Selene "Angel" Matthews and Vasileios "Cage" Georgiou are members of the Via Daemonia Motorcycle Club. Through sheer grit and determination, Angel clawed her way up through the Army as a top-rated sniper. After serving on the front lines of numerous deployments, she finally found her place and some peace with the Via Daemonia MC. Now, as the owner of a tattoo shop and the proud mother of her beautiful daughter, Bree, Angel once again has brothers who respect her, watch her back, and give her the support she always craved. There is one patched member, Cage, whom she has never been able to look at or call brother. Not out loud anyway. But with his reputation for sleeping around with the most beautiful and sexy women, how could he ever look at her hardened, muscular body as anything other than plain?

Cage, a former Navy submariner, dedicated years to his country and to make up for the guilt from a teenage mistake. After his discharge, he found a new home in the Via Daemonia MC. Now, as the owner of a successful construction company, Cage helps his brothers achieve their dreams and goals. The baby of a big Greek-French family, his striking looks have always made him a magnet for women. He was never ashamed of his past dalliances—until Angel. Now, as he pursues the woman of his dreams and seeks to start a family with her and Bree, his past indiscretions threaten to derail his future.

Will Cage's and Angel's newly minted love be strong enough to weather the coming storm as the VDMC prepares for war?

4.3 stars.
I liked their dynamic, the side characters were very fun and entertaining. I wasn’t expecting it to be so sad but I was crying through a lot of it. Take that with a grain of salt though cause I cry VERY easily.(too happy? Cry. Too sad? Cry. Too sweet? Cry…yeauh…)

I don’t know. I liked it.
It wasn’t the most satisfying read, there was a couple big chunks where things were just kind of almost listed out. Like here’s what happened sort of thing and I mostly just skimmed those to get to parts with dialogue. But 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’ll probably keep reading more from this author as the books come out and I get bored.

What a way to help someone heal. This book broke me, then stitched me back together. Angel is such an amazing woman with so much strength behind her and the force of her love for her child, and those around her is just.. admirable. Showing that you can still be strong while also feeling so deeply, hurting so much, is such a powerful gift. Love this series so much.

Tropes and Triggers: Miscarriage, References to Violence, Torture, Attempted SA, SA of a minor

This is my first book in the VDMC series, and as usual, I'm going to have to pedal back to read the others and catch up, lol, but I really enjoyed reading this story. I liked how strong of a FMC Angel was, and that even through all that happened in the book and throughout her life she was still willing to give so much love. I liked how even though she was hesitant with Cage she still opened herself to him and his heart. And even though Cage was an honorary womanizer before the beginning of the book, I liked that he was faithful throughout it to Angel even when he was trying to get her out of his mind.

The characters in this book, for all their flawed pasts, we're severely solid and great. I loved Bree, and how she was willing to try and overcome her triggers, and how Cage's son, Aaron, came into their lives with such an open heart as well.

Elise Gedicke did a fantastic job in this book, and I loved every second of it.

A Cage for Angel

This one had me in all my feels. From heart-wrenching pain to all the laughter to all the sadness to the most heart-warming tender moments. I couldn’t put it down. Elise Gedicke sure knows how to keep you up all night long.

3.5 rounded to 4
The author can write and this was a decent book but there was so much going on with other characters and POV’s that it was a little bit of a jumble to write. First we have the MMC who is a playboy sleeps with a lot of women and the MFC who is part of the same MC. It seems MMC wanted the MFC since they met 4 years prior from starting the book. She was also attracted to him but did not believe he would want her and stay faithful. The MMC thinks after they hook up that he finally has her and the reason he had not made a move was because he overheard her saying how she would hurt any of the brothers who made a move on her. So that was one thing I disliked - instead of in those 4 years having a discussion with her he continued to fuck a lot of women. It just came across as he was not ready to stop fucking around.

So MFC adopts a girl who was hurt and abused and the MMC ends up donating a kidney that saved her life and kept the MMC close to them. He tried to get her to date him after they slept together but she refused citing his reputation. I did like the fact that he stayed celibate for a year until they hooked up again. The transitions of time passing were not that smooth and read a bit abruptly.

This is where it starts getting a bit of a tangled mess. MFC we find out after that year is still listing after MMC and the same for him. She suffers a miscarriage but she has no idea who the father is and starts to feel guilty. Meanwhile after she recovers herself and daughter are almost raped by some members of a rival MC. The MMC makes a bold move and they start to dare. Then out if no where we get tossed in he may have a teenage son when he slept with his GF best friend in high school. We also have this thing going on with the rival club. We have drama with a honey and then the son shows up he is gay and his Mom was trying to get him straight. They keep him then we have another son adopted by another member who is gay and the two like each other. I loved the fact that the son was gay and how it was handled but I did not like that he had a long lost son. The MMC was so supportive and teased his son but it went from them just getting together to a family of 4 to quickly. I loved that we had a wheelchair rep and downs rep and how it portrayed them as people and being capable. It’s just that it jumped all over the place with POV’s and it felt more like it was being tossed in there to make a point not that it brought something to the overall story.

Also, the club honey being brought back and doing a DNA test to learn one of the brothers was the father. There was no real talk about birth control STDs. With the lifestyle portrayed that felt a little irresponsible. The other honey who tried to setup the MMC using semen she kept from her encounters with the brothers was glossed over. She said she used in baking which means god knows who ate it. There was no real questioning on it and no let’s get everyone tested ASAP. It also seemed to indicate that at least some were not using protection or if not were leaving the condoms for the honeys to grab if they wanted.

Overall the concept was good I liked some points about the book but it was very choppy and the long lost son and how quickly things went for the mains was very abrupt. I did not feel like the son was necessary and felt like it just pointed out how the MMC was a real womanizer but it was like the MFC went from being concerned about his past to no doubt to quickly. It seemed even more so after the son showed up and it also felt unrealistic that with her suffering a miscarriage (they discovered it was the MMC he was drugged in a kidnapping plot and the MFC was drunk and they had sex in a club) that she would not feel uncomfortable with his son at least a little when they were still mourning the lost baby and coming to terms with the fact that it was it. The drugging made it realistic that he would have blacked out but her being drunk and not knowing remembering it was him was not that realistic.

I loved that the MFC was experienced. I liked the start and how concerned she was with him being an hound dog because it’s usually portrayed as the MFC being jealous and how can he want me with all these beautiful girls or how can he want me I’m not experienced enough. In this book yes there was underlying jealousy and feeling inadequate but because her body type was strong and muscular different from his hookups. The truth is for most IMO is that anyone would be concerned about getting involved with anyone who slept around so much. It shows a pattern of non commitment and no care for another person. Not to mention the risk of STD’s or them in the guys part having long lost kids. I really felt that the lack of talk on STD’s was a major irresponsible point.

I received an ARC of this book and this is my honest review. 5 ⭐ 2.5 🌶 4 ❤'s for the romance.
I really enjoyed this read, I love this series but this is probably my favorite book of the series. I thought that it started off really well and it just kept moving along. I don't feel like there was any filler or slow moments in this book. It was very action packed and had a lot of heart and emotion. Like all of the Via Daemonia books this book has a lot of heavy themes in it so please check triggers before reading. Some triggers are miscarriage, child endangerment/abuse and attempted SA. Again these are only some triggers please read the full list before reading.
In this book we get Angel and Cage's story. Angel is the only female fully patched member of the MC and she feels like she has a lot to prove to herself and everyone around her. All Cage want's is to give her everything she want's and help her carry her load.
After Angel and Bree, her daughter, survive an attack, Cage stops his subtle actions of taking care of her and lets her truly see how much he cares for her and want's to be hers.
Their story is very emotional and heavy and beautiful. It shows that even beautiful things can come from heartache and sometimes we don't always have to be superwoman and try to do it all on our own. With the right partner anything is possible and nothing can break that partnership. This book has a lot of family and LGBTQ+ representation with some amazing supportive parents, and with religious hate toward an LGBTQ+ character, but don't worry those guys get what's coming.
I really enjoyed this read and had a good time with their story.

I have been waiting for Angel and Cage’s story. It does not disappoint. It is action-packed, intense and emotional, as well as addictive. I couldn’t get enough of these two or of Bree who is becoming as formidable, strong and courageous as her adoptive mother. So many issues or situations have conspired to keep Angel and Cage apart in the past, not the least of which is his player reputation and her refusal to be one of many. They have gotten closer in the past year because of their mutual love and admiration of young Bree, needing to see her recover from her horrific ordeal and get settled in her new life. It takes an unexpected loss and another attack by a rival club to finally change the status of their relationship. Cage is no longer content to sit on the sidelines, waiting for Angel to give him a chance. Now he is in full on protector mode, determined to claim both Angel and Bree as his own. They both let down their guards, share their pasts and tightly held secrets, all the while having their club family at their backs ready to offer support.

One thing this book does well is illustrate the power of connection and of family. Angel and Cage are forging their own connection and building a family of their own among their larger extended family, the Via Daemonia MC. When someone in the family is threatened, the whole extended family rallies to offer support, protection and vengeance. I loved the intensity, the spice and the twists this book provides. I will happily recommend this book and the previous book in this series to those who enjoy spicy, darker romance with lots of suspense.

🖤🖤please check TW before reading. It isn’t dark but has many triggers. This review may contain some as well in addition to some spoilers 🖤🖤

I’ve struggled to come up with a review to portray how much I love this book and how much this book meant to me.

Angel is the only female member of the VDMC but that doesn’t make her any less badass. She is fierce and loves with her whole being. After she adopts her daughter Bree, she becomes pregnant after a one night stand and suffers from a miscarriage. The emotion this author put into writing those scenes are absolutely phenomenal. Having gone through that as well I felt it so much and it helped me heal tremendously. It’s so hard to write scenes such as that but Elise did an amazing job.

Even after all of the battles shes has to go through in this book she is still the tough badass she is and I love her character her so much!

I can’t say enough about this book. I’ve read them all up to this point and I can say that this book is 100% my favorite and I don’t know how she will be able to top it. I guess I’ll just have to keep reading. 😜

Thank you so much Elise for writing such a wonderful, emotional, empowering book. I will recommend this book forever. 🖤🖤

Mewsings-

I love this book! The book is a page turner, with a good blend of action and romance and I want to tell everyone to read it.

What I liked- Cage sees Angel for who she is and loves her for it. Angel is a Badsass and I really like her. She’s an MC goddess. I love that the characters in this book have formed a Found Family based on love and respect. I cannot say enough about how much I love this book, especially because of the depth of the characters.

Here’s the breakdown:

Genre- MC Romance

Length- novel

Heat- 🌋🌋🌋🌋🌋 with a serious penchant for shower zexytime

I Want To Be Angel When I Grow Up

We got to meet Angel and how strong she is when dealing with all of Bree’s issues. But in this book we get to see what a total warrior woman she really is! Angel and Bree have formed this great little family, but Cage really wants to be added to the family. And not just as Bree’s kidney buddy. There are some twists and turns that will make you reach for your tissues. There is also lots of drama and some turmoil that will make you angry, but just know the VDMC will take care of it in their own way, which can be very creative!

Angel and Cage fight hard, but in the end love hard as well. Elise did an amazing job with this book! There are some issues and topics that could be triggers in this book, but they are handled with care and respect. The other thing I loved in this book was that just because Angel and Cage were falling in love, neither one changed their personalities in order to be in a relationship. Angel continued to be the totally amazing warrior woman and Cage continued to be the one to bring humor and soften her rough edges! Well done Elise!!

Good story. Kept my interest the whole time. There were ups and downs and you felt like you were going through them with the characters. Glad to see Carlos relationship seems to be better with his brother and the MC in this book. Also loved how strong Bree has gotten and how she has become a bada** in her own right. I liked the story of the MCs relationship once they got past themselves. I was especially glad to See Scar, sad he's still distant and disappointed he's not with Ivy in a relationship. I really hope his book is coming soon, I'd love to see him find happiness and someone to have a HEA with and interested to see what kind of person that would be. Someone innocent with alot of light, or some like Ivy, I was hoping it would be Ivy, that can go toe to toe with him and match his darkness. Maybe someone in the middle… Can't wait for the next addition

I was anticipating Angel and Cage’s story and I was not let down at all!
Previous books in the series hinted at the attraction they had for one another and knowing there was more than meets the eye helped the build up for this book and getting more of the “behind the scenes” moments these two had.
A very emotional story that had me in tears and my heart hurting for both of them as a couple and as individuals. Angel is a tough as nails, but a complete marshmallow inside. The love she has for her new daughter and those she cares about has no end and Cage is so lucky to have earned her love and respect. She also is super lucky to have earned his in return.
A beautiful story for beautifully broken, strong, loyal characters.
I feel lucky to have read this.
There are many emotional ups and downs and sensitive subjects tackled, so please be aware of the trigger warnings before you start.
Each book in this series gets better and better and I love every moment!

Book 5 in the Via Daemonia MC is Angel, Bree and Cage's story. This isn't the typical hearts and flowers love story so get that out of your head before you start reading. It's better! There's tough issues that may be sensitive to some readers so please check the trigger warnings. This story had me feeling everything and at times, all at once. This author took on real life issues and handled it in such a beautiful way. It's about survival, family, trust and ultimately love. This mish-mash of people who all have their own tragedy and trials end up being the very best sources of comfort, compassion and support anyone could need. It's also a fantastic reminder that family isn't only blood, it's also chosen. I absolutely recommend Angel!

Angel is book five of the Via Daemonia Motorcycle Club Series.

Angel is a strong and determined individual. She fights for those who can't fight for themselves and doesn't want to show any signs of weakness. She goes through some heartbreaking moments and doesn't want to appear weak to those around her. But she needed to realize she could rely on others to help her through anything she was going through. I was glad to see she had Cage in her corner willing to fight for her and their future.

How could you not fall in love with Cage. Yes, he has a bit of a history as a womanizer, but once you crack his shell you see what a kind and caring guy her really is. He is willing to give Angel everything she wants, until finally he has enough of her stubbornness and finally lays it all on the table. He was a perfect partner for Angel.

This was another great addition to the series!

Outstanding Emotional Read!

It’s been a very long time that a book has made me cry so much and I think this is the first book that had me crying in the first chapter. It was like a cleanse. This book has it all. The tears that I shed, the laughing out loud and the plot was a chef’s kiss. This author has true talent and this book really showcased it!

This is the story of Cage and Angel. We have seen them before and when we did, the chemistry was obvious even then. This book took that to the next level. Their story is not an easy one for them or for us as the reader, but it’s one I wish I could read for the first time - over and over again.  If you haven’t read from this author you are truly missing out. This author has a permanent spot on my 1 click list.

So good. Angel adopted Bree after the ordeal she lived through. She had help getting everything to go through so quickly. She didn’t tell anyone how she did it. You find out at the end of the book. She liked Cage but she didn’t think he would want to settle down. He liked her too but he was not given a fair shot with Angel. He had a player rep and he stopped when he realized he only wanted Angel. All of the same characters are throughout the series. I love how they are all a family and look out for each other. Angel finally gave him a chance and she didn’t regret it. Angel and Cage had a lot of change happen in their lives. Elise is an amazing author. Can’t wait for more in the series.

This is book 5 and I have read all the books one after the other and now I am lost! I love this group of characters and the family they have made. This book is centred around Angel and Cage but you get to catch up with everyone else too - bonus! There is so much happening in this book, a few baddies that need sorting out but at the centre of it is family. I loved Cage and Angel together and how they opened up to each other. Though this could be read as a stand-alone , I would recommend reading the ones before as they just get better.

We also got more of Scar - can’t wait for his book.

I'm not usually one for reading about female bikers. But since I already love the series, I wanted to give it a try and I'm glad I did. Angel may be one of the guys, but she has dreams and emotions that she hides beneath the surface. Cage and Angel have an ongoing love/hate relationship because of ongoing misconceptions and neither letting their guards down. After suffering a heartbreaking tragedy and then a vicious attack, they are finally brought together to fight through what lies ahead. This is also a story about accepting personal responsibility and people that are different. It is fast paced with graphic violence and the involvement of many in the VDMC, which can make it confusing.

Truely enjoyed this book. Loved Angel and Cage. Though both were very strong on their own and had issues. They both were willing to allow for each other’s issues as well as their own. Angel opened her heart to Bree in an amazing way and Cage stepping up with the kidney and his love and support was awe inspiring. His absolute acceptance of his gay son only made him stronger. I’ll be looking for other books by this author she is wonderful.

Angel, Cage and Bree

This was a really great story with Angel adopting Bree and having her back always. Bree suffered at the hands of a sick and demented individual, but Angel and the club members made sure karma still existed.
Cage was the man-whore at the club until his feelings changed for Angel, but he was also the hero that saved Bree's life by giving her one of his kidneys.
Cage received a wonderful surprise of his own.
Looking forward to seeing what happens with Ivy.
I was really happy to see more of Scar in this story as well.

Highly recommend!

Dave and Angel, captivating reading

Angel recently adopted Bred a young girl thrown from the rear of a van and left for dead until Bear a nurse and medic found her and stopped her bleeding to death. The club had gone above and beyond to find a kidney donor to keep her alive, her kidney buddy had been Cage and Angel had legally adopted Bree.

The relationship between Angel and Care her daughter's " Kidney Buddy" has grown and he wants to adopt Bred and marry Angel but readers will have to read this to discover the outcome

This series just keeps getting better and better. Angel's story is one of friendship that turns to love. But who is that love interest? These two are very steamy together. Tragedy almost tears them apart before they truly get started and I cried big, fat, ugly tears. However, we still get a HEA and the thrilling suspense and gritty action of this MC world. It was also nice to watch as the other characters and their relationships continue to grow and evolve.

Oh my what an awesome read. I absolutely loved Angel and Cage’s story ❤️❤️❤️ They are like the ultimate power couple. Catching up with the VDMC as usual is a most pleasurable experience. Plenty of chaos, drama and danger but the MC never falters, they protect family. A definite page turner and a very entertaining read. 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ you will not be disappointed 😎🖤

Loved this book. Angel and Cage were meant for each other. She was still the strong badass woman she had always been and he didn’t try to change that , in fact he encouraged it. Cage was not what I was expecting him to be. He was such a surprise and just what Angel needed for herself and Bree. Can’t wait to read more in this series.

this one was exciting

This story was outstanding. The characters were entertaining and the plot exciting. At no time was is bored. We had Angel and her Cage finding their HEA. We had Bree coping, Cage gets a surprise visit, a new teenager gets adopted by Steel and the club battles a rival club who sells drugs, beats kids and treats women horribly. Lots of action, lots of love. The bad guys are dealt with and two horrible Moms get what they deserve. Highly recommend. Enjoy

An amazing suspenseful and heart pounding story

So much happening with Angel, Cage and the MC. Angel has become a favorite in this series. She is stronger than she feels at times and makes sure that her Bree is taken care of. When a few of the Pythons try to take what isn’t theirs Angel and her daughter take them down. Lots of surprises and heart breaking moments in this story. But those moments make this series one to read.

Tough But Caring

I binged this series ever since I discovered this author a couple of months ago. I was waiting for Angel’s story. She intrigued me ever since she stayed glued to the hospital taking care of Bree. This book has so many layers to it, as well as surprises. These characters have so much depth, faced so much adversity, yet still survive and thrive as a family. I highly recommend this book and series.
