What happened to Sarah Gaunt? First time I saw her, she was Xavier's girlfriend, that one that wasn't Moira or Haller. Now, she's a lanky, emaciated, with steel claw fingers, and just being a bayou bogeyman.
This arc continues to be so good, that I know I will regret dropping this series. In view of the bad economy and rising cost of comic books, it was choice between this and Ultimate X-Men By Peach Momoko . It was a hard decision, but I ultimately could afford only one X-Men book.
I loved the tension in this issue. A lot of angles people are going by, I don’t know what the intentions are. I love the mystery behind Sarah’s character, and I love how we are spoon fed why she acts in the ways she does. A whole Halloween horror movie vibe with good action scene and visceral injuries.
I’m surprised by how gripping this issue was when you can’t help but think Sarah is not the worst threat they’ve faced, but she continues to be intriguing.
