Best book on James Joyce's Ulysses ever published.
Now over 50 years old and still it has no peers.
Fair, honest and sincere. Sultan sees Ulysses as a
flawless masterpiece. His book shows convincingly
that modern critical theory has added nothing to the
discussion of appreciating and enjoying Joyce's finest work.
If you read one book about Ulysses, this is the one!

Clearly well researched and thoughtful with a unique organization. I didn't find it particularly insightful however.
