As a cardiologist, I grew tired of constantly seeing new health books full of medical jargon that distort scientific data for the sake of popularity. These lengthy and often misleading books do more harm than good. So, I decided to step in and write books on healthy living that provide clear, unbiased scientific information and practical, everyday advice—without complicated terms that are hard to pronounce.
Since diet is such a vast topic, I devoted an entire book to it, inspired by an Egyptian proverb: “Humans live on one-quarter of what they eat; on the other three-quarters lives their doctor.” This book, titled One Quarter, covers healthy eating, weight loss, popular diets, and supplements.
For other important topics related to longevity, I turned to Leonardo da Vinci's observations on heart anatomy as my inspiration. These are discussed in my second book, titled An Enjoyable, Evidence-Based Journey to Longer Life: Can One Explain the Whole Heart Without Filling a Huge Book.
Drawing on my personal interest in history, I also included engaging historical stories and observations to make the reading experience far from the usual dry style of health books. How might Leonardo da Vinci have hinted at the cause of Mona Lisa’s death in his painting? Why would a queen pay a visit to a turtle? If you'd like to explore these intriguing stories along with accurate, science-backed health advice, you can read my books for free on Kindle Unlimited.
