Great issue to just drop in on. Probably a good thing I didn’t read it when I bought it months ago because I absolutely would have ended up keeping up. Still, I may go back to start Ahmed’s arc from the beginning. Lots of really strong concepts (Matt as priest, seven deadly sins incarnated in people in his life) and threads (his failure with Electra, Kingpin’s possible redemption, monsters) that intrigue. Also wasn’t initially feeling the art (scrawny Matt is odd to me), but there are some great moments here. Zaharia particularly excels at movement the splash pages and action sequences are all striking. There’s a panel where Matt is kicking toward the reader that has retreat perspective. Some issues with the lettering and I find the coloring a bit unremarkable, but the content is strong enough to overcome that.

As a defender of this run I'm interested to see where this new status quo goes. There's a lot of potential here and I hope things can pick up and get cooking with it all soon
