I received a copy of this book for free from the publisher (Chronicle Books) for promotional purposes.

What a fun (and informative) little astrology book!

I am a huge astrology nerd, so naturally I was very excited for this one.

I loved that the book opened up with a short introduction into astrology and briefly explained birth charts and houses (although the graphic for the houses has an error on the numbering).

The author really knows her stuff. When describing astrology she writes, “I like to think of it as people-watching combined with philosophy. And once you embrace it, it becomes a lens through which you look at everything” (pg. 9). I wholeheartedly agree and that’s how I see astrology too. I use it as a guide to understanding people. The author is spot on with her observations on the signs. She mentions that Tauruses love to say no, and as a Taurus myself, I can confirm that is very true.

As for the graphs themselves, they are so fun and easy to digest. They are in the same vein as many astrology memes you find online. If you love those, then you’ll love the graphs. Some of the topics of the graphs include the signs’ hierarchy of needs, daily checklist, monthly budget, and dating profile. My personal favorite were the graphs on how each sign falls in love.

Lastly, I loved that the book ends with a short conclusion. My biggest pet peeve in nonfiction is when the book just ends. I appreciated the short wrap up.

Overall, if you’re looking to get more into astrology, definitely check this one out. It is very beginner friendly. It would also make a great gift!

Astrolographs is an absolute gem: charming, smart, and visually stunning. The author manages to make astrology feel approachable without dumbing it down, blending humor with genuinely insightful charts that had me laughing and learning.

I especially appreciated the thoughtful layout, which guides you on which planet to reference in each section. It’s such a clever way to make the content more personal and meaningful, even for astrology newbies.

Perfect as a coffee table book or a fun party conversation starter, but also surprisingly educational. Light, witty, and beautifully designed.

I wasn't even looking for a new astrology book when I stumbled upon Julia Topaz's Astrolographs at the library, but I knew immediately I had to own it.

This colorful hardcover is an absolute joy. It's packed with fun cartoons and breaks down the essentials into simple, bite-sized bits. It makes learning astrology feel so approachable and fun, and it's already a go-to for me.

I'm giving this a solid four stars because while it’s a total gem for its beauty and accessibility, it's a little simpler than I would have liked. I really wish it went a bit deeper into the complexities of the Zodiac Houses, but that's just a personal wish. Overall, it's a fantastic read and a must-have for any astrology lover's shelf.

Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with an early copy of this book.

This book is a beautiful with vivid infographics and clear explanations. I love that there was a chart at the beginning explaining "Important" planets and where to use them in the book. I loved that with each new section, the author said which planet's sign to look at in order to understand what information was being conveyed. It was the first time I had seen this laid out in such a simple and effective way that I'm starting to understand some of my planetary placements.

Overall, it's fun and quick, doesn't go too in-depth with astrology but a lot more than a quick hororscope read.

A super fun astrology book exploring various aspects of life through graphs. Julia Topaz has created an easy to read and understand guide to understanding ourselves and others through the lens of the twelve signs of the zodiac. While much of the content is meant to be humorous, it is obvious the author put a lot of thought and care into the creation of the graphs. I particularly appreciate the digging dipper option on each graph. Thank you to the author, Chronicle Books, and NetGalley for the eARC.

Although "Astrolographs" is a light and playful book, I found a lot of new insight into astrology and the types of personalities that tend to shine through. The introduction to Astrology was informative and thought-provoking, even if it didn't dive too deeply into the subject. It definitely gave me a jumping off point to want to learn more about the subject.

The graphs were well-designed and gave me a good laugh. They are divided up into different topics and shows off facets of each sun sign, but the additional info also showed us how to connect them to other aspects, such as our rising sign and so on. It was a nifty read!

Thanks to NetGalley for providing me with an ARC of this book.

Thank you to Chronicle, and Netgalley for the digital arc.
Most astrology books are filled with times and dates for planetary positions at the time of one's birth. With all the symbols it can get pretty tedious, and very confusing. “Astrolographs” solves that problem. Via bright graphs and charts, information is displayed on dating, fitness, finance, and other habits. Presentation is light and entertaining and will appeal to all.
