Forever Green: The History and Hope of the American Forest

Rate this book
Since 1980, one of the country's most acclaimed rock/blues pianists has developed into one of our most respected conservationists and tree farmers as well. Over the last two decades, Chuck Leavell and his wife Rose Lane have transformed Charlane Plantation in middle Georgia into a textbook tree-farming enterprise - and in the process Leavell has become a nationally recognized spokesman on behalf of America's forests.

Mr. Leavell is a dedicated conservationist though most people know him as the virtuoso keyboard player from The Rolling Stones, The Allman Brothers, and his band, Sea Level. Cannot say enough good things about him and his book. We need to listen and heed what he has to say.

Skimmed most of it but it’s a genuinely good introduction to the world of sustainable silviculture.
