This is a good introduction to Detective inspector Laura Warburton. Her job today is to visit a house, Willow Farm. The smell hits Laura and her team before she gets to the door so you know it'll be bad! I can't imagine seeing and smelling something like that! Would definitely stay with you, in your thoughts.
I don't like Ron, but obviously, you aren't meant to like him, but I do wonder where laura and Ron's story will go! What is his motive? Did he drug her? Why is he so aggressive, calm one minute then blows up the next?! Scary stuff! I have a feeling, although young, Laura can stand up for herself and can sort him out.
I am looking forward to seeing laura's story and career progress through the series.
