Such a fun, fast read! The characters are wonderful and their chemistry is perfect. I love that it’s a rom-com story that pokes fun at rom-coms. I can’t wait for the next book, the cliffhanger is killer!

Ashley Chapman sets up a world where supernaturals are a dangerous minority that are struggling to find equality among their human bretheran. We meet Amber, a writer who is struggling to keep their identity a secret while being pushed to make their next novel the greatest ever. We are also introduced to Ruben, the famous Mr. DeVito, who is the face for HOME and is running for political office as the first openly vampire canidate.

Fate brings the two together and they form an agreement, Amber gets to know the supernatrual world more intimately so that they may be able to write a compelling love story, and Ruben gets to show off a human companion to help himself in the polls.

Neither of them expected to catch feelings.

It's a sweet, slow burn story with characters who are as awkward as they are relatable. There's mystery afoot that sets up a book two very nicely! Don't miss out on this one!

This is a cozy read for me. Navigating the best of two worlds and personal issues were never easy. Despite the little mishaps between the character, i love how the author portrays warmth between the characters. This fast paced book proves things still works against all odds and there's always hopes and deeper connection somewhere. Love the book!

Thank you for the ARC opportunity 🙌.
