A vengeful murder charge. A corrupt justice system. And a circus coming apart at the red-and-white-striped seams.
I'm determined to help Logan find freedom, the same way he helped me. Except his personal demons come out to play in the lonely prison cell. Even if I manage to get him back, he may not be the same man I ran away with.
Secrets surface. Loyalties break. How can love stand a chance?
BLACK SHEEP is the gripping conclusion to the Smoke and Mirrors trilogy. Running away to the circus has never been this dangerous...
Black Sheep had all the drama and suspense that’s been building from the beginning of Sienna and Logan’s story. With Logan in prison for a crime he didn’t commit,Sienna is desperate to make sure he gets out, safely. But the town’s sheriff is corrupt, and determined to show Logan he’s at his mercy….. Sienna knows Kyle is behind it all, because Logan showed him he didn’t “appreciate” his treatment of Sienna. And Kyle’s uncle is a man of power….but does he have enough? Sienna knows public opinion is a way to change people’s minds, and her bestie Maisie has just the tool to do it. But can they convince Logan’s family, the people of the circus,to go along with it? Not just for Logan, but to save the circus, too?
Things seem hopeless for Logan, but all’s not lost…..and not just because the circus’s lawyer is very good, but because Cat has an ace up her sleeve. Only, when Logan is released, and cleared of the charges against him,he’s determined to step away. Not just from the circus, but Sienna too…..even though she did everything she could to show him his future lies with all of them. That in spite of everything the circus is thriving, and they all still need him to be complete.
There were moments i despaired, moments i wanted to hit people,as well as moments that made me smile. And in the end,Logan and Sienna left me with a happy heart, knowing all was well again.
The pain and angst of this story radiates off the pages! While everything feels desolate and hopeless, that spark refuses to be extinguished, that with enough oomph, these troubles can be overcome. Desperate measures aren’t needed though, and things do eventually come together, with a little help, and some of the same underhandedness that has been used against them. This was a most satisfying conclusion that fit our characters and their story so well <3
Her words are a poem. This author writes with such beauty and sensitivity. I never grow tired.
Black Sheep is the finale to a very exciting and turbulent trilogy about circus life, prejudice, love against all odds and loyalty to the end.
I was all in for the circus theme from the start, and this final book is poignant to say the least.
Steeped in despair and hope, cruelty and unfathomable love. Very beautiful in writing and in message. Sienna funnels strength from her unending love for Logan, though he is going through an excruciating crucible of body and soul. Sometimes it was hard to witness. Yet it also felt soaring because of the magnificent inspiration that Sienna draws from her ordeal and her bonding with the circus life and people, which translates into a wonderful idea that made me excited and happy. Bravo.
Expect dark times, plenty of passion. Also, a journey of spirit against the injustice of bad people and the demons that haunt you in your deepest core.
The only things I didn't like too much were some repetitive sentences and a certain transition of Logan's between his well of anguish and the exorcism of his demons. I didn't see how he went from one place to another in order to reach Sienna's love again. Despite those things, the book is a must and it feels emotional, intense and rooted in life-like experience. I particularly enjoyed the appearance of other characters from books I read and enjoyed too, and also the part of Sienna's mother. Her role speaks of darkness, yet it brings a singular brightness to the story as well.
This is the final piece of Logan and Sienna’s story and trust me it is tense, gripping, dramatic, twisty and emotional. Lay in supplies and settle in because this is one captivating, breath stealing, edge of your seat, bumpy ride.
I really enjoyed the book and the conclusion of this trilogy. However, I deducted two stars because there are many inconsistencies in this novel and a few elements that could have been flushed out more. For instance, the blurb for Black Sheep mentions that there is “a vengeful murder charge”. At the end of book 2, the vengeful murder charge is in regard to a death of one particular person. However, in book 3 that charge is in regard to the death of a completely different person. So the entire story is focusing around him being charged with the murder of a different character. I actually had to go back and read the final chapter of book 2 twice to make sure I didn’t misread it. It’s almost as though the author forgot exactly how her previous book ended? Still, I do like this author’s writing style, and I do like how everything unfolded.
Black Sheep by Skye Warren is the third book in the Smoke and Mirrors Series, this book is the conclusion of the trilogy. We resume the story of Sienna and the people of the circus waiting for Logan to be released from prison for a crime he did not commit, while she faces the gossip and accusations of the townspeople of Forrester, but she is determined to show them that neither, she nor the people at the circus, are what they point out to them, but they deserve to be respected for who they are and for their hard work. At the same time, locked up Logan is fighting his inner demons and when they manage to free him he may not be the same. But Sienna has now found her inner strength and is determined to save Logan not only from prison but from himself so both can find their happy ending. I couldn't wish for a better ending to a series that captivated me from its first book. In this story we return to the wonderful world of the circus and its wonderful characters, adding to this we have twists and turns that will have you trapped in the story, with suspense, betrayal, drama, angst, injustices, corruption, but also family, friends, loyalty and above all love. Definitely a great ending that will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout its entirety. Once I started reading it I couldn't stop. I will be very attentive to what this author brings us in the future. Totally, Absolutely and Completely Highly Recommended! *Thanks to Skye Warren and Valentine PR & Literary Management for my ARC. I voluntarily leave my honest review*
¡Total, Absoluta y Completamente Altamente Recomendada! *Gracias a Skye Warren y a Valentine PR & Literary Management por mi ARC. Dejo voluntariamente mi reseña honesta*
Small towns can be wonderful places to visit, then there is Forrester, Texas!
Corruption, bullies, gossips - Forrester is not that pretty little town. There is one other thing, that’s where Logan is now, in jail, accused of a crime he didn't commit.
The circus performers and Sienna are hoping that Logan is released soon. She needs it to happen, she sees him going deeper into the memories that are wearing on him.
While Sienna is dealing with the eyes and rumors that follow her around, she is determined to show Forrester that her circus family has worked together to show the townies that they deserve to been seen as the hard working people they are .
Although the chemistry between Logan and Sienna is still steamy and the heat is still there she fears that Logan has changed. Good friends like Maisie, Trevor and Wolfgang along with the men of North Security there are for both Sienna and Logan.
I could not put this book down! I read it in one sitting. Watching Logan deal with his inner demons, seeing Sienna be the strong woman she has always been, while reviving the circus. Watching the character growth of Sienna during this entire series has made for a wonderful suspense filled series.
Author Skye Warren has given her readers the best of endings.
A heart clutching, crazy satisfying ending to the Smoke and Mirrors trilogy! It’s almost losing everything, risking it all, and fighting for love and a future that’s right there just out of reach. Deeper than the previous two books, Sienna and Logan solidify how much you love them as individuals and as a couple, finally facing their pasts, dishing out revenge, taking down an entire corrupt town, and reaching new heights with the circus, in a read that is poignant, hauntingly beautiful and heartbreaking, and just gorgeous.
Sienna absolutely shines in this one, putting her all into the circus and saving Logan, standing by him even as he’s breaking and taking her with him, and one hundred percent trusting their love is enough for anything, so good! And there is so much character growth, one of my favorite things, for Logan and Sienna but also for a lot of the side characters and it really drives home the high note of hope that it ends on and kind of gives it that melancholy feel of one door closing but more doors opening. Just a fabulous ending to a trilogy that feels like its put you through the wringer and your nothing but happy about it now that you’re on the other side because every second of it got you to the most perfect HEA.
I love Skye Warren's books & really enjoyed the first two of this series. However, there is a sudden, serious lack of continuity and poor scene setting in this book that spoils the story. White Lies ended with Logan arrested for the murder of the circus fortune teller, Alessandro Gallo. Yet Black Sheep opens with him in jail for the murder of Sienna's father. What???!!! We never hear another word about Alessandro until a brief reference at the end.
Lots of other inconsistencies just spoil the story. Some of the worst involve, for example, Logan & Sienna starting the chapter on the hill. Suddenly they're in the middle of the circus that's being dismantled & just as suddenly they're having sex, with no indication they've gone anywhere private. In another slip, Samantha North is playing a Stradivarius in a room with a piano. We're then told she takes her fingers off the keys! Really? It's as if two different people wrote this book with no consultation to match up scenes. The story itself is ok and is still an emotional tearjerker but it's so much weaker than her usual standard. There's alot of repetitive and dull introspection, a fair amount of sex and just so many inconsistencies with a weaker ending than I've ever seen from Warren. Really disappointing.
This is the 3rd book in the Smoke and Mirrors series. It follows Sienna, Logan, and the circus. There have been some big surprises and twists in the other books but none bigger than Logan being arrested.
That's where this book starts. The circus is sidelined and falling apart. Logan is not holding up well. The town has always been against Sienna and her mom because they look different. Now it's the towns opportunity to put Logan away and get rid of Sienna. Sienna isn't going down without a fight.
Sienna isn't just fighting against the town, the circus, past abuse, prejudices, but also fighting against herself. The circus made it pretty clear from the beginning they would never accept Sienna even if Logan did. How can Sienna save the circus and Logan? Logan did save Sienna from so much. Sienna and Logan have to believe in each other and the circus because as they say "the show must go on." Plus Professor Stratford gets a cameo. Best quotes: "Anything can be a prison" and "Because sometimes love is taking someone with you. And sometimes it’s letting someone go." 🎪🎢
I received a advanced copy of this book and voluntarily left this review.

Black Sheep is Book #3, and conclusion to the intriguing and suspenseful Smoke and Mirrors series. It picks up where Book #2 left us on a heart stopping cliffhanger where Logan is serving time for a crime he isn't guilty of committing. The odds are stacked against him. This causes him to doubt himself, his worth, and spiral into a pit of despair. There's corruption, danger, and deception lurking around every corner. Sienna is determined to prove Logan's innocence, but is she fighting a losing battle and putting herself in harm's way? She's faced a lot of adversity in her life. She's not about to give up now that she's found the love of her life!
What a wild we've been on with this circus and its characters. The entire series has been dark, twisted, angsty, and emotional. The plot kept me on the edge of my seat, unable to put it down. The action is non-stop. Some of the characters are good and some are evil. There is small town prejudices and preconceived notions. The steam and chemistry are off-the-charts! It is a hard-fought and hard-won HEA. This is a thrilling romantic suspense that I highly recommend you read!
First, I have to say thank you so much to ValentinePR and the author for gifting me an e-ARC of this book! I’ve had the honor or ARC reading the two books that came before this and I have to say they really all deliver such a story.
Black Sheep is a conclusion of this trilogy and is fast paced, intense, and dramatic. We were left on a cliffhanger in the second book and things pick up right where they left off. I absolutely love seeing Sienna’s resiliency and how everyone finally admires her for it. She deserved the recognition long ago, and when things looked gloomy, she stayed strong.
Logan and Sienna’s journey really put them through the wringer and it allowed for such an interesting story. It’s dark, morally grey, but such a surprisingly sweet tale of found family. There are definitely some darker things so I would be prepared for that before going in but these three books show such a growth in so many ways and I loved it! 🖤
All of these books are quick, spicy, and tension-filled reads that will have you turning page after page. The characters are quirky, the emotions are a rollercoaster, and the plot is just interesting! Y’all have got to add this series to your TBR!
Holly smokes and mirrors and illusions! What an amazing end for Logan and Sienna’s story!!!
I can’t describe how much I love Skye’s universe and I am obsessed with all the characters she creates! Every time I read a story written by her, I get attached to her characters, and getting to see them cross over to other stories, it only makes me feel more connected to that story and more involved in it.
The story of Logan and Sienna is an absolute roller coaster of emotions. Reading this book I laughed, I hoped, I was so angry, I cried, I wanted to punch someone, I loved, I was disappointed and I burned with the characters.
The insane chemistry of the main characters electrified the entire story and I could just feel it heating up my Kindle.
But this story is so much more! It is a story about strength, and love, and family, and hope! Brilliant pen ship and masterful storytelling! It was just perfect! One of the best stories of the year for me! It deserves more than a thousand stars ❤️
Black Sheep is the finale of this circus trilogy. It picks up with Logan imprisoned and Sienna bereft at their separation. This book is angst driven with Logan struggling with his incarceration and his loss of hope. It is surprisingly emotional and heartwrenching to read from both perspectives. Sienna tries tirelessly to find a loophole to free him while keeping the circus family together. She really comes into her own. With Logan's love as her motivation, she is able to achieve so much for the circus and its reputation.
The social commentary within these pages is clear. It is an exploration of otherness and being seen as an outsider, whether that's down to race, job, gender, sexuality. This book puts into words the impact being treated as an outsider has and gives voice to those people who may have been overlooked.
I adored this trilogy. There is always something a little magical about a circus based romance, and the family created by Logan is no different. This is a gripping, emotional and steamy finale.
This is book three in The Smoke and Mirrors series and it concludes Logan and Sienna’s story and omg it is definitely a must read. This book carries on from the previous book and just remember that you will need to read these books in order to get the full story and they are definitely worth reading. Logan is now in prison for a crime that he didn’t commit and unfortunately with him being detained his demons have come out in full force and it will take everything that Sienna has including her love for Logan and she is determined to not only pull back from the dark but also make sure that she can clear his name and bring him back from the brink and darkness that holds him captive and get him home to not only her but also the people that had fought alongside her. There are twists and turns along with loyalty, love, suspense, support, surprises, betrayal, drama, injustice, justice, demons, good friends, family, determination and emotional situations that will have you turning the pages and unable to put this book down because it is so addictive. Skye Warren is an amazing author and writer and she certainly knows how to keep her readers attention throughout while having you on the edge of your seat and I can’t wait to see what she writes next and I will definitely be there to read it.
BLACK SHEEP is the gripping conclusion to the Smoke and Mirrors trilogy.
Logan has been locked up in jail, and is fighting his past demons in his head. Logan has always been with the circus. But, now after getting out of jail, he doesn't want to be a part of the circus life, he doesn't know what he wants to do with his life.
Sienna loves Logan. She has repeatedly told him how much she loves and cares for him. Logan seems lost in his head, and wants to believe that Sienna can love him, but, at the same time, doesn't think he is worthy of having someone love him. In the small town of Forrester, TX rumors run wild with Sienna on everyone's tongues. She doesn't like the rumors, but can't escape the rumor's either.
Will Logan be able to return to his feelings of love towards Sienna and the circus? Or will he be trapped in his head with the past?
I did receive a free ARC Copy of this book. I am freely leaving an honest review.
We finally get to end the trilogy. It was a long wait but luckily I remembered what happened. There was some indifference from the cliffhanger to the start of this but it's not that serious. I did feel sorry for Sienna and Logan. They just couldn't catch a break. Now she is fighting for him, she is so used to fighting her whole life so this was nothing. This was a race to save Logan as with new evidence he is looking for death row. It's a struggle as influential families have a hand in everything. While she is trying to save him, she is also trying to keep his Cirvus family together. She is already an outsider how is she going to do this.. She may be losing Logan, because his light has died in the jail and pushing her away. Can Sienna save Logan, keep their love and save the circus family? A lot of surprises, drama, emotional and some spice.
The conclusion to Sienna and Logan's journey which is based around a circus that gave both a purpose and family. The second book in this trilogy left us with a huge cliffy when Logan was arrested for a murder he didn't commit and that's where Black Sheep picks up.
With Logan in prison and the circus is dis-array, Sienna is left to pick up the pieces as best she can. Proving Logan's innocence, with the town and law enforcement against them isn't going to be easy.
Sienna and Logan's journey is a fight. A fight for justice against corruption, the demons that haunt Logan, against a town who's rejected them and the circus to survive. Thier love and loyalty is tested many ways, with no gaurantee it will survive.
What an emotional and exciting finale to Logan and Sienna’s unforgettable love story this book was. Black Sheep was intense and gripping, gut wrenching and utterly consuming. And the chemistry between Sienna and Logan was just electrifying. Their passion and lust just comes to life off the pages, that is how powerful it is. I could not put this book down once I started reading. Not only is the writing is impeccable. But Ms. Warren delivered an incredible trilogy. It’s unique, unpredictable and complex. With remarkable characters and a storyline that is captivating, twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat and my heart thumping wildly. I just loved everything about this book and the trilogy as a whole is outstanding!
What a ride, the Smoke and Mirrors series is over. These two characters have been through so much and I felt all the angsty moments Sienna was going through.
Logan is in jail, wrongfully accused of killing Sienna's dad. And it doesn't help that the whole system is against them in her hometown.
Without Logan there, the circus is falling apart at the seams.
Sienna is determined to help Logan however she can just like he did for her. But being locked behind bars is messing with Logan's mind. His own personal demons have come out to play. Leaving Sienna to wonder if he'll be the same man she ran away with when she gets him back.
Thank you so much to the author and Valentine PR for this ARC to review.
Soo, we begin right off from the 2nd books cliffhanger. Sienna is thinking oh how to get Logan out of jail that he is falsely accused of doing. He's spirits is effected by being in jail and Sienna wants to show him that she is there for him. Friendships are tested, the found family loyalties are tested to, Secrets are revealed. Also, finally there are some townies step up to do the right thing, THis is the great ending to this trilogy and I can't recommend this series to everyone. Also, there is a novella to read about the ringmaster. I will read this next to see what happens. Anyways, great job and please add this to your TBR.. this is worth it. Well, one of many i recommend this year.
Logan is struggling as not only are he and Sienna separated but he is beginning to lose hope that he will be able to find a way out of his situation and the longer this goes on the more he fears for himself, Sienna, the circus and the performers.
Sienna has always felt ostracized by the town but with Logan and the circus she found a place that felt like home. She is ready to fight for what is right which is the love the share, Logan’s freedom and the circus as she proves that she is no longer alone.
I enjoyed seeing the evolution of both these characters and their relationship as they lift each other up when they need someone the most and showed that the challenges they faced only brings them closer and fortifies their love.
After the previous one being so poorly written, I almost did not want to read this one. I didn't really care how the story ended anymore, but I was also unable to pick another thing, so I ended up going through this to see it till the end.
But boy, was I disappointed. So, we end the previous book with Logan being arrested for the murder of Alessandra Galo, and we start this one with him in jail for murdering Sienna's father. Was it even the same person writing this book? There were a lot of other inconsistencies, especially with the timeline, that drove me completely crazy. And the inner dialogue went on, and on, and on, until a boring eternity.
Overall, I think this author is not for me, don't think I will be reading anything from her again.
This has been a fascinating series and the last book, Black Sheep, is a roller coaster of emotions. Ms Warren’s skill with words creates an evocative story, the first part made me angry - corrupt law enforcement and a judicial system that is biased and violence that goes unchecked. Sienna’s strength saves both her and Logan to say nothing of her creativity with the circus that not only allows it to survive, but thrive. Liam North is also a support. Then there is a really sad part that brought tears to my eyes, but finally a happy ending for not only Sienna and Logan, but many others as well and it seems that Justice is finally served.
This is Book 3 in the Cirque des Miroirs Series by this author. It is the amazing conclusion to the heartfelt romance between Sienna and circus owner Logan. These flawed and intense characters and the unique plot make for an intriguing read. Their sizzling chemistry and strong connection are undeniable as they navigate the dangerous road to their forever after. Their thrilling adventure ends with more drama and steam, suspense and danger, forgiveness and redemption, sweetness and frustration, twists and turns, and engaging secondary characters to keep the reader interested. An intensely emotional page turner.
I received an Advance Reader Copy of this book from Valentine PR and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
Hold on for the angsty, twisty, stressful conclusion to this trilogy! Sienna and Logan must face their enemies and biggest demons to overcome all that's pitted against them! Just as Logan saved Sienna when he took her from Forrester to join the circus, now its Sienna's turn to be there for Logan and save the circus for him! I loved how much these two grew through adversity and faced their demons to overcome them with love and strength together! This wonderful conclusion will keep you glued to the pages until the very last one, and then, if you're like me, trying to turn more pages for more! Not wanting it to be over! This was a great series!
Skye managed to have my stomach in knots for the first half of this book. She had me in tears when Sienna and her mom "freed" the dolls. This is a testament of good of an author she is. The only reason this book doesn't get a 5th star from me is mainly because of 3 things: I would have loved seeing more of how the sheriff had to come down of his high horse, there should have been a little more groveling on Logan's side and the whole tying up Kyle on Liam's basement anticlimactic debacle. I am happy with the ending, though. It was a great conclusion to their story.♥️

This is the conclusion to the Smoke and Mirrors trilogy. I love the growth of the fmc as she stepped up and did what had to be done when the mmc battled his demons. The pairs chemistry was still undeniably present even when the mmc was lost in his own head. The secondary characters made this story shine even brighter as they were there for the couple. I really enjoyed how this book played out as it still had me rooting for their hea. There was never a dull moment which kept me engaged from the opening pages to the very end.
