4⭐️ ARC REVIEW: wow all i can say is wow this book was equally as good as the first if not better!! I cant say much without spoiling it for you and in my opinion i think after reading the first you should go into this one blind.
It follows the character lorelai and her trauma with atticus and also her job within the WIA who are trying to track down atticus. Please do check triggers as this one has some topics in it that people might be sensitive too but it was such a quick read i absolutely devoured this book in less than 2 hours. It does end on a cliffhanger so im now so ready for book 3. Please read book 1 (wounded wing) before reading this one to get a better understanding of the characters. Even tho this book follows a different FMC the characters from book 1 are still heavily involved in this one.

This was so freaking good. I’d advise you to read book 1 wounded wing first before this one so you won’t be lost and get a better understanding of what is happening! This book also leaves on a cliffy so that’s the only thing I’m going to leave you with. I hope you picked us up and read it. I would also check the trigger warnings before hand as well….. but this book is so good and I cannot wait for Book 3

While this book is a continuation of Wounded Wing, it is also a beginning because we are introduced to new characters. We are also fully thrown into the World Intelligence Agency!
Broken Promise introduces us to Lai, who has a heartbreaking and traumatic past. She suffered at the hands of the devil, Atticus Lennon, but she escaped and has become so strong. I can’t wait to see what the rest of the series has in store for her. The cliffhanger in this book though…. It’s a big one! For being a novella there was so much packed into this book, and I loved every moment of it. It’s really a quick read.
Please remember to check the triggers. H.B. Cliffy really puts the DARK in dark romance. She writes men that are unhinged, irredeemable, and morally black. But they make us swoon and we love them anyways.

When H.B. warns a cliffhanger, just know you're going to be pushed off the cliff—parachute or not.
I am obsessed with this book! There is an untraditional approach to the storytelling that shines throughout. It's different—and it works! The number of clues hidden within the first book left me curious about what could happen in the second, and I wasn't disappointed.
While I can’t say much plot wise, Broken Promise is an introduction, but also a sequel to Wounded Wing—the introduction to the WIA-verse. (It is imperative to read the first book, where reoccurring characters are introduced.)
The spice level is lower than I'd usually read, but it only makes me want to read the next book ASAP to see how the dynamic will unfold.

First, I would like to thank H.B. Cliffy for sending me an ARC for Broken Promise 🥹! It took me 51 minutes to finish reading this book and I’m so grateful. We were introduced to Lorelai in Wounded Wing when she offered to help my baby Mae. Now knowing that Mae has escaped Atticus is so important because we all know that he’s freaking crazy and unhinged.
But I absolutely love Lorelai, and she’s amazing. I can tell she’s going to be such a good character. Her and my poor baby Mae have lots of trauma, it’s really messed up but I hope they do get their “happy” endings. It’s also crazy how Lorelai knew Alexis (he’s my fav ahah), I was like ouuu girl you got connections.
But yeah, I absolutely loved this book and I hope if you read it, you’ll love it as much as I do.

I really enjoyed the second book that even after months of waiting I was ready to pick this one up! It really brought the characters stories to light after the first book and the ending left me literally saying "wait, what?" out loud.
Lorelai has been through hell and back, she saw the devil and she is ready for revenge. Her story is heartbreaking and can only wait for the next book to see what happens!

I really enjoyed this series so far. You have to absolutley read them back to back. Lol. But I can't cause they aren't out yet. This seems like it's more of a prequel than the main series. It's a must read or you will be lost. I'm loving the gentle giant.

Lorelai has been through it! Her story is packed with emotional scenes and trauma that she works to overcome each time.

A short novella that held my attention from page one. It ends on a cliffhanger which immediately had me frantically flipping back & forth between the pages looking for the next book. It’s not out yet & it’s not fair. It’s mostly plot driven, sprinkled with a lil spice. I can’t wait for book 3

I flew through this novella, I could not put it down. Lorelai is such a badass and she was not going to give up. The cliffhanger ending left me needing and wanting more!

Thank you H.B. Cliffy for the ARC!! This book was another short read but did not skip out on the action. I loved getting to meet some of the rest of the team involved in this agency. Getting to see their point on views on how things worked as well as a little back story. Cannot wait for Book 3!
