As my pen name M.M. Boulder I write psychological thrillers and murder mysteries that bring the darker impulses we may not feel completely comfortable with into the light. My stories are full of lies and deaths, but there is always justice. A type of justice that's not afraid to get its hands dirty. I write morally ambiguous characters who are pushed to their limits and take matters into their own hands. In my world getting away with murder has never been so much fun!
No matter what I write every one of my characters are real to me. They exist. They are three-dimensional beings who demand that their stories be told. If I were to turn away from them, they would haunt me; and so I don't. Instead I chase after them and write down everything they say!

Bold and Riveting New Series
This is one we have all been waiting for. If you've read Doc, or Andrew, or even Tessa, you've heard of Janey. However, she's always been a mystery. No one wants on her bad side and no one wants to make her mad. Well, now we start to see why.
My friend, our intrepid and beloved author, has outdone herself. This tale isn't just a start, it's a reckoning of epicness that keeps you going.
A child with a fiery spirit, inquisitive and wondering, who will not back down. Oh, she hides, but that's because she's smart. Even as she hides, she learns. She gets beaten, hit, yelled at, told she is worthless, yet she perseveres. The strength of her soul is immense.
Her wagon train is attacked, she's left alone and wondering the plains and desert, well, mostly desert, and is finally saved. By Indians! Gasp! Yes, it's not PC, but at the Era it's written and from the PoV it's accurate, so hush. They form a bond and deside to help her, but she's not ready and needs to see and learn. When has the ever worked telling a teenager that? Ha! But learn she does and she starts to learn that not all is as it seems.
She learns to listen, survive, thrive and grow. She's still reckless, but at times, it's needed. She is a perfect example of tamed feralness. Smart, cunning, all the things and seems domesticated, until she's not. And it fits her perfectly.
The story progresses at a good pace and we learn a lot. Not gonna spoil it, read your own.
You have outdone yourself M.M. my dear. You're still the Jury to my Doc, but now I'm the Andrew to your Janey. Can't wait for the next one my friend.

Incredible new series
Having read all the Andrew Rufus and Doc Holliday books, I knew who Janey was and looked forward to reading her story. If Andrew’s story was one of huge impact and significance, then Janey’s is no less so. It’s not a quick and easy read, rather a deep and sometimes disturbing one, as Janey sets out on the road to revenge and discovery.
You don’t need to have read the other books before reading this, but I’d suggest reading the Andrew Rufus series first, before discovering why Janey is the person she becomes.
M.M. Crumley has become one of my all time favourite authors, with characters that are unforgettable. I cannot wait to know more of Janey’s story and to get to know her better.

Welcome young Janey
While this is an origin story of a character we have met in other novels, this is another great addition to the world of Andrew, Doc, Pecos and others. American Folklore and the magic found in the Wild West is perfect for Janey and out will be fun learning how she because the force she is in other series.

It took 2days
to read. I just had to experience the training of Jake (Janey) from a mousey do nothing into a capable warrior. The ones who "adopted" her were capable teachers.
Quite an interesting and compelling story. Wholehearted reading subject looking forward to the next book. Well dome MM Crumley... Well done

Awesome Story
Another great story by an excellent author. Crumley does a great job of character development and keeping your interest in the story line. I started reading yesterday and finished off the book today. Looking forward to the next!

Janey got a gun, but didn’t need it
What a tale! I am already in love with Janey. String, fierce and wild. I cannot wait for the tale to continue. Doc should respectfully fear her, and he knows it.

A Helluva Ride
The more I watch Janey grow into herself, the more I love her. I’ve only seen bits and pieces in our dear author’s other works. Finding out what makes her tick is a real joy. I can’t wait to see where Janey and Jake go next.

5 star are not enough
I don’t have the talent to Express how amazing this book is. if I’m truthful all of her books are amazing but the dialogue in this one is so authentic and so on point it drives the story, it sucks you in it takes over and you don’t want it to end.
