41 books140 followersGrowing up in New York when I was a kid, I used to haunt the science fiction and fantasy bookstore in Yonkers, searching for the epic fantasy stories that I loved to read. When I exhausted all my options, I started writing my own stories, never realizing that one day I would publish them.
As you read my stories, you’ll notice certain themes and I like to carry them over from one book to the next. I always include adventure, humor, a few twists, a bunch of fights (magic and steel), and a little romance, along with a few good monsters. But for me it always starts with engaging characters. Because without characters who grow and change as they seek to overcome the challenges placed before them, as they seek to move forward, the story can’t move forward.
In particular, I like to focus on the reluctant hero, a man or a woman not seeking glory, but rather seeking to help others and challenge the evil plaguing the world – a world that I’ve created, The Realms of the Talent and the Curse. They need to learn how to believe in themselves before they can do what’s demanded of them. A personal journey that all of us experience, often more than once in our lifetimes, from lack of belief to belief in the self.

Completely unique take on the whole King Arthur Pendragon mythology!
Okay, I read these books out of order and seem to have read the second book before this one. However, that in no way affected my enjoyment of this one. It seems that Axel Draig did his best to appear dead and settled in Kraken Cove, along with a lot of the other Teg he managed to save him from his father’s wrath. See, Axel, or Draig as he prefers to be called, always believes in doing the right thing and the more he worked for his father, the more he realized his father was not doing the right thing. This was all brought to light in this, the first of The Fallen Knight Series books. There’s plenty of action and fighting in this story. I really enjoyed the introduction to the Berserkers and I really love Butch, Cassidy and Sundance. The writing of this story is excellent and just fits so well with the action and plot. All the characters are engaging and I really felt pulled into the story from the very beginning until the very last word.
I received an advanced reader’s copy and am voluntarily leaving this review.

In this first full story (there is a short story - The Death of the Dragon, but you have to go to Peter's website and download it!!) of The Fallen Knight Series, the reader is introduced to the main characters and plot of the series. The main protagonist is Axel Draig, son of Author Pendragon. The story starts with Melissa (a witch) breaking into a remote castle to steal a magical artifact (which Axel had hidden!). Throughout the book there are various actions scenes containing magic, magical creatures, and old fashioned hand-to-hand combat! The story line is very captivating and draws the reader into the story. I totally enjoyed the book and look forward to the next story in the series. As stated in the headline, this is an unique twist on the Pendragon story. Have fun reading.

A fantastic start to a new series by Peter Wacht. Melissa, a Teg theif, hides out in Kracken Cove where Daig, the son of Arthur Pendragon, is living as a baker after faking his death. Melissa brings trouble to Kracken Cove after pulling off a heist. The characters are strong,well defined and even pack humor in their dialogue. There is plenty of action, twists, turns and a few surprises along the way. And the world building is so amazing it pulls you right into the story and keeps you there. I absolutely enjoyed reading this book! An absolute must read!

Mr. Wacht at his best!
I have read a fair bit of Peter Wacht over the years and he never fails to deliver a great story. This is no exception.
I read this and now I'm so invested I have to keep going.
As always, the characters are deep and believable, the premise is wonderful, and, best of all, there's plenty of M&M (Magic and Mayhem)!
You won't want to miss this one!

Modern take on old characters with some enhancements.
You had to die to escape but now your secret is out. All done because you always do what is right. Young witch brings about the change stealing a powerful artifact. What is next?
