This is a free flash fiction story entitled "Valentine", by Greg Jackson, author of Athena Rising, The MacGuffin Files, Mistletoe and Flash Fiction Freakshow.
It is a stand-alone piece of flash fiction, not associated with Freakshow and it celebrates the innocence of love and the power of the first kiss.
“Flash fiction is a fictional work of extreme brevity that still offers character and plot development” - from Wikipedia.
Despite this ebook being only about 3 or so pages long on the Kobo app, I actually really enjoyed this. It got to the point but there was still decent character development and the story was also developed very well.
It’s about a cheerleader and a young lad who is friends with everyone and nobody at the same time (he’s the type of kid who gets along with all, despite not being part of a high school group like the jocks, the nerds etc). Don’t want to say much more as I don’t wish to spoil it for anyone who wants to check it out.
