There's no escape...

After her sister’s sudden disappearance, PI Bridget "Birdie" Hartley found herself in the most dangerous storm of her life. To get away from the darkness, Birdie checks into the Happy Camper Cabin. A place full of happy childhood memories, here she hopes to find answers and healing.

Unfortunately, the peace she had hoped for was all but fleeting.

With the cabin next door causing a ruckus and disturbance. Birdie heads there to put an end to the madness. But, it seems the cabin's occupants have mysteriously disappeared.

And to add more chaos to the situation, a huge storm leaves the Happy Campers stranded. Things only go from bad to worse when the bodies of the missing campers are found.

With a murderer on the loose, a storm that can’t be tamed, and a big pool of suspects, it's only a matter of time before another body lands on Birdie’s doorstep.

Doom, gloom, drugs, death, murders, kidnappings, and everything in between. The monster of Serenity Springs has been unleashed, and there’s no escaping it.

This was an excellent, ‘holding your breath’ type of book, not knowing what was going to happen or who the ‘bad guy’ really was going to be. This book was sooo much better than the 2nd book. I enjoyed getting to know Birdie in Book 1, did not care for book 2: not Birdie, but the characters of Tina and Luna. They did not fit in with my idea of Birdie and her sister Ada, who is still missing. This book showed Birdie’s growth as an investigator and how intuitive she is. I look forward to book 4 and hope she’ll find her sister.

So this is book 3

Don't think this is just the same old same old. It's the third book and it is going to be it's own story. I mean you are going to a completely different setting and lots of new characters. So buckle up. It's a heck of a night and I'm not sure how I feel about it yet.

Disappointed

I could not believe Birdie would bring money to potential kidnapper without notifying the police or FBI. Then she goes straight to an old campground to get away from life for a while when she is clearly a target and in need of a hospital. I just don't get it. Lots of bad decisions in this book. Hard to read.

The Girl in the Cabin

Very gripping plot, that will make you want to continue reading without stopping. The characters are so realistic it is almost as if you know them. I can't wait for the next book to be released.

Not the ending in many ways that I saw coming. I will never will be going to Happy Campers cabins in the future.
Creepy cabins, trap doors no thanks.

Birdie needs to give Dominic a chance. I was really hoping that we would learn more about Ada. You gotta give us some updates on Ada.

so many bad actors in this!!!

After Birdie’s abortive effort to rescue her sister, gone horribly awry, she finds herself at a campground containing happier memories for her - until one cabin keeps almost everyone awake overnight, and peculiar events pile up.

Dragging on again

Still no resolution about her sister just another totally different mystery. The story is good, intriguing actually, but why can't you finish one book before beginning another? It will not keep me coming back. I am done.

Who Is Guilty

An interesting story. Complex with questions about what was happening and where were the answers. The individuals involved all had issues they were trying to solve. In the end it came down to one individual who was responsible with the problems.

where is Ava?

I’m continuing the series because where is Ava? Pregnant woman from a wealthy family goes missing and her sister goes on a vacay? I don’t think so. Drug out way too long but I’m still reading.

I really enjoyed the book until it ended abruptly. Birdie goes to the cabin she visited as a child, there’s a murder and she tries to solve it. Unanswered questions about her missing sister and her boyfriend relationship. I like books to be stand alone and tie up loose ends.

Going back is not always good!

Wow! This story takes you to places that are totally unpredictable. The characters are good and bad but you can't tell which ones are which. This book has so many twists and turns, hold onto your seat!
