This is a great tale of wagon train to Oregon. Nate is the Wagon Master and he runs a tight hold on his wagons and their families. Amelia a young orphan is employed by a sleezie man that wants more than she is willing to give. He sets her up saying she is embezzling money from the orphans home and the sheriff takes her in for questioning. Being you and not knowledgeable in the ways of these things, she runs. She cons her way on to the wagon train. You will enjoy all of the adventure and excitement they encounter along the trail. Nate comes to her rescue several times along the way. You will enjoy discovering how they find their happily ever after. Wagon trains to the west tale are among my favorites to read and this is certainly a winner.
This was such a wonderfully written, exciting read about the wagon trains' journey on the Oregon Trail. Nathaniel Clark, captain of the wagon train, becomes smitten with Mary. Mary has secrets she kept from everyone on the train.
The story has a lot of wonderful moments. The wagon train was more of a community where they all cared for each other. I loved that the Christian element was woven throughout the story. There were also a lot of terrifying and dangerous moments that had me holding my breath. I wondered how everything would turn out.
The story has Christian love, betrayal, lies, but also forgiveness.
This is a nice and sweet romance to read. Money is stolen and a woman is accused of steeling it. The sheriff says to leave because he does not think she did it. So where does she go, out West. So she joined a wagon train under a false name, false story, just to get on the wagon train. Now the wagon master knows something is not right with her yet he goes ahead with the wagon train. This is a very enjoyable read that is written by Olivia Haywood. She has written this book very well.
