken and Marc just too intense too quick. There’s insta love and then there’s just this. It felt like it went from like one conversation to kissing to a weekend away together and love declarations after 5 interactions. We needed to see a lot more interaction between them to make the seeming intensity of their relationship realistic.
I also didn’t like the school conflict with Nancy. More could have been said there and we saw no consequences or resolution to this storyline aside from the possibility of a committee in the school which to be honest was a little weird to announce at a carnival.
The other issue I had with this was that when Marc found out about Ken knowing about Magic Marco, all the blame was put on Ken. Yes, it was shitty that he knew and didn’t say anything. But I would also expect that if they are at a point in your relationship where they are going for a weekend away, Marc should have told Ken about Magic Marco. There wasn’t even an acknowledgement that Marc was also in the wrong and that didn’t sit right with me.
The premise for the book is strong but I think the author may have tried to do too much in such a short book. If it was longer, it may have worked a little better than it did. We didn’t get to experience much of the book as the author did more telling of the story than showing which unfortunately, for me, is a bit of a pet peeve of mine.
In short, it’s a cute book that ultimately fell a little flat for me. It could be great with a little more length and development of the relationship.

A SWEET READ WITH HOMOPHOBIA AND BIGOTRY CONNOTATIONS!💕

I was a bit disappointed in this new to me author’s writing although it was a sweet read with an engaging storyline but it felt a bit one sided…
An instant attraction and connection forms between the two main characters but it felt a bit rushed as there was no proper character development or growth just a Mia culpa regarding a secret that was kept from the other and only one blame was given…
“Secrets and lies can cause damage even when they come from good intentions.”
Marc Mendez- a single divorced father barely keeping head above water turns to a Privately Yours webpage to earn extra money and his daughter’s new kindergarten teacher Kendall Parker is a top tier subscriber…. and then the truth is revealed…
I loved the father daughter bond between Marc and Mia and the bond between Kendall and Mia.
The support from Marc’s brother and sister in law was heartwarming!
The support and confidence Ken gave Marc regarding his passion and dream was heartfelt and the way that they both made each other feel seen was so special.
Their journey to happiness was wrought with hardships regarding fear of loss, shame, acceptance, trust and forgiveness but their connection is far too strong to just ignore…
“the connection between us was more than physical; it was a meeting of souls.”
An open ended epilogue with a surprise regarding their future will intrigue…

I’ve never read anything by this author and this was such a good book that I may need to read her other works.
I loved the dynamic between Marc, Ken, and Mia. Instantly, Mia was at home when she met Mr. Parker and he was so good to her. When Ken saw Marc and realized he was the man that he watched online, he was in shock.
But when they grew close, I felt like I was watching their relationship. And poor Ken had the best birthday weekend until he didn’t when Marc found out he knew who he was.
The things I did not like was how Marc did not apologize to Ken later for leaving him at the hotel away from their hometown because he was so upset. That was just wrong. Stella had to come and get him.
Other than that part of the book, I loved everything else. The last 20% was simply perfect. I loved how Ken finally told Nancy off because she was the one that spread the gossip. All that Marc was trying to do was to support his daughter. And the ending of this book was perfect.
And I loved the spicy scenes between Ken and Marc. It was so emotional and it wasn’t rushed. I loved how they both took care of one another.

This book was really really great!
Marc was such an amazing character. He was so loving and sweet, he is such a wonderful father. I absolutely adored him.
Ken was great too. I liked him immediately and together they had such a beautiful connection.
The secret, that Ken knew about Marc's cam shows and videos, hung it above their heads the whole time and made me so so nervous. It really made me uneasy, I was almost relieved when it was revealed that Ken knew. Of course I knew that, that it will become a conflict but wow. The break up was for 25%!!!! of the book and yes, I checked exactly how long it was. For such a short book, such a loooong break up, was ridiculous!! I hate third act break ups but a lot of books have them so I'm kinda used to them but this one shocked me. The good thing though, it was still interesting, they didn't just deal with heartbreak, which made it more interesting.
I like that the author chose to talk a little bit about the injustices queer people face, especially at the moment with book bans etc.
Overall it was such a great book, I have to remove a star for the break up but other than that, I enjoyed it a lot.
I looved the epilogue and the bonus chapters so so much!!

The good thing though, it was still interesting, they didn't just deal with heartbreak, which made it more interesting.
I like that the author chose to talk a little bit about the injustices queer people face, especially at the moment with book bans etc.
Overall it was such a great book, I have to remove a star for the break up but other than that, I enjoyed it a lot.
I looved the epilogue and the bonus chapters so so much!!

3.5/5.0 This was a sweet small-town romance featuring a single dad and his kid’s teacher. The characters had great chemistry but the relationship developed fairly quickly and the drama about dating a parent of a student was talked about but it didn’t really seem to be a problem. There was also the drama with the discovery of Marc being a sex worker. I couldn’t understand why it was considered such a big deal by people in the community that a random parent of a student was a sex worker. I have no idea what the parents at my kid’s school did for a living and I really don’t care either. Marc was the more well-written character. He was more fleshed out compared to Kendall so I was more invested in his story over Kendall’s. The fallout of Marc’s work being revealed was upsetting and I liked the way it was handled. Kendall had some drama with a coworker that could have been handled with a real quick trip to HR but instead popped up at random times to give some angst to the story. I loved the ending of the book. The last few chapters had great story elements and I enjoyed seeing all of the loose ends tied up and seeing the long term happiness of Marc and Kendall laid out.

This was my first time reading anything by this author, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The story follows Marc, who moves to the small town of Blanco Springs after his divorce, hoping to build a better life for his daughter. He meets Ken, the local kindergarten teacher. To Ken's suprise, Marc is his online infatuation. The chemistry between them builds quickly, and it was both sweet and exciting to see how their relationship unfolded.
The small-town gossip mill and everyday drama added a charming layer to the story. However, I felt Marc could have taken some responsibility for his secret—he should have trusted Ken enough to be honest. That added conflict felt a bit frustrating, but it didn’t detract from the overall enjoyment of the book.
This romance had its emotional moments, and I found myself with a lump in my throat more than once. It's definitely one of those feel-good reads, and I’ll be looking for more from this author in the future!

If you go into this wanting a nice romantic story then you will really like this book. It's a sweet, small town, romance with a twist.
I wanted to like this book as I am a huge fan of the single dad trope and I've never read one where the male MC is a sex worker so I was intrigued. Unfortunately there just wasn't enough spice to meet my expectations for the story of an online sex show star. The potential was there as the chemistry between Marc and Ken before they get together is steamy and the fantasy scenes as well as cam scenes are pretty hot but when our characters get together the scenes felt a bit too vanilla.

Small town romance
Teacher Ken and camboy Marc's story was quite sweet really, with subscriber Ken shocked to see the object of his fantasies in his small town school, enrolling his daughter.
I liked them as characters but I wanted Marc to hold his head up high as he was providing for his daughter the only way he could in the circumstances. I also thought it was sad that while Marc was keeping 'Magic Marco' a secret from Ken, he didn't appreciate Ken keeping quiet about knowing Marc's online persona and being a subscriber. They were a long way into their relationship by then and it smacked of double standards.
The story kept me reading and I liked the characters of Mia, Stella and Principal Hawkins. I would have liked a further epilogue, as I was very happy with the HEA Argentina gave them and would have loved to see theeir little family maybe five or ten years down the line.

Choices, good story! Ken, is a kindergarten teacher who likes to watch his crush Magic Margo a camboy video star. Big shock when he arrives at his class as Marc with his daughter Mia. Mia, has epilepsy and needs monitoring to keep her safe. Marc is an amazing Dad who makes decisions and choices based on his love, caring and protection of Mia. Delicious story of choices, sacrifices, homophobia by town members and trust. Great friends and family. Good characters and support structures. There are a few misunderstandings, trust issues and sacrifices. Mia is an absolute delight. The author has done a fantastic job bringing us into prejudices and homophobia and how small towns deal with the unexpected and surprises. Good story, nicely done! I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This book was very sweet and just wholesome. Mia is an important part of the story and a main component of Marc’s decision making. I didn’t really like the conflict of the story, or rather how Marc reacted to it. He blew up and just left Ken on his own. I understand the feelings he had but like, he hid it from Ken too, so it was kind of hypocritical. Also I wish that Marc was less ashamed of his past. He did what he needed to support himself and Mia, but he thinks no negatively about it and the viewers he had. I understand wanting to keep it a secret for Mia’s sake and from the small town, but he wasn’t hurting anyone, just trying to support his family! We don’t shame sex workers here lol overall good, sweet story!

I'm not sure why, but I thought this book would be funny or extremely hot. It was neither.
Instead, it was on the heavier side.
I wouldn't have minded it, but some things annoyed me.
It started with an Insta connection and went downhill from there. Both sides kept a secret, but only Ken was to blame when it came out. It wasn't even mentioned that Marc also kept it a secret. It became a bit repetitive after that and drowned out without sufficient reason.
Also, the side characters were plain and it's a shame since they had good potential to pick up the story's vibes.
Overall, it was fine but not what I expected.

Good execution of one of my favorite tropes👍
I love a good single dad romance, especially one where the dad's love interest connects instantly with his child. Here, kindergarten teacher Ken no sooner meets his happy new student Mia than he is totally besotted with both her and handsome, struggling single dad Marc aka Magic Marco.
There was plenty of steam, but it was nicely staggered with Mia's cuteness and Marc and Ken's gentle care and concern for Mia's best interests and happiness. Just enough drama to give it a little edge. Altogether a good read.

I was excited to read this story as I haven’t read any other with a similar premise. This is a fairly well written book with some lovely characters in Ken, Stella, Principal Hawkins and little Mia however, Marc himself reeked of double standards and I found him to be a bit of a hypocrite. ** SPOILER ALERT ** Yes, Ken kept secret the fact that he knew who Marc was but, similarly, Marc kept secret the fact that he was Magic Marco and never once was this addressed. He was just too busy being ashamed of what he did to put food on the table. All in all though, a good story but with some issues for this reader.

I liked a lot about Magic Marco, in particular it has two genuinely lovely main characters at its center. Marc and Ken are good together and with Marc’s daughter Mia, they build a wonderful family for themselves. I would have loved to focus on them more, because the combination of the three of them was pretty amazing. I’ve read a bunch of romance books featuring cam boys and this one is unique in how the author deals with Marc’s guilt and inner turmoil over his side job. This added a nice layer to the plot, I was really rooting for Marc to be proud of making sure his daughter has everything she needs. Ken was also an excellent character, seeing his skill and care with his kindergarten class was sweet. I didn’t love the drama at the school or the late break up, but the characters were likable and well developed.

Ken, Marc and Mia deserve all the happiness they can get, but there are some rough times before they get there. The author has done a wonderful job of highlighting and making personal the complications of having a relationship with the parent of a student and of the current climate in education today where teachers are nervous about their jobs for so many reasons. Then, there's the extra complication of Marc's Magic Marco online persona that Ken is a huge fan of, but Marc doesn't know that. All the secrets and the small town setting kept me on the edge of my seat while enjoying the wonderful family developing.

Ken and Marc were sweet together. The love they shared and their love for Mia made this a standout. Great supportive secondaries. Good worldbuilding. Blanco Springs Texas was an enjoyable place to visit. Good allies. A lovely community, small towny and gossipy. The storyline was just a little predictable. It was obvious who the 'villain' of the piece was and how Marc's secret was going to be revealed. .
This was my first Argentina Ryder book and I found it the perfect lite and sweet afternoon read. There's a bit of spice and a bit of naughtiness between Marc and Ken. Just a tinge of angst.

This was a sweet small town romance featuring a single parent the relationship between Marc, Ken and Mia was so sweet they really truly felt like a family. However I didn’t really click with this book I hated how much Marc looked down on his sex work and the people that choose to watch it. I also found the whole money issue confusing the whole reason he was doing sex work was because he couldn’t pay for Mia’s healthcare but then at the end of the book Marc had enough money to just take on a random child and talk about buying a bigger house ??? The drama at the school between Ken and the homophobia teacher felt unresolved she basically committed a crime and it just got kinda ignored. Overall it was a cute story just not really for me.

Had a lot of potential, but something was off. If you do what you have to do to put food on the table and keep the electricity on hold your head high with pride. I understand Marc was embarrassed by what he had to do, but leaving Ken behind in San Antonio was a crappy thing to do. Good thing Stella had Ken's back. Actually, Marc should have thanked Ken for being a Platinum member, he paid a lot of Marc's bills. Nancy was over the top and her character was never resolved.

I loved it! Seriously! Made me cry. So much to unwrap here. I'm a retired GAY elementary special education teacher and lost my job because the new male principal needed a "paradigm shift" in our delivery model. The conservative take overs of our school boards is real, especially here in Wisconsin. Okay, I'm off my soap box.

It's a heartwarming book between an adult site actor and an kindergarten teacher. I know, what the heck, right? But it all works! The two come together to make a darling and steamy couple. And it is steamy! You'll fall in love with Mia. She's a sweetheart! The imagery is vividly spectacular and the characters are wonderful and likeable. I enjoyed reading this immensely and I heartily recommend it.

Of course it's in the small town he moves to where someone who is a VIP viewer that recognizes Magic Marco. He's really just a struggling single dad trying for a new start. He has to make a choice on whether he can forgive Liam for not mentioning it or leaving for another new start. There are a number of secondary characters in this story who play key roles, some good and some really bad and smiteful. I really enjoyed this story!!
