My first story by Rowen Chant, I really enjoyed this book. The world building was great, and I found myself invested in the MCs, hoping that they would hurry and get around to accepting the bond. The fact that mates were rare in the story was really nice, and that people revered them. I loved Cela and Briteus together, and that he was patient with her no matter how much he knew that he wanted to be with her and complete the mate bond. I loved that he gave her choices and options throughout the story, and that their love grew from that despite the bond reinforcing it.

This book was full of great characters, world building, spice, and action. If you are looking for a romantasy with everything, this is the one.

I have been waiting to read this book since I got it last year, so I was so excited this one came up for me.
I would have to say this one stated out a little slow for me.

You have Celandine which is trying her best to make someone good out of a bad situation. She has been locked up by her husband for over a decade. Someone comes to her rescue but she didn’t think it would be her fated mate when her town gets taken over by monsters.

Briteus is a battle-hardened minotaur and trying to make things right for the people of the land.
With him coming into the picture and now that she ins FREE her magic is coming out it is a lot for celandine to handle, and she just wants to fall in love and see how it goes. This book does have a lot more then just that and about 20% in is where I really started to enjoy this one.

Both of the characters coming together, fighting off their bond. And all the magic and drama that happens along the way you really start to root for Briteus but that very ending! I love the twist that are in this book and didn’t see that coming. This author even added a little horror in her. Which I love. I really hope this author comes out with the 2nd book, cause I eat this book up. she has very interesting writing and a great imagination.

I was going to rate this a 2.5 at first, the writing could use some work or an editor. The second half of the book was much better than the first and that’s why it got bumped up. Overall, a sweet story of finding security, love and autonomy. Briteus is an angel of a man and had so much patience with Cela. Overall, it was an enjoyable read, but I did have lots of eye roll moments.

Rowan chant is a new author to me and this is my first read by them. And it won't be my last. I love reading every minute of taken by the minotaur general. I couldn't put it down once I started, I was hooked from the start.

It takes us on a wild rollercoaster ride, that has twists and turns that you don't expect. It's action packed with drama, secrets, spice, mystery and lots more. The characters, plot and storyline where wonderfully written. The world building was great.

I just loved these characters and that scene that involved her terrible husband was funny, IYKYK!! I couldn't stop laughing.

Celandine sure hasn't had it easy being trapped, living a shell off a life because off her disgusting husband. She just wants to be free. So when her kingdom is over taken and she finds out that the sexy minotaur general briteus is her mate, is this her chance to be free?

Briteus can't believe he's found his mate, and will do anything to keep her, even if that means letting her go, even if it will break his heart.

Their path ahead is uncertain and hard times are coming, but together can they withstand the storm? Grab the book and find out.

Check minotaur romantasy off the bingo card! When Lady Cela's town is invaded by outsiders, she's relieved because it means the end of her husband's control over her. The minotaur general leading the invaders is everything Cela never knew she wanted, and they give into their desires upon meeting. I love how they knew immediately that they had such a connection. Fated mates, amiright? I do think Briteus should have offed the hubby when he had the chance, but then we wouldn't have seen that jack wagon get the best ending. Cela and Briteus had a slow burn affair with endless passion and trust. I love how he was ready to lay down his life for her, even if she denied him their bond. That's how you do it, boys! The found family is strong with this one, and Cela went from having no one to having a loyal army backing her up. The magic element was a nice twist and kept the story flowing. I would definitely love to see more from this author.

I loved this book so much! The main FMC Celandine, has been locked in a tower by her maniacal husband for years. Her husband is part of a group that is trying to keep humans separated from other mystical creatures. The Minotaur General Briteus, is fighting to reunify everyone. His army invades the town where Celandine is trapped, and frees her. They discover they are fated mates, and the story progresses from there. Briteus is a perfect gentleman throughout, and everything I could ever want in a MMC. Celandine discovers she has powers, and learns how to control and use them with the support of her new found mate and friends. I highly recommended this if you are a fan of romantasy or monster romance. This is a new to me author, and I’m eager to read more of her books!

Taken by the Minotaur General was my first story from author Rowen Chant.

There were some nice spicy moments in this one. The first bit was more spicy in its content and introducing characters. The second part of the book was a lot more fantasy. We get to really delve into Celandine and all the secrets surrounding her. There was some intrigue which kept me on the edge of my seat trying to work out how everything was going to be resolved. You also get some emotional moments where you cross your fingers hoping for the best outcome.

This was a very in depth story which gives you a bit of everything in it. I really liked the mystical and fantasy aspects of the story.

Really loved this fated mates vs opposites attract in a different reality book! Cela is impossible at first to stand but at the same time every thing her husband did to her before Brutis rescues her and becomes her mate make you understand her better but from the time her fated mate finds her and rescues her she becomes such a strong woman and really finds herself with his help. I want more of this world and I want to find out what happens next with these two wonderful people who are becoming a great couple together

holy world building Batman

Well, often in smut you find books have zero story line, I’m pleased to inform you Taken by the Minotaur General is not that case.

The world building is fantastic and I haven’t looked yet but I’m praying there’s more out but this author about this world cause I NEED more.

It’s so well written and planned and spicy! I can’t say enough about the maturity and depth of the characters. Overall it felt like a childhood bedtime story all grown up, it was such a magical and heartfelt story!
