I’d read an entire new book just about these two doing daily chores, and living in their little happy bubble because I loved their story so much! The chemistry was so good, and Amos went at Genevieve’s pace until she literally couldn’t keep her hands off him by more. They were so cute together, then we got the spicy scenes and it made me love them even more if that’s possible. We love a man that will do anything to protect his loved ones, and Amos is such a protective and sweet character. The story was great, and the bonus epilogue was fantastic!

My reviews always contain spoilers, I write them so I can remember the story.
This is Amos and Genevieve’s story, Amos is Sienna’s brother and Genevieve’s best friend, (His To Keep) she’s playing matchmaker since she knows they will be the perfect couple.
When Amos needs to travel to Texas to pick up some bison for his ranch Sienna sends Genevieve with to pick up a new pottery wheel on the way home. Genevieve is nervous about the road trip, she has feelings for Amos but can’t imagine that he would be interested in her, she’s portrayed as neurodivergent. But, Amos is very interested in her, he has been since he first saw her. He’s older and worries that may be an issue for her but he’s all in with her.
The trip gives them a chance to get to know each other and for Genevieve to be more comfortable in Amos’s company. The close proximity of his truck and the one bed trope help move their relationship from pining to reality.
He pleasures her their first night in the hotel and the next night they have sex. I liked that the sex was written very realistically, not crazy over the top 7-8 orgasms and crazy positions. It just read like two people having good sex while learning what each liked and fantasized about. Neither are virgins, no mention for him but she had one bad experience with sex in college.
No third act break up or crazy angst. Once back home more sex, she moves in with him, more sex, and her getting settled into her new life.
There is a super charged emotional moment when she worries after Amos talks about future babies that she internally worries about her passing her condition onto her kids. But nothing comes of it cause Amos distracts her with more sex. Epilogue one month later with them engaged and bonus downloadable epilogue two years later with Genevieve and Sienna pregnant at the same time.
The title of book comes from their talking after sex around midnight where the confess their secret desires and fantasies. Like Genevieve wanting to be tied up , which Amos does and Amos wanting to have sex with her while she’s asleep, which they do too.

I didn't expect this book to be groundbreaking in any way. I just wanted something entertaining and short to help with my Goodreads goal, but this certainly wasn't it.
The writing style wasn't the best: one minute, you're in the middle of a scene or a conversation, and the next, it has already happened, and you're being given a summary of what was said, which makes everything feel unnecessarily confusing and disjointed.
But what annoyed me the most was how the characters' actions and personalities felt so inconsistent.
The MFC is supposed to be shy, quiet and easily flustered. She even says she's not very experienced sexually and how nervous she gets every time she looks or talks to the MMC. So, imagine my surprise when, the first opportunity they get, they're sharing a bed and she's telling him how badly she wants to do it with him. It came out of nowhere!
I kept reading, expecting to at least improve over time, but hearing about their days together got sooooo boring and their feelings for each other seemed really intense for no reason at all. I mean, until those few days together they've barely talked to each other. EVER. How can you see yourself marrying someone you know nothing about, aside from them being hot??
I don't want to get into a reading slump so I just gave up on this book.

What a wonderful romantic adventure story. Amos has to go to Texas from Wyoming to pick up some bison and he is talked into letting his sisters best friend Genevieve going with him. But he really doesn't mind since he's in love with Genevieve, he just needs to get Genevieve on the same page as him. Genevieve has some idiosyncrasies that she thinks Amos will not tolerate but she doesn't realize how madly in love he is with her. Nothing will keep him from her. This is a feel good read, just made me happy reading about these two getting together. It's fast paced and steamy hot, with a couple you want to be together. I loved it. This is my honest review I am voluntarily leaving.

Who doesn't love a road trip??? Genevieve joins her best friend's older brother on a road trip! The close quarters leads to confessions they have both been harboring and the chemistry they share to see the light of day. This love story is beautifully written with great characters and a sweet plot. It's a must read for any true romance reader!.

The author's writing style did not work for me. There were too many long paragraphs of internal exposition and not enough dialogue. We were told about discussions that had already happened off page but didn't get to read the conversation. This made the story unfold strangely and not at all smoothly. How the sexual relationship started was weird. One minute the FMC can hardly speak to him and is tripping over her own feet and the next she is totally OK sharing a bed and is rubbing herself on him and begging for him to make her cinaction. Poor and inconsistent characterization.

OMG!!! WOW!! Fab*u*lous Absolutely love this one!! I couldn't put this one down. This was a nice quick, short read.
Amos and Genevieve have known each other for a while, she's his sister's best friend. Genevieve and Amos's sister Sienna run an art business together. When Amos's sister has the idea to send Genevieve with her brother when he's making a trip to Midnight Falls, Texas to pick up some animals. Genevieve is going to look at a pottery wheel for their store. Genevieve arrives at Amos's farm, but she can't bring herself to get out of her car. Amos is about to go and see what's wrong, but waits. Finally Genevieve gets out and Amos is at there side helping her to get into his truck. Genevieve stumbles, and Amos catches her, then helps her into his truck. Along the way, Genevieve brings her sketch pad and pencils she is drawing when Amos asks her if she's ready to pull over to get something to eat and take a break from driving. After they grab some food, they hit the road once again. They are on their way and soon need to stop to stay the night. Amos gets them a room but tells Genevieve there's only one room available. Genevieve takes a shower and Amos orders some room service for them. Genevieve goes to bed while Amos takes a shower, she's already asleep by the time he's done. Amos goes to bed and pulls Genevieve up next to him and falls asleep. When Amos wakes up Genevieve is shivering so he pulls her closer to him. Amos's hand slips onto Genevieve stomach, when she wakes up he pleasures her. Before they get out of bed for breakfast Amos pulls Genevieve close to him so that they can talk. Amos tells Genevieve they both feel something for one another, and he wants to see where this goes. They hit the road after breakfast, Amos notices Genevieve doesn't asks to stop. Amos needs to stop so he asks Genevieve is she needs anything. Hours later they make it to Midnight Falls, Amos talks to the owner of the animals he's picking up. Amos gets to leave his trailer on their property and he can pick up the animals in the morning. Amos gets a room in town so that Genevieve can look at all the Halloween things in a town that celebrates it all year. Genevieve's favorite holiday is Halloween. After they watch all the festivities from their room, Amos takes Genevieve to bed. Amos pleasures Genevieve then they make love. Genevieve sleeps in the next morning, when she wakes there's a note from Amos that he went to grab them breakfast. Amos woke Genevieve several time overnight so they could make love. They hit the road and stop to pick up the animals, they need to check out the pottery wheel. Genevieve isn't happy with the pottery wheel so she sends a message to her best friend. Genevieve and Amos decide not to take the pottery wheel back with them. Amos doesn't want to stop on the way back home, only when necessary. When Amos calls his brother in law, he tells him he should pull over to rest if only for a hour or two. So Amos pulls over at the next stop, when he does he pulls Genevieve onto him and they fall asleep. When they arrive back on Amos's ranch, he tells her to head up to his bedroom and take a shower then climb into his bed. Genevieve tries to help Amos but he tells her he's got it. Amos gets the animals all settled before he heads to his bedroom, and takes a shower. When Amos climbs into bed, he makes love to Genevieve. When they wake up the next morning Genevieve needs to talk to Amos, but nothing she says will change his mind on how he feels about her. Part of the Midnight Falls, Texas series each can be read as a standalone get comfortable once you start this you won’t put it down until the last page has been turned. Amos sexy as all get out older brother who have given up everything to take care of his younger sister after losing their parents giving his all to their ranch ensuring she had a future, putting his own life on hold while she discovers her own, meeting his sisters best friends has him all twisted up inside, and now he has found something or someone that he wants to work to earn for himself other than the ranch he wants a chance to show her just how he feels about her. Genevieve is sweet is a curvy girl with exceptional artistic abilities so much so that together with her best friend made a business out of their art, but social settings tend to make her nervous which causes her to be clumsy, a little anxious even though she want her own cowboy but she keeps thinking why would a cowboy want an anxious curvy girl like her and her best friend takes the choice out her hands by setting her up to ride with her brother to go pick up some bison for the ranch. The magnetic pull between these two can’t be ignore and the trapped together on a road trip has it growing stronger by the time they arrive to their lodging to realize it is only one room with one king size bed well use your imagination but will she believe this cowboy really wants her, will he convince her, will she be okay with her best friend setting her up, and is it their time to find their own happiness?

Standalone within a multi author series, Tory brings us the story of Amos and Genevive. An instalove little sisters best friend romance. Amos has devoted his life to ensuring his sister gets what she deserves and needs to spread her wings, while he looks after the ranch. Working hard he's put his life on hold except for the workings of the family ranch, but after being introduced to Genevive there's something else he wants. Watching his best friend fall and love his sister and seeing them finally get their happy ending, just pushes Amos more into his desires and needs for the curvy, artistic Genevive.
Social settings are not Gens strong suits, so while she wants a cowboy of her own she never thought it'd be possible due to her clumsy and anxious ways. But she likes Amos, and a set up by her best friend Sienna nudges them closer together.
Dual pov writing gives us an insight to Amos and Genevive's emotions, steamy scenes highlight their closeness and desires for one another, close proximity drives the point across even more, no cheating, no drama and no angst makes this a nice easy romance read, novella length keeps the read under 2 hours perfect if you want a quick hit of happiness and the HEA is just perfect.

Take one sneaky sister with matchmaking on her mind, a gorgeous redhead that he can’t help fantasizing about and add in a long road trip, and Amos finds himself hoping to end to his self-imposed control in regards to keeping his hands and thoughts to himself. Both he and Genevieve, his sister’s best friend and business partner, have been attracted to each other for awhile, have felt the sparks and have indulged in naughty fantasies, but have never even hinted at what they were feeling to other. Good thing Sienna, his sister, decides to spur them into action by giving Genevieve a reason to accompany Amos on his long trip to Texas. Let’s just say that Amos finally makes his move and Genevieve is extremely receptive. There is lots of heat, lots of heart to heart communication and a very satisfying happily ever after for them.
I have to admit that I love how Amos truly sees his Genny for who she is, accepts what she sees as her flaws and loves her wholeheartedly. She feels safe, protected and seen with Amos and lets go of her fears about not being good enough or worthy of love. They make a wonderful couple.
I will happily recommend this engaging and endearing book.

Steamy, sweet instalove! A road trip set up by a meddling sister and best friend, one room that happens to have only a king size bed, a cowboy who’s been waiting to shoot his shot, and the girl he can’t get out of his head. It’s got all that mine that you can’t get enough of, Amos totally has you melting he’s so thoughtful and hyper aware of Genevieve’s every little need, and when they get back to his ranch…in his mind he’s redecorating, moving her in, and well on his way to forever and that’s before he’s even managed to unload the truck.
It’s still got all that yummy smut crack this whole series has dished out like candy but there’s definitely a super adorable attentiveness to Amos that makes this one as sweet as it is hot and just makes you love him more. It’s more than heart melting that he recognizes that Genny has some social anxiety and it distracts her a lot and he goes out of his way to make her comfortable and I swear it’s his life’s mission to make her know that the sun sets and rises on her in his eyes. So cute!

I’ve been waiting quite a while for Amos to get his woman and they’re finally here!! I was hoping Genevieve, Amos’s sister Sienna’s best friend, would be the one to win his heart and I was tickled to pieces that she did. She was just as sweet and deserving of a good man as Amos was of a good woman and they fit together perfectly!
Amos was SO hot and extremely sexy and, to me, absolutely MADE this book! He’s just one of the MANY reasons, I urge readers to grab this book though. Even if he was all this book had going for it, it would STILL be worth it but there’s so much more to it than that which, if you’ve read any of the rowdy Johnson boys books, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. If you haven’t, WHY?? To me, although they’re all interconnected, they can each stand alone which makes it possible to start right here with Amos and Genny. She is his sister‘s best friend. And when his sister asks her to accompany him on a trip to pick something up, she should’ve suspected ulterior motives, but she has always had a weakness for the handsome cowboy. He has noticed her, but she is his sister‘s best friend and he is 10 years older. He is ready to throw caution to the wind, though and claim her. It was nice to see a neurodivergent female in the lead, and how her differences also endear her to him. This is a short story format so you don’t get a lot of complicated character development or detailed plot lines. However, you get enough with the story. Without labeling her diagnosis, you understand her challenges and her superpowers. You see what a solid and determined man he is and how committed he is to loving her. They get spicy and things get steamy. Their HEA wraps up their story sweetly in the epilogue.

This book is a part of the Midnight Falls, Texas series and focuses on Amos and Genevieve. Amos has wanted Genevieve for a while but she, for the most part, stayed to herself and was closed off to a lot of people. When Sienna, Amos’ sister, ropes Genevieve into going on the road to Texas with Amos, he finally gets the perfect opportunity to finally win over his woman. I loved how Amos knew exactly what Genevieve needed and how to help her cope with her anxiety. He was so patient, protective, and possessive over her from the gate. I absolutely loved seeing the two of them together and for them both to finally get their happy ending. This was a great story and a great addition to the series!

His tender care is heartwarming and has Genevieve's confidence skyrocketing, it is beautiful to see her bloom under his love. And as her confidence grows, we get to see naughty Genevieve emerge! We have taken a little detour from the His to series. Amos is Trey Johnson’s best friend and Siennas brother from His to Keep book and Genevieve is Siennas bestie. They had chemistry from the time they met but Genni is neurodivergent and has anxiety issues which she thinks will hinder any relationships but she’s unaware that Amos has deep feelings for her, so when a chance to have a trip away with her presents itself he grabs it and he’s going to make damn sure she knows how he feels about her. This was a sweet and lovely read with just a nice amount of heat. Amos really is a wonderful man and loved how he knew when she was feeling overwhelmed and protected her. A quick read with a great hea.

Sister meddling always works! This is about Genny and Amos. Sienna is both Genny's best friend and Amo's sister. Her idea after finding her love is that Genny needed to find her own and who better than her brother so that she could become her sister for life! This is cute as Sienna comes up with a good reason for Genny to accompany her brother to Texas, and Genny doesn't wholly disagree with Sienna but knows she is up to something. Genny is attracted to Amos, so if something is going to happen, it will be on this trip! If not, then Genny and Sienna need to be best friends forever!

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the story of Amos and Genevieve. Genevieve is best friends with Amos' sister Sienna. When Genevieve is around crowds, she has anxiety and gets very upset. Amos notices Genny and has been patient with her, hoping she will be comfortable being around him. When Sienna asks Genny to go to Texas with Amos to look at a pottery wheel, she agrees. Amos is going to Texas to pick up buffalo for their herd and is happy to have Genny on the trip with him. He knows it is time to claim her has his own. i really liked Amos and how he treated Genny with love and understanding. Genny really liked Amos, but she was so anxious, she didn't think he would ever want to be with her. I was so happy they got their happily ever after.

In this book we meet Genevieve & Amos. Genevieve is just looking to work and keep her head down not drool over her best friend's almost brother in law. Though she can't stop thinking about him she is sure he doesn't feel the same about her. Amos can't get the beauty out of his mind but with the age difference he is sure it would never work. When they are stuck on a road trip he knows that he either has to hold on to his control more than ever or give this a real shot. Can these two find a HEA or will they forever kept apart?
Another amazing story by this author. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

While this book can be read as a stand-alone, I strongly recommend reading "His to Keep" which provides even more insights into Amos and Genny. Amos's sister, who just happens to be best friends with Genny plays matchmaker setting up a road trip. From there things take of and heat up quickly.
This is a great short story with an age gap and insta love with a buildup. It is a sweet story where Genny has quirks that gives her lots of self-doubt. Amos sees the real strong and caring person that Genny truly is. Well worth the read!

Hard to find any fault with this book. The MMC is so many of the things you look for in a swoon-worthy guy… strong, dominating, intense, and exceptionally considerate of all things when it comes to the woman he is interested in. The FMC is quirky, clumsy, endearing, and loves hard in her way as well. I enjoyed their journey taken in the book and their relationship. This story felt like a continuation of a series, but I certainly was able to enjoy it with only the backstory of other characters I’d get snippets of here and there.

This romance was totally hot and very romantic. I love the Best Friend’s Brother trope , and that the heroine was neuro-original (I prefer that term to neurodivergent). The story was fun, and sweet with a lot of good spice.

Amos is the older brother do Sienna. Sienna is Genevieve/Genny’s best friend. Sienna sees the way Amos and Genny look at each other and she has a plan. Her plan is for Genny to go with Amos to pick up the bison and look at a pottery wheel. Being in the truck will give them the opportunity to find out more about each other. I like that Amos was older and more sure of himself with Genny. Genny is younger has some insecurities, shyness, quiet and a little clumsy. Amos was not afraid to show her how much she meant to him. It was a tender, passionate and steamy read. Great read!.

This story was captivating and beautiful. I just finished reading it. Genevieve is amazing. She is smart, autistic, and beautiful. She is ready for her forever cowboy. Amos is the sweetest. He is a cowboy, handsome, and dedicated. When her best friend set up a ruse for Genevieve with her brother Amos on a road trip. I'm happy she did because it gave them the kicker to make it happen. I love them together especially with their midnight confessions. The writing was done beautifully and flows throughout the book. Even though the book is short, it packs a punch. Amazing work again Tory Baker!

I really wanted to like this. But it was just so boring. I liked that the h was a little different and struggled with social interactions and anxiety and that the H loved her as she was but for a short romance novel it was just dull and lacking a discernible storyline. Taking a road trip isn’t a storyline. Also, how does driving “through” midnight falls make this a Midnight Falls book? I say it doesn’t. Not a great intro to a series that is supposed to be based in Midnight Falls. I already read Nichole Rose’s book in the series because I love her and her book did not disappoint which I guess made this one extra disappointing.

Amos & Genevieve were perfection!!! Amos has carried a torch for his sisters best friend for years now. Genny is also crushing but has convinced herself that he would never be interested in someone like her. In steps her best friend Sienna with her meddling. Sienna convinces Genny that she needs to go with Amos on his road trip to see a pottery wheel.
Amos has a sneaking suspicion what is sister is up to and goes along with it because he is tired of not being with his woman. Their connection and chemistry was evident from beginning. I loved that Amos got her quirkiness and her dislike of large crowds without calling her out on it. He just showed her that he loved her for all that she was.
There were plenty of steamy moments between the two of them but also some tender moments where they just talked late into the night about everything. I enjoyed these two immensely.

Loved it so much!!! I mean it’s always good to be back near or with the Johnson family - and that includes Sienna now too. I just adore Amos. I never expected him to be so sweet!
