This book makes a great reference tool for those in networking field, or as study companion for students who are still learning about networking. I am so, so, so grateful that I found it during the last KL book fest. It is such a dream comes true! It complements my CCNA Guide to Networking textbook.

This one does not cover as many topics as "CCNA Guide to Networking" does, but if you are looking for a reference book that will help improve and upgrade your understanding in networking, then Network Fundamentals is the right answer. It focuses more in OSI reference model and TCP/IP model, elaborating each layer concisely.

With higher readability (simple language even for non-techie students, plus cleaner layout and typeface), this is by far the best reference book I've ever had.

Good introduction to computer networking using the OSI and TCP/IP models. Also gives a basic run down of Cisco router configuration.
