The twisted reign of a deranged serial killer threatens the low-country of South Carolina. Amid sweet magnolias, giant live oaks and ocean breezes, he stalks the heart of a close-knit family circle, seeking vengeance for his dead brother.
FBI agent Jeri Forbes and Interpol’s Ethan Barnes are all too familiar with the madman’s mission of terror. Together, they tracked him through the bayous of Louisiana, barely escaping with their lives.
As Anson brings the game to Charleston, Jeri and Ethan team up with old friends in an effort to catch the killer. Old friends become new targets for Anson’s revenge; no one is safe from retribution.
Raised in the foothills of the mystical Blue Ridge Mountains, I attribute my love of beautiful landscapes, and fascination with all things paranormal, to my environment. The settings and characters in my novels reflect my appreciation for natural beauty, as well as a desire to explore the what-if’s of things unseen. Throw in a degree in Psychology, paired with a strong interest in the workings of the criminally insane mind, and you have a breeding ground for a psychological thriller.
Becoming an author was not a conscious decision; I've always been a writer. Channeling a passion for story-telling into my livelihood required a giant leap of faith, one that I'll never regret as I truly love what I do.
When I'm not writing, I enjoy antiquing, bead-weaving and sharing time with my incredible daughter and our two spoiled-rotten cats.
I've read these first 4 books in less than a week! I'm about to order the 5th. Very engaging characters, makes you really want to know what's going to happen to them. I will definitely go back and read the earlier books also. Really excellent books!!

As has been the case with Momma Says Read I’ve had my horizons opened up reading outside of my typical genre. I was very surprised at how much I apparently enjoy Psychological Thrillers or at least this one! Anson by Tallulah Grace is quite the nail biter.
Anson is the follow up to the Bayou Butcher, which I have not read – YET. Grace does a great job of making this book stand on its own. I didn’t feel like I was lacking any particular knowledge not having read the first in the series. However, I do know that I am interested in reading the first story as well, but not for insight on the second book, but because I believe the story will be entertaining.
There were a few pacing issues here and there, which is a good thing because otherwise the kids may have gone hungry the day I was reading it. I look at them as “commercial breaks”. The majority of the book was a “can’t put it down” kind of ride. And while I was reading the book outside at night on the deck, I did find myself being creeped out just a bit – it’s scary. Not “Jason” scary, but “oh my goodness this could actually happen” scary.
If thrillers and suspense are your thing, I recommend you read it. It is well written and riveting.
I liked this sequel to the "Bayou Butcher" but not as much as I was expecting...
Tallulah Grace used some psychic phenomena in this story, which in itself is great, but not fully exploited in the story. Some members of the FBI crew have premonitions or dream of events to come, but I would have liked to read more on those psychic abilities. Telepathy for one thing could have been developed between some of the persona...
Nonetheless, the intrigue is great and you will want to read the whole thing without dropping the book (or e-reader, should I say.) Anson is the madman Jeri and Ethan want to catch at all costs and their close friends are being menaced by the serial killer, who once again is using an assistant. The bozo enjoys killing innocent people in order to add to his collection of body parts! But after he notices how beautiful Jeri is, assistant James begins to dream of having the FBI agent to himself!
If you enjoyed the first two of the trilogy, you will also love this third book.
I started this book with high hopes of resolution to some of the problems that had been occurring in all the previous books. Some of them were, and of course some of them weren't. Just enough were settled to keep me hooked and still looking for more., When I closed the cover on Anson I was ready to get started on the Collector. I hope Ms. Grace is writing diligently because I'll have to find to read as quickly as I did her. Thank you for a very enjoyable ride.
Enjoyed the final (to-date) book in the series. It did a good job of wrapping up a lot of loose ends for the different characters. With that said, I'm hoping that there will be more to come with these same characters as I've grown quite fond of them and would love to hear more of their stories :)
